I have tried the drivers and firmware from here without any success. RENESAS/NEC Drivers & Firmwares Perhaps I am installing the wrong drivers? No clue.. i'm not the best with computers so that's why I cam here.
Also in the end my goal will be to run and use this product which needs to be ran from USB 3.0

Here's a good video tutorial to setup the drivers but mine doesnt allow me to open the host controller.. it just says Host Controller not found..
USB 3.0 Host Controller Not Found
Sep 15, 2011Yesterday, my usb 3.0 host controller seems to have stopped working. I have tried enabling/disabling controller from BIOS, reinstalling drivers, finding different drivers, and reinstalling my mobo CD, but to no avail. (Yes, i already tried searching).It does not show up in windows device manager at all, but when i plug my mouse into the ports, the LEDs light up, but the system does not detect it (nothing happens, no chime or anything).

Nov 24, 2012I'm also running Windows 7, 64 bit. I am unable to update or download any software from websites. I am however able to download torrents! I just ran avast and have run malwarebytes and AVG and all have reported and removed affected files. But I still have the same problem. For example, I try to download the new adobe flash from the adobe site, I then hit run when prompted. It then gets stuck at retrieving the file until the error appears: "Installation encountered errors Actionlist not found".
I try to update malwarebyes and receive: "An error has occurred. Please report this issue to our support team (include the content of all error message(s) and code(s) in your submission). PROGRAM_ERROR_UPDATING (0,0, Host not found).
Windows 7 Clients Intermittently Unable To Resolve Host Name Of Server
Feb 20, 2012We have 2 x Server 2008 R2 domain controllers and 120+ Windows 7 x64 clients. We have a print server which runs Server 2008 R2.We have several other servers which also run Server 2008 R2. An issue occurs intermittently and apparently at random, whereby a client will be unable to resolve the host/computer name of the print server. When the issue occurs, we have confirmed the following: - The client has a valid IP address.The client DNS server addresses are correct. - The client can ping the IP address of the print server. - The client can resolve the IP address of the print server by using nslookup and the server�s FQDN. - The client cannot resolve the IP address of the print server by using nslookup and the host/computer name of the print server.The issue can occur regardless of which domain controller the client used to log on. - When the output of ipconfig /display is printed to a text file, many of the other servers in our domain are present in the DNS cache but the print server is not. After the ipconfig /flushdns command is executed, the client can resolve the host/computer name of the print server immediately.

Apr 13, 2011My computer is running a fresh installed Windows 7 premium 64-bit OS, I use a Realtek RTL8191SU Wireless LAN 802.11n USB 2.0 Network Adapter to connect to the internet. The packaging and product description states it's Windows 7 compatible, but in the last 1 1/2 weeks I've been plagued with problems relating to network connectivity and internet. My current dilemma is that the networking center shows I'm connected to the internet but when I try to load a page the web browser displays "Server not Found." Also when I try to use an internet based program such an MMO it also gives the error message Server not Found also.( Update ) In addiction, just it showed "No internet access", I troubleshot the problem and windows found no solution. Then the network center showed I had no network connections. 4 mins later it shows I'm connected to the internet again. The "Server not Found" error still persists.

Mar 22, 2012I randomly receive "server not found" while browsing on IE, Firefox, or chrome. A refresh or 5 usually does the trick. Even when that works most of the time the webpages arent fully displayed . Sometimes I'll have to reset the router and that is only a temporary fix. I've called Belkin, Geek squad ETC. exercised my options.
Laptop is 2 mos old, (wifi). my desktop(wired) doesn't seem to have these issues.My iPhone 4 when using the wifi has the same random" server not found" issues.

Jul 1, 2011I have a 11.04 ubuntu samba share that is serving files to my network (though I don't really think this is relevant). I have 2 Windows 7 64bit machines (1 laptop/1desktop) that can access these files fine, however I have 1 Windows 7 32bit that is unable to access the files. (I even think it may have been able to before.)When I browse the network and go to SERVER it says:
"Windows cannot access \SERVER.... the network path was not found"
HOWEVER when I navigate to \192.168.1.151 with explorer it works fine. What I have tried:
* I have removed all wireless networks and reauthenticated.
* I have set all network configs to the most open possible: network browsing: ON, sharing: ON, homegroup: Off and password authenticate.
* Disabled Norton Internet Security firewall (also on the other two computers)
Again this server is perfectly accessible from all other computers (even a third laptop come to think of it), so it must be something stupid with this one laptop.

Oct 16, 2009Have been a LONG LONG user of Linux as a server (hosting VM's XP / Windows 7 mix) and file / print sharing.
I used to avoid MS like the plague as far as SERVER environments are concerned - probably because my first experince was Windows NT (Windows NeanderThal or Windows No Thanks) which was SO HORRIBLE that it put me off Windows servers for ages.
(Note I'm using a server in a HOME environment where we have around 8 machines (most of which are actually mine for testing -- not a corporate environment which has other considerations).
The problem now with the latest Linux distros that they are trying to be "A Better Windows than Windows". You can of course customize them but I haven't got the time or patience to do this any more. To select what packages to install / leave out now is a 100% pain and if you do it wrong the chances are the system will give errors.
I've looked at the new SUSE 11.2 -- slick and polished - bit I don't NEED "an alternative Windows".
I've just been looking at Windows Server 2008 R2 (got it from Technet) and I'm REALLY IMPRESSED with it so far. I've installed the STANDARD version - you don't need datacenter or Enterprise version for a home server.
It runs vmware server on it just fine (although I might go the whole hog and use the Hyper-V virtualisation -- need to do a bit more research).
I'm quite happy letting MS do the updates than having to mess around with Kernel compiles etc.
Incidentally as a HOME server there are some considerations that you might want to do to make it more like a Desktop OS than a pure server for example add multi-media to it.
This guy does a great job at this .

Dec 3, 2011I config my host file to go facebook (my country prevent me to go there ) and It work probably to one day... I cannot go to facebook, and I checked my host file again. It's still no change from that time, but there is a small thing: host file now has a key icon at left-bottom. (That I'm sure it doesn't appear before).

I am not getting in to mac spoofing here; that is not my intention. I simply generally do not like displaying more information than I must.
When dealing with public access routers (often that have no security and also default admin passwords) I would rather not display such information.
Using ubuntu, it was simple enough to not publish my host name (the mac address is of course still logged).

Apr 18, 2011I have done as you instructed. The WinXP VPC I set up can see the internet but for some reason it does not see the host Windows 7 machine. When I ping the host from the VPC I get no response. I can ping the VPC from the host machine. I intend to run the ArcInfo license of ArcGIS Desktop on the VPC. That license requires communication with a license server. The license server is running on my host machine. If I can't ping the host then I won't be able to use the license server.
I have done this on another machine with WinXP as both the host machine and the VPC and the VPC can see the host via ping.
I've turned off all the firewalls but no joy.

A more complete list of fix attempts and diagnostic clues will follow.I have found a temporary fix for my problem - namely, when I uninstall my NIC drivers, reboot, and allow Windows 7 to reinstall them, host name resolution seems to work, and browsing, software updates, and so on function normally.
