Dell Latitude D630 - It Goes To The "blue Screen" And "crash Dumps"
Dec 28, 2012
I have a Dell Latitude D630. It goes to the "blue screen" and "crash dumps", every day and sometimes several times a day. What is causing this? The Operating system is Windows 7. Do I just buy a new laptop or what?
I recently installed Windows 7 x64 onto my Dell Latitude D630 and found that the scrolling with the touchpad does not work at all. I have already downloaded and installed the Synaptics driver and nothing happened. I also downloaded R165804.exe directly from Dell's site and it came up with an error saying that 'the software does not work on your operating system. Click OK to exit.'
I am not getting any sound out of my speakers that are connected to the docking station. All the sound comes out through the built in speakers. I check playback devices and "Speakers" is listed with nothing to configure.
I have a dell latitude D630 running windows 7 and the damn thing won't vertically scroll using the touchpad. I'm confused--I've done internet searches and can't figure out if this model dell is using a synaptics or alps touchpad. Does anyone have any recommendations
Since I bought a new phitronics motherboard, a core i5 processor and 8 gigs DDR3 ram, I've had over nine thousand BSOD's, each with a different error at completely unrelated times.
I have had four BSODs recently, two with error code 0xA and the two older crash dumps occurred on system sleep/resume. I do not know much about what caused the first two, they seemed to happen when I put my laptop to sleep with very low battery but haven't happened since because I've been careful to watch the battery a bit better. The third occurred while streaming a .mkv file to my PS3 with PS3 Media Server. It was about an hour into streaming when the BSOD occurred. My video card drivers were old at the time, so I upgraded them trying to fix it but obviously I haven't fixed it yet.
I also ran Memtest86+ which could find no memory errors. The most recent BSOD occurred while I was transferring some files with Filezilla. I also had Chrome open with a few tabs, but the laptop was not excessively hot or anything. The transfer had been running for about 10 minutes when the crash happened. I have attached the results of running the jcgriff2 BSOD Dump & System File collection app and system health report. More than anything, I'm worried about the most recent 2 BSODs.
The system is: Windows 7 Professional x64 MSDNAA edition Original OS installed was Windows Vista Windows 7 was installed ~1.5-2 years ago Model: Acer Aspire 6930-6942
I dont know how long before my system will crash again. I just upgraded from 32 bit to 64 bit windows 7 a matter of hours ago, and this never happened in 32 bit (had it for 2 years)...My comp has crashed twice in last 10 minutes with the following error log that will show up when I reboot
And I was just finishing putting new stuff in my pc and I can play wow and BF3 and MW3 games from steam and origin but not Fear 3 or deus ex or some games then I get the blue screens and my computer frezzez and just restart's what can I do?
Got a new home build Core I5 3rd gen at 4.4GB 8gb RAM, 120 SSD with the OS, 2GB HDD for anything else, ATI 7970. Win 7 home 64 bit. When I play games, I can play for a while, then I get Game name has stopped working, or a BSOD?
When booting my Dell Latitude E6410, there is a really loud noise coming from the left side of the computer (what i think is the fan?). It's also very hot and the login screen freezes and I am unable to login)I am however able to login in safe mode no problem and there is no noise or excess heat.I thought that maybe the problem was related to my use of the Anti-Virus program Avast, so I uninstalled and used their uninstall utility.I'm copying my list of installed programs below---I allready cleaned out all of the temp files and deleted anything that seemed iffy or not in use.

I'm assuming it's a BIOS driver problem, but i'll leave it up to you guys to tell me, you're the experts :P I also tried doing a system restore, but for whatever reason when I try it just says the restore is initializing and it sits on that screen and never does anything. I've left it for about an hour before and still nothing, not real sure what the problem is there either. Right now I'm running the laptop off safe mode with networking and it's working fine, hopefully it's just a driver problem I can fix.
I'm on Windows 7 32bit and let me know if you need any more information.
my Toshiba Satellite C655D wont reboot it gets to 95% and says error then a blue screen pops up and says it is crashing . Is there anything I can do to repair it . I dont have a repair disk.
I have a DELL D630 installed with Windows 7 build 7600.16385.x86fre.win7_rtm.090713-1255 The DELL specs are : T7500 2GB NVIDIA Q135M. Latest Bios A16 Ever since the fresh install Windows 7 will not restart, instead of restarting the Dell will just break to power off after the shutdown procedure. All other power settings seem just fine. Normal shutdown, Hibernate and Standby/Sleep work fine, even the CPU fan is perfectly controlled by windows. Already tried to boot in safemode, also checked the bios for power options, but there are none to control with the DELL. The DELL diagnostics is completely passed with succes. Even did a fresh install to double check.
I have a Dell D630 that has the Mobile Intel(R) 965 Express Chipset. I have XP on one and 7 on the other. With my XP I can have a screen resolution of 1440 x 900 but with 7 I only get up to 1280 X 800. Anyone know how to help? I have a intel drive already installed.
My Girl recently got a Dell Inspiron N5040, when we first turned it on, after a few mins it randomly restarted, i thought maybe its just an update (had to install loads of windows updates) however, over the past week, its being doing it every time its been turned off for a few hours... however once it restarts and comes back on, it usually is fine, It's only when leaving it a long while then turning it back on, it does the same again, and today for the first time we got a blue screen of death, which i believe may lead to some answers, here is the report:
Problem signature: Problem Event Name:BlueScreen OS Version:6.1.7601.2.1.0.768.3 Locale ID:2057
Running a Dell Inspiron Zino HD. Constantly crashes, get either a blue screen, black screen or stripes. Usually says something about a crash dump but goes blank before I can read.

I just installed Windows 7 on my Dell Latitude D505 and my screen resolution is terrible. I'm having trouble locating the right drivers on the Dell site and to tell you the truth, I don't even know what I need.
