I am looking to delete the information from when I save a picture from the net. Like when you click picture save as and it opens a new box and you type in the new file name...The file name is what i'm trying to delete. I tried cleaning the browser and used ccleaner but didn't help.
View 8 RepliesI just updated my windows. Unfortunately, when I did that, something strange happened. Now I cannot right click or delete icons on my desktop. When I right click on an icon on the desktop, I have less choices than normal (cannot rename, deletesee properties, ect). I cannot see anything in my control panel, my computer folder shows up, however there are no words, just pictures.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI am the administrator (and only user) on my new Windows 7 laptop, so I have moved my library folders (picture, music and documents) from smaller c: partition to large D: partition, I have moved all my pictures from my backup USB drive to my library, then I installed Canon DPP editing software (similar to photoshop), now the funny part starts, when I edit a picture and trying to save the new edited picture to the same folder where the original picture resides (My Pictures/Vacation) im getting a message that I'm not authorized to save it there and need to selet another location !!! WHY ? I'm the administrator...Can anyone shed some light on this.

It takes so long to delete that much info, even if I were to bypass the recycling bin. Isn't there a fast way? A quick format is very quick, but deletes everything.
View 3 Replies View RelatedPrevious versions of Windows had a "sticky" default file "save as" subdirectory. e.g. when saving a group of photos from an email to a particular subdirectory you only had to point to that subdir in the first save. subsequent saves would by default go to that same subdir. In Win 7, everytime I do a "save as" for a picture (jpg, bmp, etc.) the default subdir is the PICTURE LIBRARY subdir. Is there a way to make Win7 remember the last subdir saved to so that you don't have to drill down through multiple subdir to get to the last subdir you accessed?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have Windows 7 64bit and downloaded some updates today and Windows 7 SP3. Since then I can't open the "My Documents" folder I had on my Desktop. I don't get any messages. It just won't open. Also on my taskbar I have a shortcut that shows my Libraries. I can access the Music and Video Libraries when this opens. But not the Documents or Photos one's. I get a click sound, but they won't open. I also can't save any picture project am I am working on in the photo's library. It just says I can't save there.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI changed via the dialog the TEXT SIZE via the screen resolution in the control panel to CUSTOM SIZE.With one of the newer "Cinema" or Very Wide screen (1680 X 900) displays after I'd increased the text size to over 160 % I didn't get the possibility to SAVE any documents any more via the SAVE AS button. The SAVE dialog would appear but the SAVE button was missing.The effect was noticed in Office 2007 (all programs) Notepad etc etc.Seems to be a Windows fault as this should not be allowed to happen.on more traditional "Squarer" type monitors -- no problem.

It makes no sense to default to a single folder and have to browse through to the desired folder for every single download, so I assume there has to be an option somewhere.

I just hate to have to spend another 100 dollars for one but I know I have to. Any ways to get one cheaper? keep in mind that it is a gamer, so I will need to get a recent one. View 8 Replies View RelatedI ripped my personal CD collection to .WAV as I have the space and thought it was best quality. I used WMP. Everything ripped fine for a while, the first song of each album kept 'losing' its track information. I would use the Find Album Info feature of WMP to fix this. Track info currently displays perfect in Windows Media Player Library or when browing using Windows Media Center. However, if I view the files in Windows Explorer, or use another program like Winamp to play the files (which i generally prefer), the first track of all my ripped CDs in WAV format has no track information, Unknown Album, title, even tho' it displays fine in WMP Library. I cannot EDIT the track in Windows Explorer, and I can't find a track editor freeware that supports .WAV.
