I recently have purchased a new pc for gaming. I live in the Netherlands and my windows xp pro came in Dutch. Now I would prefer to have it in english. I look on the microsoft site and there were language interface packages. I tried one for german and afrikaans and they work fine. The english one however is not there, it takes me to a readme html file for some reason.

View 7 Replies View Relatedi opened photshop today and found out there was a problem with licencing or something so i unistalled using control panel and thought i should just download the latest to see how good it is installed cs4 extended all when smoothly but got one measly error at the end: English Language Pack Error: Error 2 so i unistalled AGAIN and reinstalled still same error there is nothing on my computer stopping it i checked all the processers.

But the computer keeps restarting a few times a day without any notice. I had a look everywhere on every forum (almost) and read about this Zotob worm that turns your comp off all the time. So, from the microsoft web page i did the PC check thing, and it says it found nothing, but i downloaded the patch or something just in case, and it said it won't install because the language is in Swedish, and i only works in English. The Installshield process comes up in FRENCH instead of English. I have the English US version of Windows XP Pro. I download the US English version of the drivers. I live in Canada, so I am able to understand French and the install did install the English version of the drivers/files. How can I fix this, so it is back in English?

It is driving me nuts because the message i keep getting is "Setup was unable to install the chosen locale. This is where the problem is. I don't have the choice of English to choose from, ONLY French is the single choice when thumbnail is clicked. I need to introduce 3 Thai characters in order to illustrate this problem more clearly.is the first consonant in Thai language, ข is the second, ไ is a vowel which is on the left side of consonant, such as ไก and ไข. Now we put these 2 consonants and 2 words in proper order,In the shop where I bought that dictionary, it works pretty well, but I didn't notice what system is was.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a problem with accented characters. When I write myself, If I use Times New Roman all accented characters will be changed to some strange symbol. Even if I change the character with the dictionary program, it will automatically change back to the strange symbols. This problem I have overcome, by using ARIAL. The real problem is, that the e-mail I receive in aforeign language, it has the same strange characters. I have also installed on Oxford English-Spanish dictionary. Even the writing on this dictionary gets changed from the original characters. This is an example (Desesperaciçn) the o gets changed into a ç. Or an è gets also changed into ç. If I log into a non English WWW site, even on those pages it will change the accented characters to some strange simbols.

I know the system was fat 32 when I bought it with Windows ME installed. This computer has not worked well since I did the new install. Is it possible to change it back to fat 32 or do I need to do a new install?
