Computer Freezes Playing Football Manager 2012, Error 0x00000124
Apr 27, 2012Twice in the last week the computer has locked up and required me to reset it whilst playing Football Manager 2012. There is actually no BSoD shown the game just freezes up completely until I press the reset button. I can't remember any BSoD before when using Windows 7.Most of the computer is 3-4 years old, and I can't remember when I installed Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit on it probably over 18 months ago when I got a new Graphics Card. The only new hardware in the last few months is a new Razer mouse to replace a faulty ROCCAT mouse, nothing else has changed. Temperatures don't seem to be a big problem and Memtest didn't find any problems, but I haven't had time to run Memtest for more then 3 passes or get inside the case to look at the hardware.

Jan 8, 2012I have had four BSODs recently, two with error code 0xA and the two older crash dumps occurred on system sleep/resume. I do not know much about what caused the first two, they seemed to happen when I put my laptop to sleep with very low battery but haven't happened since because I've been careful to watch the battery a bit better. The third occurred while streaming a .mkv file to my PS3 with PS3 Media Server. It was about an hour into streaming when the BSOD occurred. My video card drivers were old at the time, so I upgraded them trying to fix it but obviously I haven't fixed it yet.
I also ran Memtest86+ which could find no memory errors. The most recent BSOD occurred while I was transferring some files with Filezilla. I also had Chrome open with a few tabs, but the laptop was not excessively hot or anything. The transfer had been running for about 10 minutes when the crash happened. I have attached the results of running the jcgriff2 BSOD Dump & System File collection app and system health report. More than anything, I'm worried about the most recent 2 BSODs.
The system is:
Windows 7 Professional x64
MSDNAA edition
Original OS installed was Windows Vista
Windows 7 was installed ~1.5-2 years ago

Sep 11, 2012It can be any game from something like Minecraft to Battlefield 3 which causes problems for me. The first conclusion I could make was that there may be a problem with my Video card as playing high end games like BF3 can be very demanding on the average computer. I have updated drivers and tried to fix it to no end. These BSODs seem to happen at least 1-3 times a day. The crash dumps can happen both when starting up the game or while I am playing it. I don't know whether any of this information is useful or whether it is even related to what can be seen by analysing the files from sf-diagnostic. All the files needed should be attached.

Sep 21, 2012Every time I try to log into WoW (Initial login, when game first loads into the server) My computer just freezes with the display frozen. I can get into the game for half a second before it freezes. I usually have to manually restart. I first started noticing this issue about a week ago when I was playing and I encountered the kernel power event 41 issue. It was fine at first because it would only happen when I would play Blacklight (Free fps). As the days went on I decided to reformat my PC because the HDD I was using before crash and had a boot sector which wouldn't let me boot up anymore. I switched out that HDD eventually but this is where things get weird..
As that HDD wasn't booting up it got to the point where my computer would have power but the motherboard wouldn't load and I couldn't even get my display to work on my monitor. I did some research and I came across a solution that had me run the golden plates on each of my memory sticks against a pencil eraser to get rid of the static I suppose.. Well that turned out to work because I was finally able to get to the windows logo screen but then it would shutdown and restart during that screen.
It's the only thing I can think of because I just reformatted a new HDD completely separate from the one that had the bad boot sector.. In any case I've uploaded my zip file. You guys may notice there's no DMP file.. Well I followed the instructions on the forum post and when my computer crash and I manually restarted it, when I got back into windows and ran the SF diagnostic tool.. It was able to find everything but any DMP files. When I tried it said "No dump files found"..

Its auto managed by windows also. while running wow im looking at task manager and my usage from memory keeps going up..steadily climbing. It shows i have in task manager:physical memory [CODE]I only have wow running in the backround..so this is really agravating me because i think it will happen again and im not sure if my page file is set up wrong or not..any ideas please? does wow require a page file to be set? Aug 1, 2009How do i figure out what driver or even component windows wants software for when in the device manager under other devices it lists an unknown device and windows update cannot find anything.
Oh and is it appropriate for me to use this topic to ask another question regarding explorer.exe as while i am inside a folder i delete (by choosing delete from the context menu in the tree view) while inside that folder on this particular laptop PC explorer. always crashes, collect information, sends it and restarts explorer. I have not experienced this problem on any other pc running any version of windows 7, oh and the same happened with build 7264 x32 and the current install of build 7600 x64.
