I get a computer crash while im playing skyrim. Its currently the only task I'v been experiencing this crash. The computer freezes, in the last frame of the game. I get a nasty sound in my headset, like a eletric interface kinda sound. The keyboard and mouse gets disabled (no lights or response)
I have a whole new computer, with new parts. running windows 7 professional 64bit
I'm having a really bothersome problem here, my computer is shutting down sometimes or either freezing and making weirds noises where i can't move even the mouse and i need to hard boot.
This freezes only happens when i turn on the computer for the firsts time of the day, it happens like 5-10 times and then he starts working correctly for the rest of the day, i don't have a clue what is happening, do i need to format my computer?
I experience intermittent black screen (loss of screen picture) and accompanied by a loud humming sound in my LCD screen when playing with Plants versus Zombies.
This happens even when i am even running the game using XP Mode.
I have to turn off the PC power-off.
Reboot and in Safe Mode
Then shut down my PC
Warm start again the PC.
This is kinda irratting and frustrating with the game and could damage my PC?
my system crashed yesterday due to gpu overheating. now it boots till windows animated logo but at the point right when welcome screen usually comes there is nothing now but a moveable mouse cursor on a completelly black background.now i have following stuff to get back to normal: two very old restore points and a recently created macrium reflect system image but no repair disc. i will be very happy, if there is a way to use the image since i know that some of you prefer macrium reflect insted of microsofts system image solution. unfurtuntelly my restauration points are way to old (april 2011).

keeps on happening every time i play skyrim or any other game, i re-installed the hardware drivers for my graphics card but it still seems to happen?
I am by no means a computer expert so please bear with me here. I recently purchased all the necessary parts for my new computer and had it built by a friend who has done various builds for me in the past. I have been getting frequent BSODs. At first I thought it was related entirely to Skyrim, but I have also had a BSOD while burning a DVD and at idle. My system specs are as follows:

It is a retail version of Windows and everything is brand new.I have done the following: Malware test using Malwarebyte's Anti-Malware and have found nothing.Uniblue DriverScanner is showing all drivers up to date.I ran Prime95 and had no issues (temps stayed normal)I ran FurMarks and had no issues (again normal temps)I ran MemTest and the RAM passed without issue.I used HD Tune on the SSD and there also did not appear to be any problems.I have disabled Avira AV and still have the BSOD I updated the firmware on my SSD.I updated by bios I have installed, uninstalled, and reinstalled by GFX drivers.Nothing appears to be working and I would really like to get this issue resolved as soon as possible.Fortunately, since I just bought the parts at a local computer store I can return them for a direct swap if one of the parts is the issue. I have attached the memory dumps.
Game worked fine for the beta and even for a week or two after launch. Randomly (not on a patch day), the game started crashing. Now it crashes after 2 or 3 minutes in the game almost every time. I've followed all the regular troubleshooting steps (see Battle.net thread here). At first I didn't see any error logs, but the Action Center came up today with a bunch of errors looking like this. I included the recommended error files, the dump files from the error in the above screenshot, and the perfmon report.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI installed Windows 7 RC a few days ago and I am very happy with it except for one thing, and that's when playing games.
When I have played for some time (it's totally random) the screen goes black and it refuses to display the image again, tried unplugging it from graphics card, turn off power and nothing helps. The sound continues but nothing else respond.
This happens in all games i've tried this far (Prototype, Overlord II, Call of Juarez - Bound in Blood). It never happens when I'm simply using Windows or programs, only when I play games. Windowed Mode also seems to work without the screen going black, but unfortunately all games doesn't have an option to play in windowed mode.
I have all updates from Windows Update installed, latest graphics drivers and DirectX. The graphics card is quite hot when I touch it, so is it possible that Windows 7 is very sensitive to this? I never had this problem in Vista and it appeared right after i formated the harddrive and installed Windows 7 RC.
I was playing Skyrim when it first blue screened. Soon after, it blue screened when browsing. Now, it is blue screening over and over again on start up.

I get black screen everytime I play games, like World of Warcraft and Counter Strike: Source.In another Thread there was a guy with the same problem, he attached the MX-4 somehow and I don't know what that is, is it something you buy or is it something you download? The MX-4 seemed to be working for him so I wanna try that.
View 9 Replies View RelatedWhen I launch either of 2 games (Borderlands and The Secret World), after a while, the screen will go dark and most of the time I'll hear a high pitched wine, I'll restart the PC and everything is usually good. I say usually because in the last 2 days, when booting up, I'll get to the screen that says "Starting windows" or the desktop is about to be displayed and the screen goes dark.
The SSD firmware has been updated to the latest; I worked with Kingston to do this. In the BIOS, the drive is configured to use Raid (XHD) and the drive is physically connected to the SATA3 port.
I have tried physically connecting it to a SATA2 for the firmware upgrade along with changing from Raid (XHD) to ACHI to IDE. When I run the program Speccy, it says that the status of S.M.A.R.T is bad and running Crystal Disk Info, it says Unknown for the disk health and other fields.
I have started playing Guild Wars 2, after the first couple of days my game started to freezing and black screen to desktop before going back into game to only black screen again. At times my monitor would say no signal. The problem disappeared for close to 5 days and came back up again. I've tried playing other games and the problem is similar, freezing to desktop, black screen and crashing to desktop.During the black screen to desktop I would get 'Display driver stopped responding and has recovered'. I have updated to a few different drivers including the latest stable driver from Nvidia but the problem still exists.I have ran VMT for 10 passes with no errors.
Prime95 Small FFTs for over 2hours with no errors.Running FurMark the test does complete when I run BenchMark(user's setting) when I do the Burn In-Test everything looks okay until my GPU hits 80c. The computer would shut off then. Though when I play games my gpu varies between 50 to 62c[CODE]

