View 1 Replies View RelatedThe issue here is all my programs would freeze and I was like wth is going on? So after it happened a couple of times, I finally figured out what was going on. The system was using cpu power ranging from 20 to 50 percent and my ram was using roughly 20 to 32 percent. The weird thing about this is my computer cpu usually is around 2-5 percent and ram is around 5-12 percent when doing normal day activities.I have a vortex 120 gb and I have it updated to the latest software. My hypothesis is that there is a system defragging working in the background because I see my hard drive space going up and down. It'll go down 20gb and go back up. Sometimes goes down a lot sometimes not that much.I have three programs and I've tried closing all three.
Bitdefender-no auto defrag Iobit advance system care- I turned auto defrag off but even it the settings it's already checkmark not to defrag ssd tuneuputilites- turned off auto defrag also and same thing as earlier, there's already a checkmark to not defrag ssd
edit(forgot to mention that I turned system auto defrag off also)I ran antivirus scan and malware scan already with no luck.So here's where the big mystery comes into play. Even though there is cpu usage and ram usage when I go to windows task manager, I can't find anything that shows it's using ram and cpu even though it is.Very annoying with everything freezing. Even if I restart it still continues.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI was wondering where nvidia's pre release driver gets stored on the computer so that I don't have to re-download every time!
I want to copy them to my Setups folder, so that I can re use them.

Also, why do I get a WDDM v1.0 driver and not a v1.1?
So I just upgraded from a GTX 560 TI to a GTX 670 and now my computer can't detect my second monitor. My main monitor is plugged in via DVI while my second computer is plugged in via HDMI. I've been on nvidia control panel and tried finding my second monitor there on the "multiple monitors" section, no second monitor there either.

It should pick up the desktop pc and also the NAS i have attached to the router as well. I can map a drive to the NAS but cannot see it in the network view. I can also open the web based browser to the NAS and the router.
As always it was working yesterday,,,any ideas?
I have windows 7 professional 64 bit on a desktop and 32bit on a laptop.
Both can access the internet and ping the router.
I have turned on network discovery and set both networks to home with no homegroup and both using 40/56 bit encryption.
I can't ping or find the other computer over a wireless network
Any ideas?
I have a home network set up on my desktop running Windows 7. Homegroup is NOT activated. My laptop has INTERNET access from the wireless card to the router attached to the desktop, but I can't get the laptop to "recognize" the desktop computer. When I type in computer name, it tells me that it can't locate that computer.
So I can't print from my laptop, because the printer is attached to the desktop. I've tried everything I can think of -- renaming networks, etc. -- nothing has worked. The weird thing is that the laptop could find the printer last week, and I don't remember changing anything. Advice???
after a recent Windows 7 update all of a sudden my notebook cannot find my scanner. it prints fine thru same machine, but will not recognize scan function - says WAI driver missing. I never deleted any drivers. I have fixed it with a system restore, but it coninually updates and sys rest is extreme remedy that causes other problems.
