My computer is constantly buffering. When I try to watch movies or look at tutorials. I get just a few minutes into it and it stops and buffers and I can't get it to stop. It takes me forever to watch anything and I get discussed and turn it off.
i have a new system running windows 7 home premium and when i play short video's like Internet(4 min) or any like video, it stops several times to buffer. my old vista system didn't do this very much. is there a setting to adjust for this?
i'm having an issue with one of my computers using windows 7 when it comes to downloading certain file types and even buffering videos online. i am able to watch live streams of people playing games i play, i'm able to load Internet videos, and i'm able to download .exe files for games i play. for some reason i can't seem to do anything else. it seems like music, movie, and .rar or .zip files all won't download. i have to right-click and "save link as" just to get to the option of saving it, but after that the download gets stuck on "starting..." i thought it might possibly be a specific browser problem, but firefox, chrome, and ie all have this problem. i tried disabling my anti-virus, turning off my windows firewall, and even making sure my router didn't have any funky settings but it's been to no good use. i went into the browsers and disabled all their internal security options, and that didn't help either.
My desktop computer fan runs incessantly. Even when it is in a cool environment, it runs almost constantly. Even when it is not supposed to be doing anything, it will be running. This drives me nuts; what can I do about it?
Also, as an aside, I have noticed that, when I access the Internet or something else on my *other* computer, a laptop, or even iPhone, on the same router network, the fan starts running on the desktop computer.
I have a dell optiplex 360 that is running windows 7. I added a video card geforce 7950 gt, at the time when I added this the computer was running fine for months. Then I upgraded the power supply to a raidmax rx730ss because the video card needed the 6 pin power supply that the old psu didn't have. After I installed the new PSU the computer would start running the post (dell logo screen) finish the load bar, go to a black screen then reboot and start running post again. the computer does this indefinitely as far as I can tell.I installed the old power supply and it did the exact same thing.
But all of a sudden my computer just start using 100% cpu constantly. like it never goes down to an idle percentage. It is really getting annoying with the fan super fast and loud.
So I have looked everywhere and cannot seem to find my problem. I have an acer aspire 5532 with a 160gb HDD and 4gb of ram. Windows 7 home premium 64 bit. And It freezes constantly. I don't mean like ten minutes at a time, I mean till you forcibly shut the computer down. I have tried lots of things, memtest86, spyware, malware removal, the scan now option via cmd. Ive been told its probably a system file, but its not. It Usually only happens when the internet is involved. Webcam, minecraft online, that stuff
i found my computer is freezing all the time. I have had no problems with this up to now, but it's so bad, it's impossible to do anything. After i log in, the computer will freeze after a minute or two. Doesn't matter what i'm doing. I had a problem with freezing a year ago when i used an old Saitek joystick. I deleted the drivers and software and it worked fine after that. I was using that joystick again a month ago and the computer would still run fine. However, now, it doesn't. I deleted the drivers and software related to saitek and it still freezes without fail a minute or two after startup.
So my computer starts out logging on, sometimes it'll take a long time on the splash screen, sometimes it'll freeze on the splash screen, but now more recently, it's just gotten to the splash screen, not turned off, and restarted itself back to the start screen. It comes up with the problem of Windows not shutting down properly and asks for system repair or normal startup, but system repair doesn't help at all because it gets to the background screen and system repair doesn't pop up.
I'm having a really bothersome problem here, my computer is shutting down sometimes or either freezing and making weirds noises where i can't move even the mouse and i need to hard boot.
This freezes only happens when i turn on the computer for the firsts time of the day, it happens like 5-10 times and then he starts working correctly for the rest of the day, i don't have a clue what is happening, do i need to format my computer?
After i lock the computer and leave for a bit, i come back to find my hard drive spinning constantly at 100 % reading and writing, but when i touch the mouse and move it it immediately goes away.I've tried disabling the Search Indexer, but that hasnt seemed to stop it. Scheduled defrag is off too. It's an Asus G73JW Laptop?
I am having a big issue with my computer. I originally ran windows xp professional until i upgraded to adobe cs5 and needed to switch to windows 7.now that i have windows 7 my programs stop working constantly. if i'm working in photoshop on a large photo the screen will go blank and a bubble will pop-up saying "driver stopped working but has started working again" and a lot of times photoshop, illustrator, and FL Studio will stop working and need to be shut down and started again. i've noticed sometimes when the computer is on overnight i'll wake up and it will be off. when i turn on the computer it will say that it didn't shut down properly. i was in the process of doing batch photo edits and it shut down on me right in the middle so i've got to figure out the problem. since i use this computer for freelance graphic design and photography. here are my specs.
I am constantly getting a pop-up from AVG recommending that I switch off IE because it is using too much memory. It quotes a figure of between 450 and 650 mb.
I am having huge problems with my pc. I very rarely use is as my wife and kids tend to always be on it but, when I've come to try and use it, it freezes all the time for about 5 minutes, then works for a few more minutes before freezing again with the message (not responding) at the top. My wife tells me it's been like this for months and months. I've tried everything on the Norton 360 package that I have but nothing at all seems to speed it up. I've spoken to the tech guys who supply my broadband and after running several tests they insist it's not a broadband problem. I don't know what to do next to try to get rid of this problem.
I don't know what's up with IE9 lately but mine is crashing randomly on all kinds of websites. even Western digital's site it just crashed 3 times for no good reason.as far as updates go I'm all up to date. the last update I got was for security essentials and .net stuff.
i recently built a new gaming pc around a week ago with the specs:
Operating System MS Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit SP1 CPU Intel Core i5 2500K @ 3.30GHz31 C Sandy Bridge 32nm Technology RAM 8.00 GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 666MHz (9-9-9-24) Motherboard
[code].....
