Windows Mobile Device Center doesn't work with Outlook 2010 if installed as 64 bit. Microsoft says to "fix" this by uninstalling Office 2010 and installing the 32 bit version!My question is are there any 3rd-party sync programs that will work with Windows 7 64 bit and Microsoft Office Outlook 64 bit and Windows Mobile 6.5 devices? I don't need to sync email but I do need to sync calendar, contacts, and tasks. And yes, I am aware that the iphone will sync with it! Silly Microsoft. View 10 Replies View RelatedI have Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit, and never had any problem installing 64-bit programs.
Now, when a try to install any 64-bit programs it shows a message of incompatible version of the program with the running Windows, but my Windows 7 is 64 bits.
My computer got the BootMGR is missing problem, which I have had in the past which is not that big. I insert the Windows 7 64 Ultimate disk it starts up everything fine, press repair my computer and it finds the installation. But when I press on it and next it has an error pop up saying "This version of system recovery options is not conpattble with the version of windows you are trying to repair. Try using a recovery disc that i compatible with this version of Windows." If I dont select anything but press next it allows me to look at the screen Im supposed to, but if I go to command prompt or click autmatically repair nothing will be saved or changed. This is the same disc I installed Windows with and repaired it several times. But I did have to reset BIOS earlier so this may have affected something.

I want to upgrade to Windows 7 64-bit. I know that my CPU is in the X86 family. As with that, I will not be able to run the 64-bit version of Windows 7. But according to spec of the CPU, it says it has 64-bit support.

I am currently running on windows Vista at 32bit
Both in window properties and task manager, system is displaying 2.73gb, although i have 4gb installed. Bios shows all memory working in dual channel mode, and CPUZ displays all 4 sticks present. I had this problem when i was on 32bit.
The OS is a clean install, not upgrade. Version is Ultimate 64bit , SP1. Using andAMD 4400+ @ stock 2.20GHz.

By downloading the win 7 upgrade advisor they said my computer is ready for upgrade but my biggest concern is that my VGA(winfast gtx 280) doesn't seem to have windows 7 driver and i lost the cd also(but it's downloadable). The easy transfer from microsoft is also my concern because my computer is infected with a bunch of viruses, and i definitely don't want to bring them with me.

I just upgraded my cpu,mobo,ram and HDD recently and I am having some issues. I have the Phenom ll 3.2ghz 1090T amd cpu with the ASRock 970 Extreme 3 mobo with 2x4gb Corsair Vengeance ram. My problem is that when I try to use my ram, my pc freezes on the Starting windows screen while the bubbles are coming together to make the microsoft logo. I am using my old ram that is a 2gb 1333 ram. I have another stick of the same ram but I am unable to use that as well. My OS has all its updates and I am completely stuck right now and a lil frustrated. I have consulted many people and nothing has worked.

The modem is a c net 56k v92 modem and the device manager says its working properly.I did initially try to install an old Duxburry Modem but it did not have the correcr drivers so took the card out and put the new cnet internal modem in.I do notice e that there is no audible dialing to be heard when I say send the fax. My old machine had a very distinct audio of the dialing out.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI can't pass through the windows screen when I boot my Laptop ( boot -> windows screen -> (after like 15 mins) -> return to booting (automatic) -> infinite).... and I'd love to put my spec and info for my laptop but I can't. I haven't used my laptop for like a week.Here's the things that I tried:First, I tried this "recovery mode". But every time I try, only thing I see is this blue back ground ( not the blue screen of death). I don't see any window or message, just a cursor and this blue background. Funny thing is I can still move my cursor. ( One time I just decided to wait till the window appears, exactly for like 11 hours, no window appeared.)Next, I tried the safe mode ; all 3 safe mode options (network, without network, just safe mode, I'm not sure if I'm right but it goes like that). With the safe mode, I can pass through the windows screen, but that's it. Only thing I see is the black safe mode background ( the back ground with words in each 4 corner, and I think one in the middle). Same thing with the Recovery mode, nothing appears even after waiting for ridiculously long period; only the black back ground.After that I tried every other options in the advanced booting options ( I don't know the exact name).But all of them showed similar or same results as other 2 steps that I listed above. I also tried the reboot disk from windows 7. I used my friend's PC to make one. Showed same results as " recovery mode". Blue background with no window. After trying the reboot disk, I tried the official windows 7 CD. Tried the recovery option first that comes with the CD, but showed same results as "recovery mode"; Blue background. So, I tried the "Download" button. Instead of just the blue background, this time there was a sentence in the middle. It went like " preparing installation" (I used windows 7 disk from other country, so I don't know the exact sentence). I waited like 5 hours and still no progress, just blue "preparing installation" background.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI tried to uninstall IE9 several months ago because I was told it was conflicting w/ Firefox. After I uninstalled it through control panel the folder and its contents were still on the hard drive. I manually deleted everything but the IEproxy.dll. I could not remove this because it was in use by windows explorer. Now I want to re-install IE9. The install starts but then I get the message that some files were in use by WE restart the CPU to use IE9. After restart all that is in the IE folder is the EIproxy.dll and a folder called SignUp. In that folder is a couple of Icons and nothing else. I have tried installing in safe mode. I can not do a restore because I have no idea when the first change was made and I have installed far to many programs to turn back now. I have tried FixIt which does not help. Is there a way to disable the IEproxy so that the IE install can proceed.

I'm trying to do a clean install of windows 7 and it installs all the way up to 90% and then just stops. its a copied CD the windows 32bit version installs fine but the 64 bit just wont go any further.

I intend to therefore re-install with 64-bit to take full advantage.I was thinking the best way to do this would be to use the file and settings transfer wizard to backup the existing accounts and data, re-installing with 64-bit, and then using the wizard to set up the accounts again.I also want to have the system set up to store user data on the standard HDD and have the OS installed on the SSD. What I am unsure of, is whether the file and settings transfer wizard will play nicely if I manually relocate the user profiles.

After a while I realized I needed some of the added features of the Pro version, so I used Windows anytime upgrade to Windows 7 Professional 64-bit. It has been a little while now, and I'm needing to do a re-install (without going into too much depth) due to some software compatibility issues I am having. The trouble is I don't know where to obtain my product key for the upgrade, and I'm concerned if I attempt a reinstall I'll be left with an OS that can't be activated. Also since I did the anytime upgrade, I did not receive an installation DVD.. I do have another Pro version installation DVD I purchased for a separate license (that should work, right?).
