trying to format my computer,but each time i try to put windows 7 on my dell inspiron 350.i must have about 3 different windows7 on my computer now and its slowing it down.what can i do to make it run faster.
View 3 RepliesThere seems to be a bug in Windows 7 (as well as 8, from what I'm told) which causes the long date to be displayed with the day of the week all in lower case, such as "monday". I don't know what a "monday" is, the word does not exist either in my English dictionary or in my annotations of the grammar lessons I took back in primary school, as a child.How can I fix this bug so that days of the week are displayed in their grammatically correct and proper form, such as "Monday" (the first letter being capitalized) ?
View 5 Replies View RelatedSo when I came back from class today, my computer was off and so I turned it on. It never got passed what seems to be the BIOS screen (I don't actually know what it is, but that's what I think it is).
I have a Predator G Series G5900, with no modifications. Attached is the photo of the screen I have when I turn on the computer.
What I have tried:
- Unplug every USB device and take off the power supply. Hold the power button for 30 seconds. Reboot.
Recently i have been having trouble getting my Dell Studio 1747 laptop to hibernate or sleep. When i go to start and hit either sleep or hibernate, the screen shuts off but the computer never fully goes off. The fans continue to run and the usb power lights are still on. It will stay like this for hours. I have let it go all night before and the only way to shut it off is to hold the power button and do a force restart. I have had this problem before. After a different discussion post we determined it was a power settings problem and after I set hard disks no not shut off the problem was solved. I had to reinstall my OS and when i put the same power settings back, the problem continued to happen. But i still think it may be a power setting. I have all of the current drivers installed and my computer is free of any viruses. Im running Windows 7 Pro x64 but it was also a problem with home edition.

And what I should do is to turn it on and off 3 times, and so it starts normally (to resume windMore notes: at first boot screen (where the hp logo is) , at the bottom right of it, there's usually a "Press esc for startup options" text, that doesn't appear by the 3 first boot ups tries.

View 1 Replies View RelatedAbout last year my computer started to crash, when playing games. However the crashes were not frequent, rare cases. I didn't bother with it but about 4 months ago, it started to have exe crashes and computer restarts ever so often, maybe an hour or 2 before crashing. I started to look into it, updated my graphics driver, lower the settings on the games, scanned for viruses. Nothing worked, then I downloaded Malware bytes and it detected svchost as a threat. The file is in Windows, instead of Windows\system32. I couldn't really remove this and I got frustrated by nothing fixing this problem so I decided to wipe my computer clean.
When I got back on the crashes continued and not only that, the svchost is still in the Windows folder. And today my computer detected, Trojan: DOS /Alureon, I don't know if that has to do with in relation to the svchost or if my problem is entirely something different. But high memory type of games such as APB reloaded, or the Secret World, cause my computer to crash almost every 5-10 minutes.
Recently(just right now to tell the truth ) i've formated my pc...I had windows 7,i have now win 7 .I forced to do this because of the blue screen of death... .Everything works fine!the only problem is thas after format i can't find the nvidia drivers and more...I made my pc on my own it is not a special model...Is there any program can do this job for me?or i have to go deeeper?i don't have the cases and the cd's of the graphics cards e.c.t

My concern is that Kaspersky Internet Security 2012 (KIS) had corrupted data bases and after removal and reinstallation did not perform well. View 1 Replies View RelatedI built a website using MS Publisher 2007. Im using Filezilla to upload changes to the site. Everything works great. Except: When I use a computer which runs on Vista, and I upload the changes, all the changes are good on IE, Firefox and Chrome.
However (and heres the very strange part), when I upload the changes on a computer running Windows 7, the changes are all good on Firefox and Chrome but on IE, the menu bar down the left side doesnt show up which, of course, means that anyone viewing the site on IE cant go to other pages. Ive tried to upload the changes using another computer running Windows 7 to be sure it wasnt just my computer and the same thing happened.
I recently built a new computer using the Asus P67 Sabertooth Motherboard.I am using a Crucial SSD drive as my boot drive. This is my problem.If the computer ever goes into sleep the monitor will not wake up when moving the mouse and the computer has to be hard shut down in order to get it to get the screen to come on. The computer sounds as though its waking up just no video at all.The second thing is every couple of weeks my computer will start to boot up and then after the Bios screens it will sit at a black screen with a blinking cursor.I will restart and go into the bios and select boot menu and select the Crucial C300 SSD and it will say its resuming windows. But it will never boot correctly again.I will always have to boot this way.I am wondering if the SSD is bad.
