whenever i delay before clicking, the settings on my win7 decide for me, such as delete, etc. This is dangerous. How can I change from "Mouse Over" as the effective point (I forget the terms from my visual basic of years ago!I hope you understand me.) to the mouse click.ech Support Guy System Info Utility version 1.0.0.1OS Version: Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium , 64 bitProcessor: Intel(R) Pentium(R) CPU P6200 @ 2.13GHz, Intel64 Family 6 Model 37 Stepping5Processor Count: 2RAM: 1844 MbGraphics Card: Intel(R) HD Graphics, 730 MbHard Drives: C: Total - 260242 MB, Free - 222555 MB; D: Total - 29690 MB, Free - 28507 MB; Motherboard: LENOVO, MoutCook, Not Applicable, WB01561071Antivirus: avast! So I still have Windows 7 Ultimate Beta and going to buy Professional soon. But something weird is going on.
I have Thunderbird which checks all my email addresses at startup but it says "cannot connect" so i started to check out my wireless. My wireless says it has "limited access" to my network, says it is "not connected" and when I check the wireless status, it would say that it isn't connected to the IPv4 and IPv6, all while being connected for "00:01:30+"
Then after several minutes, it would just start identifying and connect to the network/internet real fast out of nowhere. My wireless is a Intel(R) PRO/Wireless 3945ABG network connection
Also, I have a VMware to run Ubuntu which bridges the internet to go online, if this helps. (I cannot uninstall since it took me 4 weeks to get it running)
My mouse takes a full minute to be usable after boot. the first time this happened I did a system restore and it fixed it. It came back, I did another restore, it came back again I did it 3 more times like this. I am current on all updates. I am running a asus px658d-e board. All the drivers are up to date. I am running the most recent bios, I am using a usb keyboard and mouse. I have tried booting with the mouse in each usb port with no improvement. I deleted the mouse in the device manager and rebooted. it reinstalled the driver and the problem did not improve. I am running win 7 pro 64bit.
I use the Microsoft Basic Optical Mouse v2.0 with my Samsung Laptop and the USB port disconnects and reconnects the mouse often. This makes it tough to use the mouse with my computer.
I connected my phone onto the same port for syncing and didn't have issues. Could this be a problem with the mouse (2 months old) or the laptop (4 months old)?
PS. I have unchecked Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power for all the ports, but the problem still persists.
This issue is bugging me for some time.Does anyone know how to stop mouse keys from starting on their own on startup? This happens since I first used them on this pc.I did try turning them off before logging off,but it didn't work. It's not something serious, but the icon confuses me.
My computer qwill freeze for a few seconds followed by system lag which seems to get worse (freezing every few seconds/taking 2 seconds to recognise a click etc.). If i reset my computer it resolves the issue but i was hoping you guys may be able to give me more insight as to what the issue may be.It nearly always happens when i am browsing in firefox. Have never had it happen to me during gaming etc. which is why i'm hesitant to believe it is to do with my GPU or it's drivers which are always kept up to date.i have included pics of the cursor and what processes were running at the time of the freeze/lag
Lately I have been having an annoying problem with my wireless mouse. For some reason the pointer will lag, and be very sluggish and jumpy. I've had this mouse on this computer for about a year and I've had no problem. Out of nowhere this problem is happening. I've tried re installing drivers with no luck. I tried uninstalling intellipoint and re-installing it, but when I tried I got the BSOD, and then it completely disabled my mouse and keyboard so I had to use wired peripherals to go in to safe mode and do a system restore. Now everything is working again, except my mouse is still jumpy.
i'm trying to order something from a website and the cursor want open my cart for me to look at it and finish my order. this is happening in several sites not just one.
Is it possible to turn the mouse acceleration on only when using the touchpad on my laptop and off when I'm using the mouse? I usually don't use the touchpad when the mouse is plugged in if that's an
I probably spilled some coffee on the keyboard and now I can not inactivate the mouse pad in favor of the external mouse. The only way I can eliminate the conflict is to uninstall the mouse pad. That works fine but every time I reboot for something I have to uninstall it again. As you know rebooting is common and therefore I have to reboot twice for every time I have to reboot. Anyone with a solution to this problem? This is a HP laptop. The mouse automatically installs everytime I have to reboot. I do not shut down normaly.
my Windows 7 starts up really fast probably about 1 min. and then I can use the system but one eye shut down I get stock at the shutting down screen where I see a loading symbol and it just says shutting down for probably about a half an hour to an hour usually I have reformatted and it still doesn't what do I do I think it may be caused by drivers or something I'm not quite sure.[advertizing deleted by mod]My System Code: OS Version: Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate, Service Pack 1, 64 bit Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-2410M CPU @ 2.30GHz, Intel64 Family 6 Model 42 Stepping 7Processor Count: 4RAM: 6125 MbGraphics Card: AMD Radeon HD 6470M, 512 MbHard Drives: C: Total - 599234 MB, Free - 387726 MB; F: Total - 250 MB, Free - 152 MB; G: Total - 99 MB, Free - 70 MB;Motherboard: Sony Corporation, VAIO
I've been having a problem for a while that everything is taking longer to load upMy computer startup time has drastically increased, from around 20 seconds (to login screen) to around 40 seconds. Additionally, individual programs take longer to load, too. Where Chrome used to be a nearly instantaneous load, I now have to wait around 10 seconds for it to start up and become responsive. However, after opening each of the programs for the first time (after each computer startup), closing the program and reopening it will result in a normal load time. Only the startup times have been affected; the actual performance is fine.I've already run virus scans (I have Norton Security Suite), chkdsks, tinkered with msconfig, and many others, just short of reinstalling Windows. I'm not too sure what to do now, as a re-installation would take quite a bit of time to create a backup[CODE]
Acer PC with w/7 working fine until one day it starts all "do not shut off computer, configuring windows etc." It is ok once in a whilebut everytime I boot the computer I go through the same routine and, as a result, this idiotic message is cramping my style.