The windows 7 is perfect which I installed in May 2011; is in excellent shape, all other programs like videos, online surfing, audios, working on MS office are running well without any issue. So the problem lies with games only that too the new games and not the older ones like Stronghold Crusader Extreme is running well, but newer games like Call of Duty, Sniper Ghost Warrior, Time Shift or Euro Truck 2, I experiencing the black screen of death. My computer has been working fine for almost a year now, and the BSOD just started two days ago while playing Skyrim. I thought it was just Skyrim, so I stopped playing that and just left it for a while. I was playing Skyrim last weekend, and the game froze on a black screen just as it was cutting to a kill animation. I had to restart the computer but when Windows loaded I had a BSOD. The computer booted fine up till this point.I've been looking up causes and fixes all week, and the dump files seem to suggest a 0x116 Video_TDR_error. I've attached all the requested information.I've already tried installing several different graphics drivers - the newest, the one supplied with the card, and one between. Windows and DirectX were fully up to date. I've also tried formatting the hard drive and installing Windows fresh, twice. I've had the computer back to the state it arrived in, when the drivers worked fine, and I've tried it with only the video drivers installed. Everything I try now is still resulting in the same BSOD.I can only get Windows to load in Safe Mode, or if I go into Device Manager and disable my graphics card. I am now fairly convinced the card itself is the problem, and I'm looking for confirmation before I go and get a new one fitted.The computer was new at the end of November. I had the same Windows install since then, but now I'm running a fresh install.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI updated my system from XP to Win 7. I clean installed Windows 7 onto a new HDD and installed the necesarry things I needed onto the new HDD. I have since been getting a series of black screeen crashes at many and varied times and whilst doing many different things. Sometimes my computer crashes when playing Mopdern Warfare 2, but sometimes it is just when surfing the internet, or just whilst idle. It is very frustrating and I have tried many things to try and rectify the problem, including trying to uninstall Comodo Firewall which i though was the initial problem, and also Realtek Audio Dirvers, to no avail. There is relitivly little bloatware on my PC at the moment as I plan on upgrading my system onto a SSD in the new year, so I am doing without iTunes and such like until 2012. [code]

I installed Windows 7 recently and then installed Borderlands and COD4. Both games run fine at lowest settings but after about 15-20 minutes of playing, my screen would just turn off and I'd have to switch the laptop off using the power button to reboot.
I'm not sure if this is a Windows 7 problem, graphic card issue, or heat related issue since my notebook fan is not working and i'm using a notebook cooler.
2 nights in a row my machine has shut down instantly whilst i have been downloading many torrents via utorre### and playing skyrim or within seconds of closing down skyrim. to start up the machine i have to switch of the psu and unplug it. then plug it back in and witch it on. i have experienced these types of crashes before on a diferent machine. a have a sturdy 1000w psu. and even though i have multi tasked these two programs before. this is the beginning of a bad day

I would get a random black screen while playing an online game on my laptop (this happens randomly but usually 15-30mins after starting Windows and start playing the game). After the black screen appeared, it would automatically reboot to this windows error recovery page with options to go into safe mode (networking/command prompt) or just boot windows normally.I chose to boot Windows normally but after getting into Windows 7 and started playing a while, a random BSOD would appear. It has happened for 2-3 days straight. The attached is the mini dump.
Note: I did not install anything new to my laptop, I have ran chkdsk and sfc /scannow and found nothing.I have no idea what caused the black screen and the BSOD.

Once I exited the game, I realized that when I would try to left click, it acts as a right click and the right click does nothing. This happened completely out of the blue. I checked my mouse settings and the swap left and right button box is not checked. I've searched around, and haven't been able to find anything.

Anyway there was a screen that was a bunch of colors i think mostly purple or pink but whatever. So i shut down my computer and when i turn it on it makes a buzzing noise for like a minute. I cleaned the inside of the computer all the dust out from the fans and all that but it still makes the sound. Also after the buzzing sound it turns off then back on then a light buzzing sound for a bout 4 or 5 mins then i think its gone. Its either that or because i turn on my modem then turn on my computer a second later.(i dont usually do that).

I keep getting this weird grey box that's open in my programs list (when I hit Alt+Tab), but not an application on Task Manager. It doesn't show up on my desktop until I use Alt+Tab to switch to it (here is the image I see from that), when it appears on my desktop and doesn't disappear (see this screenshot). It won't let me click on it; refreshing the desktop doesn't get rid of it either. I tried closing a couple processes on Task Manager, but couldn't figure out what it was.

When I started my PC this morning, it went on to the blue welcome screen and then suddenly a gray-black screen appears and stays there for a long time. eventually, multiple instances of the same error message pop up with multiple processes:the instruction at 0x referenced memory at 0x. The required data was not placed into memory because I/o error....Upon restarting, I've tried safe mode, repair, last config etc. to no avail. Windows also tries to check c: for errors sometimes, but it just hangs saying some unexpected error was found.

While suddenly my comp screen shows weird glitchy lines and the sound freezes, i end up turning off my computer and restarting it, but the glitchy screen still shows and wont startup to login screen. I was able to startup into safe mode (still with the weird glitch on screen) but the restoring and doing startup repair seems to not have fixed the problem.
