I used the HDD from my old PC in this one, it has Windows 7 32bit installed on it.I start up the PC, everything sounds fine, I hear one beep, the BIOS screen pops up. Then, I get to the "Windows Error Recovery" screen. If I select start windows normally, I see the starting windows screen, then a blue screen pops up with the usual "problem has been detected...shut down to prevent damage" stuff. I'm assuming it's a BIOS driver problem, but i'll leave it up to you guys to tell me, you're the experts :P I also tried doing a system restore, but for whatever reason when I try it just says the restore is initializing and it sits on that screen and never does anything. I've left it for about an hour before and still nothing, not real sure what the problem is there either. Right now I'm running the laptop off safe mode with networking and it's working fine, hopefully it's just a driver problem I can fix.
I'm on Windows 7 32bit and let me know if you need any more information.
my Toshiba Satellite C655D wont reboot it gets to 95% and says error then a blue screen pops up and says it is crashing . Is there anything I can do to repair it . I dont have a repair disk.

View 1 Replies View RelatedIve had this laptop maybe 1 month it has a 1 year warrany, my issue is it seems to be blue screening non stop, generally when i open games, i was on D3/WOW when it happens the screen goes blue and says windows has experienced an unexpected error blabla.It did stop doing it for about 2 weeks however its doing it again today however now its got a different error saying DRIVERPOWR_STATE_FAILURE when i get the BSOD. i can also hear a fan in the computer maybe the gfx card?THe bug check code was 0x00000116 the first 3 times howevr now its 0x0000009f here is the BSOD from BlueScreenView:

i have owned asus gaming tier pc for 2-3 months, and this problem came up. I do not know what to do. Do i need to post some information? And some times during the crash, pc losts connection to internet. It's getting really annoying, since i'm tf2 Trader.
EDIT: Now it's doing it constantly, and after some time, mouse and keyboard wont respond.also, when the crash starts, it sounds like usb being plugged in.
I'm getting an inconsistant BSOD just after my desktop loads from a bootup. Meaning, sometimes it BSODs and sometimes not. I read the minidump everytime and it shows the same information. This is what it shows.

I have tried shutting it down, when I turn it back on it goes straight to that screen again, no startup or anything. I tried shutting off and unplugging. Turns on straight to blue intel desktop screen again. Tried shutting down, unplugging, pressing power again to make sure it's off. Same thing.
Tried CTRL ALT DELETE, no response. Tried throwing keyboard...nothing...
But why would it stay on this screen even after shut down and unplud for more then 30 seconds? More than a minute?
It is like it was never turned off, and it gives me no options to boot from my backup drive or F8. just turns on to blue intel screen? Running windows 7...
On startup, the Windows desktop shows up, but after a few seconds the screen went blue, with no text of any kind. When I turned my computer on and off manually, I get a black screen that asks me if I want to go into safe mode. It says to use the arrows keys and press enter to choose which mode to go into, but the keyboard is unresponsive at this screen.
What do I do? How do I get into safe mode? Do I need to bring my computer in to the computer repair shop?

View 6 Replies View RelatedI've recently built a new PC, it's my first build and I've managed to solve most problems that have occurred but I'm stuck on this one. It will load games fine if i load them straight from turning on the PC but if i run it for a while then load a game it resets itself, and doesn't leave and mini/memory dumps. The system runs fine normally and even with some old games but if i load a new game such as civilization 5 on steam or try running examples in UDK it resets.

At first i thought it was overheating but I've checked and the CPU and graphics card don't reach anywhere near a hot temperature before it crashes. I've also taken it to a local computer repair shop and the tests they ran all passed (i don't know what the tests they ran are but i'm going to call them tomorrow and find out / tell them it still crashes)

View 8 Replies View RelatedIt can be any game from something like Minecraft to Battlefield 3 which causes problems for me. The first conclusion I could make was that there may be a problem with my Video card as playing high end games like BF3 can be very demanding on the average computer. I have updated drivers and tried to fix it to no end. These BSODs seem to happen at least 1-3 times a day. The crash dumps can happen both when starting up the game or while I am playing it. I don't know whether any of this information is useful or whether it is even related to what can be seen by analysing the files from sf-diagnostic. All the files needed should be attached.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI bought GTA complete pack from steam from steam the other day and patiently waited for the 40gb of files to download and they all ran fine but when I play GTA IV it runs fine until I shoot someone or crash in a car.When I shoot or crash then the screen goes black, the sound loops and the only way I can do anything is if I use task manager to shut down my pc (and even then it gets to "shutting down ..." and stays there until I hold down the power button). When I turn it back on everything is fine but I don't know why it's doing it.

I've been having issues with two of my games, Hearts of Iron II and Civilization V.earts of Iron will play for a couple 'days' or a couple months before crashing. While Civ V could play for a while or crash instantly depending on what I select. I checked the Event logs for these crashes to get these[CODE]Now I've run some tests on my memory and it seems everything is physically.I ran some registry fixes that claimed to fix things, but didn't resolve anything. I uninstalled and re-installed the video driver.I've tried uninstalling and then re installing the games themselves. It should probably be noted I just recently installed a harddrive and this problem has only been since then. My current suspicion is that something is messing with my CPU usage and these two strategy games are burning through the memory for some reason
View 9 Replies View RelatedGFWL was working fine until yesterday. I went to start Batman: Arkham City and it crashed after the splash screen. I noticed that GFWL and the marketplace also would not start (splash screen, then nothing).
I tried uninstalling and reinstalling GFWL and the Marketplace, as well as the .Net framework (multiple times). I can NOT get these to work! And I have no idea what could possibly have caused this, since I didn't update any software between the time I played the game last and yesterday morning (maybe a 24 hour span).
Are there any other common fixes? These literally leave no errors and just close when trying to start, making the games that use GFWL crash on start up (just get the generic "blah has stopped working" error).
I've tried the steam user forums, XBOX forums (under the PC sections) and e-mailing microsoft, but no answers yet.
My last resort would be to find a custom installer for the game with a crack so I could possibly completely bypass GFWL.
All my old games used to run correctly(Hitman 2&3, Max Payne, Quake 2 etc). I installed AOE 3 but had to uninstall because my display is not supported. Now all my games that used to work don't run but make my system lag really bad! in the task manager the game runs as a process with a "rundll.exe" that uses 100% CPU until I close the process tree
