I have been looking and cant find any drivers for windows seven to run the ethernet or wireless cards in a IBM thinkpad r51 new to drivers and stuff never really had to deal with them
I recently turned my usb into bootable usb in order to run chrome os,everything was ok untill i needed my usb to transfer some files so when i plugged it in while running windows 7 a box popped up to format it i clicked ok,then i noticed the usb from 8 giga showed up as 1 giga in my computer.I opened disk management and saw that it was cutted down in many partitions, i deleted some of them so i would expand it in one partition,at that point my trouble began, the expand option was greyed out,i tried diskpart and delete the partitions there. After that the drive lost its assign letter and showed up as one partition in disk management but in my computer it was invisible,i tried other guides that use diskpart and i download some programs to fix this with no luck.when i tried to format or assign letter from disk management i get this message "the system cannot find the file specified usb format".I tried to plug the usb in my roomates laptop with the same resaults so i dont think its my drivers or laptop problem.
I'll warn up front that this is a duplicate of another forum entry, but although that other entry is now closed, the solution was never postedI recently turned my 8GB Sandisk usb into bootable usb in order to run chrome os,everything was ok untill i needed my usb to transfer some files so when i plugged it in while running windows 7 a box popped up to format it i clicked ok,then i noticed the usb from 8 GB showed up as 1 GB in my computer.I opened disk management and saw that it was cut into many partitions, i deleted some of them so i would expand it in one partition,at that point my trouble began, the expand option was greyed out,i tried diskpart and delete the partitions there. After that the drive lost its assign letter and showed up as one partition in disk management but in my computer it was invisible,i tried other guides that use diskpart.when i try to format or assign letter from disk management i get this message "the system cannot find the file specified usb format".

About last year my computer started to crash, when playing games. However the crashes were not frequent, rare cases. I didn't bother with it but about 4 months ago, it started to have exe crashes and computer restarts ever so often, maybe an hour or 2 before crashing. I started to look into it, updated my graphics driver, lower the settings on the games, scanned for viruses. Nothing worked, then I downloaded Malware bytes and it detected svchost as a threat. The file is in Windows, instead of Windows\system32. I couldn't really remove this and I got frustrated by nothing fixing this problem so I decided to wipe my computer clean.
When I got back on the crashes continued and not only that, the svchost is still in the Windows folder. And today my computer detected, Trojan: DOS /Alureon, I don't know if that has to do with in relation to the svchost or if my problem is entirely something different. But high memory type of games such as APB reloaded, or the Secret World, cause my computer to crash almost every 5-10 minutes.
I have been searching for the last week for two drivers that are missing in device manager.Marvell 91xx Config ATA device + USB controller Both are under "other devices" in device manager I need the usb ports to be working obviously. right now i can plug a usb key into my monitor and use it but when i plug in my zune hd or droid x is charges them but doesn't show any connection on the device or computer. When i plug either device into the tower it shuts the device down and i have to restart. Device manager can't find the drivers and i dont really know where else to look. I have googled every variation of driver downloads and nothing has worked when i installed them through device manager.
Anyway heres my rig:

If I use a commercial software like Drive Scrubber to clean my HD, will a Win 7 Upgrade Discboot ? I want to eliminate any possible virus/malware. Is there any advantage to using commercial software to format, or is the reinstall format listed in the tutorials as effective? My concern is that Kaspersky Internet Security 2012 (KIS) had corrupted data bases and after removal and reinstallation did not perform well. I could not download anything, e.g. CCleaner and received Certificate Error questions on certain websites. Also, I would like a fresh registry to insure previous programs like Chrome, Firefox, KIS, remnants are eliminated.
Can I format a Hard Drive with Windows 7 using a 2000 format disk. If so, what are the prompts i see and action on boot-up before I use the format C. Done it before but just forgot
I m using hp envy dv4-5205tx running windows 8(came with it when i bought the laptop)I m having trouble running games in windows 8 and prefer running windows 7..So, before doing anything, i tried to find all the drivers needed for my laptop in the official hp site, and I saw that only drivers for windows 8 available for my model since its a new model.I tried to find the drivers manually, but scared that it might be incompatible with my laptop model. But i seriously want to reformat to windows 7.

I can't find my MoBo model. I used everest but it says unknown motherboard. My hard drive is a Seagate Momentus St9500420as.

i have got a Realfine LTD DVB-T Stick, working perfectly on WindowsXP. But Windows 7 doesn't find any drivers. On Windows XP the driver's name wosIntel CE9500 DVB-T Receiver
or CE6230 Standalone Driver (BDA). Both drivers worked.
Someone has a defaultdriver for dvb-t sticks for windows 7 64 bit?
I have a new Windows 7 Pro 64, and Windows detects a Samsung 4828FN 3in1 printer and a Canon LIDE 80 scanner in "Devices & Printers" but appears to be unable to find drivers. I downloaded & installed Win 7 drivers from both mfg sites, but neither appears in their appropriate windows when called up. The scanner on the printer works and saves to files, so I know the USB connections are working. Canon Toolbox Settings cannot detect.
Of course the HP 1000 printer has no Win 7 drivers to download, so that one does not work either,
Also, when I try and select new printers from a "Print" drop-down menu, I get a message "The Active Directory Domain Sevices is Currently Unavailable"
