table of contens can not be selected.
header/footer cannot be edited.
1 way to solve this is to save it as odt and then back to doc. but I want to know what causes this.

Apr 13, 2011I have to print a few dozen PDFs, each of which have between ten and one hundred pages each. The problem is, none of them actually reference their source, so when my boss reads them next to each other and piles them together, he has no way of knowing which ones came from which PDF. Is there a way I can add a "header" to the top of each page of a printed PDF, much like how when I add page numbers to a print job they go in the "footer"?I'm running Windows 7 and printing a PDF from Firefox. If it allows for more customizable print jobs I can print the PDF from Adobe Reader.

Sep 9, 2012I have a Corsair case with an Asus P8Z77 LX motherboard. I have already had Corsair send me a replacement front panel connection for the USB 3.0 ports, and am now stuck at what to do. Basically USB 2.0 connection speeds are abysmal over the front panel USB 3.0 ports. USB 3.0 (Hard disk and flash drive) drop connections promptly. Sometimes things can be copied from them successfully at a reasonable speed. But writing any data to them it always, every time drops out and Windows 7 reports that the device is no longer available.

Bad Pool Header BSOD - Cannot Boot Into Safe Or Normal Mode
Jul 2, 2012So I just got back from a 3 day vacation, and when I came back I rebooted my computer only to come back to the "Start Windows Normally/ launch startup repair" naturally I chose startup repair, it froze. Tried starting normally, took me back to the same page. So I tried booting in safe mode, took me to the BSOD that read Bad_pool_header. So then I tried to putting in my windows 7 installation disc to see if I could do a system recover from there, but as soon as I try boot up with the disc it takes me back to the same BSOD. I feel completely stuck as I've tried everything I can think of.

Bad Pool Header Error - Installation Crashes With Blue Screen
Oct 8, 2009i m on a amd dual core 5200, abit k9n with latest bios, ati 4830, 2gb ram 800mhz (2x1)
i have downloaded from my university Windows 7 x64 version (the free copy for students build 7600) but i have also tryed 2 other versions (rc i think, both 64 and 32) with no success.
first of all, the starting installation page is very slow, after 4-5 minuts on "setup is starting" (advance mode, not upgrade), and at the second step (expanding windows files 0%)
installation crashes with blue screen:
first time i get: bad pool header error
second time i m on another blue screen: "a device driver attemptingto corrupt the system has been caught. the faulty driver currently on the kernel stack must be replaced.."
now i will try the 3rd time to install in "safe mode" and i post new info here.
if u need something more to know for helping me ill provide them as fast as possible.
BootMGR Image Corrupt - File Header Does Not Match To Computed Checksum
May 10, 2011I've got Windows 7 x64 installed and my power went out during boot today. After restarting, I got this error during boot:
"BOOTMGR image is corrupt. The system cannot boot."
I put in my Win 7 disc and tried to boot from it, but after pressing "any key to boot from cd / dvd .." I get this error:
"The file is possibly corrupt. The file header checksum does not match the computed checksum."
All the fixes I can find online have to do with using the recovery console, which would be awesome, if I could actually get to that point. I even tried my old Vista and XP discs, but I don't even get as far as above. The computer just stops with a small cursor near the top, often having to be powered off to restart because ctrl+alt+del doesn't even work. A fresh install is just not an option because I have important business data on the computer that I can't afford to lose. Also, I literally couldn't do that even if I wanted to since none of my windows discs will even load.

Apr 16, 2012i have been getting these "bad pool header" and "system service exception" bsods for about a day now (the "bad pool header" one tends to pop up more often then the other btw). i ran a registry cleaner which didn't work and ran memtest this morning and it showed that my memory was fine. the bsods tend to occur more often when i am playing a game or running some program that uses a bit more memory but it also happens when i am just on the internet. on the other hand, last night i did nothing but surf Internet for 3 hours and didn't get a bsod at all. however, since then i haven't been able to do anything for more than 10 minutes (without being in safe mode) without it crashing, and this morning it completely froze until i turned it off. my os is windows 7 home premium 64bit. it came preinstalled from the manufacturer and unfortunately i do not have the install disc. the entire laptop is less than 2 years old and there have been no major hardware changes and i have never reinstalled the os.

Jan 2, 2011I've built a brand new PC and decided that I would like to install windows 7 64 bit on my SSD, I got a disk+key from my university before christmas so that'd i'd be ready once i'd built it.
I built the PC yesterday and realised that I'd left my external DVD drive at my university accommodation, I'm at my parents house for christmas break so that's a few weeks left. I can't really wait that long so I used my parents laptop (which I'm posting from now) to turn the disk into an .iso and use the microsoft USB utility to make a USB stick that i could install from.
However when I tried the install gets to 'installing features' and gives 'windows cannot install required files' error code 0x80070570 I looked the code up on google which sent me to a lot of threads here, so far I've tried:
Taking all but 1 stick of ram out and the graphics card. Reseting the bios to default Installing again without rebooting after error. using cmd to select the right partition

Sep 7, 2012First off this is a newly built computer, all fresh components. aftercleaning/activating the hdd via shift +f10 at Windows 7 setup,(which took me a day to figure out) i was very excited to see my hdd available for Windows 7 installation. as i proceed windows does its thing, after installing its time for the first restart. it restarts right back to the initial windows 7 setup ive done a lot of research, and majority of the problems seem to be the boot priority in bios. so i made sure that it was usb-hdd, then hard drive. (Windows 7 on flash drive for me, no dvd burner available). still the same thing, right back to initial setup. i tried maybe to remove the flash drive during the 10 second countdown to restart, but when it restarts, the windows splash screen comes up and then blue screens and restarts real quick. cant see what the error is on bsodthere have been a couple different start up issues, "windows did not start properly" "select version of windows to start from" (or something to that effect.) but its all the same outcome. windows 7 just wont finish installation

Jan 30, 2012I'm working on a re-install of all components following a complete corruption of the boot sector on my drive which could not be fixed with repairs. The last time I installed everything fresh, I had no issues. Between then and now, there have been no hardware changes on my system, but now I am having issues installing the IDT Codecs. I keep getting an error along the following lines: Quote: ExitError: Error=Device Object not present, restart the system and run setup again. Running under compatibility mode, and running drivers from both the motherboard CD and the manufacturer website both have the same effect. The CD, when booted, says "This OS not support!" and only contains 32-bit vista codecs. ECS' website download indicates the IDT drivers as being compatible with Windows 7. Both do not work. It is almost as if the hardware "disappeared," despite the fact that I was using the drivers quite successfully till just 2 days ago, when the boot sector went kaput.
Windows has installed its own default set, which do nothing to power the 8mm jacks which I use with my speakers, but instead put sound through the HDMI, which is useless because I use a dedicated graphics card. I have tried uninstalling this codec and re-installing IDT, to no effect. Windows replaces with its own default codec.I have referenced this thread here, but offered solutions do not seem to work for me: Intel IDT Audio Driver will not install

I keep a number of computers up to date, including various 3rd-party programs (i.e. java, flash, etc), and I currently manually remotely connect to each computer and install the updates to the programs from a network share, then run Windows update, select all the critical updates (as well as all the applicable optional updates), then disconnect and move on to the next one. Needless to say, time quickly adds up.
