Slow Running Computer After Installing New Memory?
Oct 18, 2006I Have A Dell 4300s Computer Which I Recently Had Rebuilt. Went From 18 Gig To 80 Gigs. Added 512 Ram To Existing 128. Also Switched From Juno Dial Up To Verizon Dsl. Speed Was Great For Awhile, But Has Slowed Down Considerably. I Did Add 2.0 Usb Port, Spybot,an Epson 7800 Printer/scanner, And Several Other Programs. I Currently Have About 20 Icons On My Desktop.

Apr 29, 2007Specs for the laptop. Intel T2050 @ 1.60ghz 1 gig of ram This is a brand new computer right out of the box. After Xp loaded up I Installed Norton then spybot AD then some games after which I defrag and it took 8 hrs to defrag on a 100 gig HDD. The computer runs very slow and have no clue way.

Installation cannot complete and I get the following message: Could not open key: HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftInternet ExplorerMedia. Verify that you have sufficient access to that key, or contact your support personnel. I have no idea what that means, this is my home computer so there are no administrators or support personnel why don't I have access to this key? How can I complete the installation?

May 10, 2010Lately my computer has been extremely slow, not just internet slow but onboard slow. For example, if I click on an application from the desktop it will sit there for 10-20 seconds before anything happens. Occasionally I'll click multiple times on something and nothing will happen then 30 seconds later it will open multiple instances of things. This delay has been happening with just about anything I click on, acting like the computer's busy doing something else when nothing else should be going on. Computer Running Very Slow / Svchost.exe 100% CPU?
May 28, 2007ok my computers runing very slow and i did a search and came across this sight.i pull up task manager and it shows svchost.exe is at 98-100% this has ben going on for a month or longer ive ben takeing the one thats causeing the problem out the task manager.When i do that my sound go's with it. I have went every where looking for a fix found out my norton was kinda doing the same thing but i hope i fixed it today. id be very gratefull if i can get this fixed.
