Continually get this message when hitting hyperlink states am not connected to internet which is incorrect. Have Windows XP service pkg. 2, Dell 4700 this is driving me crazy.can someone tell me what's going on and how to correct the problem.
View 9 RepliesI have a 2 pc network i had this page cannot be displayed coming up on both pc's when I tried to go online I managed to get online on one pc by switching every thing off and turning back on in the following sequence pc1 pc2 cable modem router box this has done it for me in the past but this time I only got 1 pc back on line. I've spoken to my isp but they say they dont support networks and as I have one pc online thats there job done.So its my problem now can anyone help.I have long since lost my router cardboard box but on my plastic box it says 4 port 10/100mbps ethernet broadband router and the router make is mentor.

View 14 Replies View RelatedI use Google as my home page and lately I been having intermittent problems with it. When I open my internet explorer, it says "Internet Explorer cannot display page". It's not my internet connect because if I type in an address other than my home page in the URL bar it will open. My AOL works too. After hitting the home button a few times, my home page, Google will open. But after awhile surfing the net, when I hit the home button, I get that message again that it can't display page. Right now as I type this, I hit the home page button and it says cannot display page so I hit the back arrow and I come back to this page and I can continue typing and I can send this thread. What's wrong with my home page "Google"?

View 2 Replies View Relatedi have a network at home, with two wired pcs and a wireless laptop connected to the network. we all had the internet until i went onto a website on my computer (one of the wired ones) whereupon loads of popups came up. it took me a couple of minutes to close all of the popups, and when i returned to the desktop, the wallpaper had been replaced by an internet shortcut to a site advertising a spyware blocker. i then found out how to remove it in the desktop settings box. that was fine, except i couldnt get onto the internet afterwards, and programs such as msn messenger and half life 2's steam did not log on either. however, the other wired and wireless computers could still access the net etc................

The icon appears on my desktop with the page title and all, but when I double click it, it just opens up my browser and loads about:blank.In the shortcut file's properties, and then gives me the file's size, location,etc.but it doesn't list the URL anywhere. It's just getting on my nerves having to copy a page's URL to a text file on my desktop if I want to remind myself of something.

Now the monsters are small, and so is everything else outside of the game I have no idea what I did, I checked the Screen Resolution and it seems fine, and I also checked my monitor settings, which is fine.
The monitor started showing graphic distortion. I ordered a new monitor but had the same distortion on it. I updated the ATI drivers but it did not solve the problem. In trying to trouble shoot the problem following directions on the ATI website, I changed all the graphic settings to the lowest and slowest available. This got rid of the distortion but the settings need to go! Now I cannot open the display settings.

View 7 Replies View RelatedAll my text/font display settings seem to have changed. I downloaded a freeware program today called avi2dvd, to convert avi video files to iso files for burning to DVD. I tried it out, got frustrated with it, and uninstalled it. After I uninstalled it, I went to check my email. That's when I first noticed that all the text in my yahoo email account had changed - it seemed smaller, like it was at a lower resolution.
I clicked on a few more pages and it was the same for all of them - the text was just not as...smooth. Not as readable. And definitely smaller. It's not just a font size thing, I'm not that much of a newbie, I tried enlarging the font and it's definitely a resolution thing, not just a font or size issue. Then I tried out some other programs, and found out that the problem was system-wide. I use a writing program called Final Draft, and the text in that is also less readable.I found one program that hadn't been affected: IE all my web pages display fine in Explorer.