After pressing the shortcut "sleep" key on my keyboard. My monitor will turn off immediately whereas the CPU will take awhile to sleep. Before i reformat my computer, my CPU will off immediately together with the screen.
my Toshiba laptop takes more than 3 mins to start up even after i upgraded to 6 GB of DDR 3 RAM .. My processor is Core i3 330M 2.1 Ghz and OS win 7 64 bit.
I'm not sure if this is the ISO (doubt it) or my hardware (more likely).
I have motherboard: Gigabyte GA-MA785GM-US2H BIOS version F2 (updated today 12/12/2009)
CPU: AMD Athlon II X2 245 RAM: ddr2 800, 4GB (2x2GB) Windows: 7 Ultimate 64bit Video: GeForce 8800 GT 512MB, PCI-Expressx16 -- latest driver from nvidia (downloaded today 12/12/2009) Monitors: two (2) 19" Widescreen LCD. One is DVI, another is VGA+adapter=DVI.
Problem: Win7 setup (install) -> first restart -> bios finished -> blank/black screen for 10 minutes (or so)... then win7 loads and resumes fine. This 10-min delay happens every time win7 restarts. Note that this happens even initial setup/install, no other programs installed yet.
Previous OS: Windows XP Pro 32bit, SP2. No problem with booting.
I have tried unplugging one monitor, switching, using the onboard ... all with same result.
Can anyone help me, I'm desperate -- about to ditch win7 and go back to XP pro.
when the system boots, everything goes smooth and fast, untill the welcome screen show up, it takes like 25 seconds!
I've done everything, disabled some of the unnecessary startup progs in the msconfig, but what really annoys me is that on my older PC ( dual core and a 3gb of ram ) it wasn't that bad, it used to take like 3~4 seconds on the welcome screen....
"idle" but it's even after I boot up.So RIGHT after I boot up I check the task manager to see how much RAM is being used, and it's ALMOST ALWAYS 45% or more (I have 3 GB of RAM in total, so this is using around 1.35-1.5 GB of RAM right after boot-up).I have already gone into my services thing and disabled all the things that I believed I wouldn't need or set it to manual, I have already deleted programs and files that I do not need, and I have blocked programs that I don't need from starting at boot. But even still, it uses that much RAM. What else can I do to use less RAM?(and my boot-up time is between 3 to 5 minutes. How can I speed this up?Pentium Dual-Core E6600)
I have a W7 64b laptop. My mouse has started having problems, first it didn't click on things when i pressed it but if you persist it does no no big harm there. Biggest problem I am facing is the mistaking of the wheel with mouse 1. Some times when I am browsing the net and i have to scroll, and generally every time I move my mouse fast, it automatically presses the wheel. It is getting really annoying and I dont know how to stop it. I changed the mouse with another, and I had the same problem.I dont know what to do.I believe its a virus but pc didnt find anything with avast.
I'd like to have 2 mouse pointers locked inside 2 different windows and also have my keyboard inputs being active on both windows at the same time.Imagine 2 notepads open with the size of half screen each, and have 2 mouse pointers controlled at same time by the same mouse for each of the windows and typing in both notepads at the same time.whats the program called?
I have a TT esports theron its a nice mouse but for some reason it no longer reads it as such. Whenever i plug it in it reads it as HID-compliant mouse. Which doesnt allow me to use the program and set the extra button commands. How can i go about fixing this?
I am using Dell 15 (4G RAM, Core2Duo 2.20 GHz). Using Microsoft Window 7 Pressional (6.1.7600 16385). I have applied many security updates. I also use Window Security Essential.
My window boot takes 10 minute from yesterday. I am using Dell 15, Core2Due 2.20GHz, 4G RAM. Window 7 Professional (6.1.7600), Microsoft Security Essential
Just got a laptop, running Win 7 Home Premium, back from Geek Squad, now it takes a LONG time to load up when booting. It takes well over 5 minutes before you can do anything. other than taking it back to Best Buy?
Everything was fine with my pc for about 6 months now since I did a fresh install on a ssd. Today everything was working great, I never install windows 7 updates and use my own nod32 anti virus. I have windows 7 64x
I shutdown the computer and everything was fine. When I tried starting the computer again it was stuck on the windows logo with starting windows words. The animation of the flag was animated and not frozen. My post message submitted at a regular timeframe. I did do windows restore and still takes about 30 min for windows to start. Tried windows repair, took 30 min to even get into it, and startup repair says there is nothing wrong. Safe mode gets stuck too and won't start up.
I also checked bios to see if there where any changes, but everything seems in order, the boot sequence and order and so on. I have no clue whats wrong and scared to turn off the computer incase next time it completely stops starting.
I am using Windows 7 Home premium 64bit(genuine) on 2.30 dual core CPU with 3 GB. I reinstalled windows and a month after the reinstall, whenever I right click on only any file to open/cut/copy/rename/delete, it takes too much time, and many times the folder in which file exist goes unresponding. I am using AVAST (after using 60 day trial of Norton) and it is updated regularly.
