Installing Kazaa: Keeps Hanging Up In Step 5?
Nov 12, 20031.] ZD/Net and C/Net should warn readers not to use the free download s/w that claims to block ads on Kazaa. Kazaa has a system that cancels your Kazaa s/w, and has a fix to reinstall the s/w. After 3 days I'm still trying to download the s/w but it keeps hanging up in step 5. of the download process, and its driving me nuts! So beware! 2.] C/Net should make it easier to find this site.

This tweak can be used on systems that have the above mentioned problem. Here it is...1. Download and install KaZaA.2. Right-click on the shortcut of the program and click on "Run as...", this will prompt you to select a user to run the progam as..do not forget to select the "Protect my computer and data from unauthorized program activity".3. Dec 28, 2008I have windows xp and all previous service packs have been installed thru automatic update. However when trying to install SP 3 using windows update it fails to install. I have then gone to the Microsoft website and downloaded SP3 and tried to load it from my desktop. It will go thru the installation and when it gets to the finish stage it seems to stall. I have left it run for over 1 hour with out it finishing, I have both tried to shut down andnormally and also hold the on button to turn the computer off. Windows will then only start in the safe mode. In the safe mode I can go back to a previous date and restore settings and re-start in the normal mode.
