The problem is that when ever i record using my microphone, all sound on my computer is recorded (i use headphones, so its not from the speakers ). I've looked about for a "record what you hear" setting but cant find anything. I've updated all the drivers, muted the microphone in settings, tried quite a lot.

View 1 Replies View RelatedThis is about sound issues from the computer as in cant get sound from the computer.Went to computer properties then multi media controller has yellow question mark next to it so tried to update driver it goes to the wizard but it will not find any drivers for it without a cd which dont have. Tried roll back drivers says no drivers are backed up on file. Went to sound audio video game controllers audio codecs says all the codecs are working for this computer. Control panel sound audio says no sound device is connected. The sound card is realtek ALC655 AC 97 enhanced audio controller. Again got these drivers from foxxconn and exactly same issues. Extracted the files easily enough from wizard but when go to exe run folder the run it says cannot find setupfilex.dll. Then go to gxdver it dont do anything. Go to exe icon run and logger then it goes cannot run please find the setup exe file from the directory. In the folders cannot seem to find anything that will install the actual drivers without a conflicting issue somewhere. So everytime download this compressed driver folders for the drivers it has problems when the files are extracted.The sound card is enabled and mutli media controller says code 28 drivers not installed.

Audio Driver enabled but inactive due to an unknown problem.
The sound on my computer is broken, any time I try playing music it says "iTunes has detected a problem with your audio configuration. Audio/Video playback may not operate properly" No sound is coming from the speakers, all I ever hear is a beeping noise from the computer its self when, for example I try typing before I've clicked the page.I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling Quicktime and it didn't work.

Before I reloaded it, it has Media Player 10, but the sound did not work on that either! I have installed other programs like Nero ShowTime and the sounds works perfectly, so it must be a codec or something in Media Player. He said that when he shut down the computer he walked away and it was on the screen "Windows now shutting down".He came back 30 mins later and the same screen was still on, so he decided to pull the plug out to turn the computer off.He turned the computer back on the next day and it started up, then stopped, the computer then started back up but with an alarm kind of sound like the computer was locked. You press the restart button and the alarm still keeps going. The only way to turn the PC off is to pull the plug out.

every times i want to shut down my computer I always hear a weird sound, that sound can be found if you click on control panel and go to sound, speech, and audio devices and then click on sound and audio devices and then click on sounds tab and the sound I always have is the one called 'Default Beep'on the bottom I think this is not normal because I asked several friends but they do not have this sound prior to shutting down.
I have windows xp and I noticed that my whole computer is been running kinda choppy.anything that has audio will skip,including music,aim sounds,videos,video games,anything in general.also my mouse moves choppy.It will pause for a second and then start moving again with no problem and then pause again.The mouse mainly moves choppy when I load up certain programs.
View 14 Replies View RelatedHaving problems with my roommates laptop. It takes about 10 mins for it to boot up. And once its running its not running real good. Also when it starts up, or if there is any load, sounds crackles. Since I started working on it I have run, Adaware, Defrag, Registry cleaner, Driver updater, and virus check, and everything has been cleaned, but it has not helped much. The computer has plenty of free resources, hard drive is only half full, and there are no big programs on here that should slow it down. I also went and purged all the programs out of startup that dont need to be running.

After a while my sound will cut out and when I try to play things in Winamp or anything it will stay stuck @ 0:00The sounds will sputter for a second and then freeze. Also when the sound dies, sometimes programs will start to freeze up to the point I can't even kill them in tskmgr. System sounds don't play either.I've tried updating to the latest drivers. I finally got my internet up and I began to play Counter-strike. The sound sometimes messes up. I can hear other peoples shots just fine, but when I shot, it is almost silent.
This started last night, the only thing that I did that was out of the ordinary was ran Avast's thourough scan fully, but even after that my sound worked, so it didnt delete the driver to my knowlege, but when I do a dxdiag and look at my audio, it doesn't exist, there is no sound card installed, and allI use is my DFI Lan Party UT RDX200 CF-DR mother boards on board sound. I tried installing the driver again fom DFI and to no success, now when I went to install the drive again, I got an error saying that this device isnt approved by Windows. Could windows be preventing my audio card from working?
When i start my pc skype says that he hasn't found recording hardware. Itunes doesn't work, like Windows Media Player, Winamp etc. The sound is gone. I tried to fix it myself, cause i disabled a driver that seemed to have a problem, but i don't remember what the name was. Now not only the programs have no sound anymore, but windows is silent too. It sure wasn't the driver of my sound card. I installed Everest and he doesn't find any Windows Audio, and says the realtek has "noDB". When i am in the music tab of the "Diagnostic help program for DirectX" "windows synthesizer" test sound doesn't play, but the realtek does.
