Message Outlook Decides To Open Is Not Related To Desired Email Thread
Aug 29, 2011
When attempting to Forward an email, Outlook will open a recent message from the Sent Items folder, instead of opening the desired message in draft view to be forwarded. The message that Outlook decides to open is not related to the desired email thread.I have:
-Run the Microsoft Office Repair;
-Removed and re-installed MS Office;
-Run ScanPst on all Archives;
-Disabled cached exchange mode, cleared the cache, re-enabled;
-Removed additional personal IMAP email accounts from Outlook.
This PC is a Dell Optiplex 755 Small Form Factor with Core 2 Duo and 2GB RAM.About a month ago the Hard Drive was predicted to fail, so I created a Windows Image from the Windows backup utility, swapped in a new hard drive, and applied the Image.I tried searching the issue, but Google could not provide any help on such an obscure issue but with terms common to other problems.
I have created an adobe form using acrobat pro x. It has an email submit button. When you click on it up comes the window for your email (Outlook) and then it automatically sends your form to "Joe". We currently have it on our intranet for all users to be able to access. If the user has Windows 7, the form will send without outlook opening, but if you have XP, it will open up Outlook and then the user hits 'send'.
I am using Outlook 10 and windows 7, but others have XP and Outlook 7 and they do not have the same issue, only windows 7 users
I have Win7 64bit OS & Office 2003 which I have been using perfectly ok but a couple of days ago it stopped editing emails in word I reloaded Office & then Avast was not found so I reloaded that but I now can't open a link from email.When i do click on a link I get the following message "this operation has been canceled due to the restrictions in effect on this computer. contact your system administator" I am the system administator?Also I have not been able to update Office 2003 & some other updates.
I have looked on my windows live mail for an area to stop my emails from opening immediately. Everytime I open my email the body of the message appears immediately.I don't want that
When I click to open the outlook on my windows 7 operating system it says loading profile for ages then and error message appears with "Can't open your default email folders. Express can't open. Your server may be down for maintenance."
I have Windows 7 64-bit pro with Outlook 2010 installed on a Dell laptop. Is there a way to configure Outlook email to sync with my work email? Activesync works perfectly on my phone so that portion of the network is open at my work. I have been doing some reaserch and in order to get Outlook to sync with Exchange Server without VPN, RPC over HTTP or Outlook Anywhere must be enabled on the network. I know for a fact that our IT department have that portion disabled.
I have a new Dell Inspiron 14Z running windows 7 pro 64bit and i'm using Microsoft office 2010. I'm trying to retrieve archived emails that i backed up on an external hard drive from a previous computer, the files are .pst which is an outlook format but i keep on getting an error message saying the file is not an Outlook data file (.pst). i dont have any other way to retrieve these emails since they were deleted from the server and its about 1.5 years of work emails. Not sure what to do? should i move the files from the external driver to a different location on the computer and open them, or are they corrupted and need to be fixed?
There raises a flag that I have to make a Backup. I thought and read this is a well worked out function in Windows 7, let's try !
But as you expect and the reason why I'm here, there is a difficulty.
The function wants to backup 2 hard drives (C: and H:) and I can't uncheck H:. C: is my windows disk and H: is my disk where I keep movies and stuff . I don't want to backup H: . I only want to back up C:!
What I read on several places is that Windows 7 Automatically selects the drivers which contains System files (in the back up function he calls H: a system disk). In Disk Management it also says Disk H: System/Active/Primary Partition.
I am for sure I installed Windows 7 on C:. I didn't do anything on H:.
Also an other thing I found out is that MSE uses the biggest drive for downloading updates and installing the updates (use it as source). But I don't know if that is the reason it is called a system disk.
I want to make my backup this way, how can I only make a backup of C:
There are some forms that I fill out on line that when I hit the send button on the form it tries to open and send it via outlook but I don't use outlook. I may be using g mail or yahoo or some other provider for my e-mail. Is there a way to change that? Normal e-mail works fine, it's only when I try to respond to a form on the internet, and not all forms do it.
For the last week I have received on a daily basis an email on my Windows Live Hotmail address, warning me that my mailbox is almost full Not so.Also there is no tick on the option to keep a copy on the server.So it looks like a scam or an attempt to introduce a virus.However; there is no invitation to click onto any link - except the one to add it to my safe senders list.
I clicked on a link from what I thought was a relaible souce, only to discover that once I clicked on it, all my contacts were sent the same email , obviously anyone who saw who the mail was from would assume it was me and if they clicked on the link the same would happen to them and so and so. how I can get rid of this bug as everytime I add a new contact the process is started all over again. I have done various deep scans using Norton and AVG but they find nothing.
I'm coming from XP (yeah, I'm late to the party) and looking for an email client that isn't too much different in feel from Outlook Express. Windows Live Mail ain't it. Thunderbird looks like a maybe, but there must be better.
I am new with Win 7 and am not very experienced. When I tried to write to a forum administrator I get the message "cannot perform this operation because the email client is not properly installed". What can I do to fix this?
Will all my current rules apply to the mail I receive at present from different people after they have updated there info with my new address? Or will I have to delete the rules and start again as and when I receive the mails? I am thinking probably the latter will apply though.
I have 3 accounts setup in my outlook 2010. Usually when i open my program it would open the dafault email adress first. Now it just loads a random one that i do not want to see first. I've tried removing the account but that does not work because it still appears in the sidebar without the mail getting sync and i can not deleted it. How can i change what email adress is open by default, also how can i delete that account that no longer sync, there is no delete button when right clicking
does anyone know a way to copy or export outlook autocomplete email address's (the address comes up automatically as you type the first few letters) form a computer with xp with outlook 2003 to a windows 7 computer with outlook 2003?
I have just brought a new lap top with windows 7 on it. At present I use windows XP and the outlook express 6 program . Can anyone tell me how to move my address book (with 500+ addresses) and also my email files over. Do I need to download outlook express on to my new lap top first?
I can get the pix attached to an email in outlook 2010, but it won't let me mail them. says they are unsafeThey are my pix and never been anywhere to get corrupted. How do I get past this problem?