When i first built it i was getting mouse lag of a split second and started getting the blue screen of death, so i then took my pc back to the shop in which i got the parts and they fixed it by replacing my ram i think. But even though they looked at it and re-installed windows im still getting mouse lag. It's not a HUGE problem when doing simple tasks like browsing the web ect.. but when im trying to play games like counter strike its just frustrating to play and trying to be accurate is a task in a half.Just to be clear, what i mean by mouse lag is a tiny delay from me moving the mouse and it displaying which is a fraction of a second but it's very noticeable.Ive tried using various mouses and tweaking the mouse settings in the controll panel and downloading the drivers that i know of but no matter what i do, there is always a slight lag of the mouse. I'm unsure if it's a hardware problem or software but i cant seem to figure it out and i want to try and find the source of the problem before resorting to going back to the shop because it will cost me to get their service and its a really long drive away.
Even when I have all of the programs closed, the process "Explorer.exe" is running at 80% - 95% all of the time. This is causing serious system slowdown.
My fan keeps whizzing on and off constantly when I do the most mild of tasks like browsing the web. Its been pretty constant since I installed my SSD. To be honest in a quiet room its pretty annoying. Do I require an update to the Asus bios on my Zenbook
I have a a win 7 64 bit PC. For the past few weeks my PC has been locking up by the mouse pointer having a hour glass next to it and then freezing. This happening a lot. Sometimes I am able to X out of it but sometimes I have to hard boot it.
I have windows 7 ultimate and my computer keeps restarting. everytime i turn it on it says "Windows has encountered a problem and will be restarting in one minuite" normally i can reslove problems like this but i dont have tiem to do anything on the computer since it restarts it in one minuite.
I`m trying to run DX-BALL Game in windows 7 ultimate on a Toshiba Satellite laptop but the game keeps on minimising itself. I know it`s an old game so i`ve tried running it in every conceiveable compatibility mode but no luck. I had it running on another Toshiba Satellite laptop on windows 7 ultimate without a problem. The display adapter is: Mobile Intel(R) 4 Series Express Chipset Family.I`ve uninstalled and re-installed several times but still no good, it`s annoying as i had it running perfectly on another toshiba laptop.
I have a Compaq Presario CQ56 laptop. Operating system is Windows 7. Google chrome is my internet browser. I bought it new a year and a half ago. In the past week it has started to lag and freeze constantly. It also takes forever for it to load when it has been shut down.
I'm using an ASUS X5DC laptop with a 250gb hard drive and 4gb RAM. My CPU usage is constantly staying at 100% unless the system is idle which even at that it only goes down to 86%.
urn off Instant On using an Asus laptopi'm having a non-virus (i'm pretty sure i've run MBAM,Avast!, and Super anti-spyware all pro version with nothing being picked up) related problem, about a week ago my hdd started freezing constantly (after MSW auto updates,i tryed sys-restore to no avial), this is a relatively old drive (about 5 years), and then suddenly a few days ago it refused to boot the OS and then i took it to the local IT guy and he got it to boot the OS but now i've noticed that my main admin account(i'm using my spare right now) will freeze when ever i try to open a program,it is still responsive to some key commands like alt-tab, and sometimes ctrl+shift+esc, after this happens explorer.exe becomes un-responsive and i have to hard boot the machine.
It is running 64 bit Windows 7 Home Premium with 4 gigs of Ram.The problem they are having is that as soon as they stop working with any program, game, etc. the computer will go back to the log in menu and wait until their password has been entered. Once it does, it will go back to where it was. I was running Windows Update and it did it then. It is so weird to see it part way through an update download and have it go back to the sign in.I've tried the following:
1.I reset all setting to Never so that the computer should never go to sleep.
2.I deleted the password on the computer. Now my friend doesn't need to log in but the computer still waits for her to click on the administrative icon before it goes back to Windows.
I don't understand this problem. I've looked all over the net and even supposed to have solved the problems by several of the posts but it just doesn't work. I can't understand that if the computer is "NEVER" supposed to go to sleep why it is!
I have an E-machines EL1358-53 desktop with Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bit OS.
The system seems to freeze up (no blue screen, just not responding), mostly when Windows boots up, or working on files through the network. I have tried to restore to previous date, and also wiped out hard drive and re installed windows. I do not really know what to do at this point, nor do i want to spend the money out of my budget to buy a new desktop.
So I don't know what happened but while I was working a few days ago, windows just started getting really really slow. Everything started breaking, vidoe, audio. It couldn't open a single program. I could however run a virus scan (that took hours), and no relevant threat was found. So I tried running Ubuntu to get my stuff out of there as I usually do and not even that worked. It still was really slow.So I re.installed it anyways losing whatever I had there, which was not much. Anyways, now, although it's not nearly as bad, it will break often times when I run for an example, firefox and windows media player. Which is nothing demanding at all. I ran a virus scan again, and no threat is found.
My PC's display just went off while I was surfing the net...first I thought it was the screen, so I plugged in another screen, windows booted and same happened after a few minutes after startup...screen just goes off...Now to my knowledge it can be 2 things:
1. graphics card
2. RAM. Notes: I do not get any beep errors...
I would like to know, what are the best software available for testing RAM issues? Also, I am using AMI BIOS(american megatrends v7.4, 2009), how do I do the startup memory diagnostics? I know there is a shortcut for it...
Also, I'm typing on the PC now that is giving me issues, don't know how long until display goes again...
