Windows Came Up With Debug Error
Feb 10, 2013The problem is that when ill start my windows coming up some debug error and i dont know how to fix this. It comes up with notepad file windows will start and popup out.

Windows Debug Installation Error
Jan 23, 2012I am trying to install the software where I can be able to read the minidump files after the BSOD. I found info from google and downloaded Windows Development Kits 7.1 for Windows 7 Pro x64. After I have complete the installation including debugging tools.Now when I run the windbg.exe program, I receive a "windbg.exe - bad image error" saying:"C:Program filesDebugging Tools for Windows (x64)dbghelp.dll is either not designed to run on windows or it contains an error. Try installing the program again using the original installation media or contact your system administrator or the software vendor for support."I did uninstall then reinstall the software but receiving same errors.

Have you attempted to right click the install file for the application and select "properties," chose the "compatibility" tab and check mark the box "Run this program as an administrator?"

2 Lots Of (Debug And System Error Memory) Dump Files?
Jul 29, 2010When doing a disk cleanup I noticed that the items suggested for deletion included Debug Dump Files and System Error Memory Dump Files. Both were exactly the same size (>350MB), which makes me wonder if one is a duplicate of the other. It's a fairly new computer which has only had one BSOD, and I knew about the memory dump and minidump files and where to find them. However, I can't find the Debug Dump File, nor do I know why it needs to be there as well as the memory dump. Also, if there is another BSOD, will the Debug Dump File be overwritten like the memory dump file is, or will I accumulate more of these rather large files?

Apr 3, 2012i've just installed a new software called commview for wifi, it has a problem in slow capturing packets for a specific SSID & it stops at a certain amount of packets (10,000). I contacted their support & tried some solutins, at last they asked me to run it in debug mode & send them the log file, i'm not sure how to do it but i googled, when i try any command from the cmd it gives me that it isn't recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or patch file.

Aug 11, 2011I'm trying to debug a slow shutdown on my laptop with an SSD.I've done the msconfig to so non-microsoft services and other startups do not start at boot but this doesn't make a big difference.One thing is that although the shutdown takes 2 minutes, and the disk activity light is pinned solid in those 2 minutes, so something is going on, I can't seem to figure out how to get information about what is going on. The big problem is that 7 seconds after the shutdown command, the event log service shuts down. After that point there are no log entries.Is there a way to configure the event log service so that it doesn't stop right after the shutdown command?If there were log entries this would probably be quick debugging.Also while I am at it, here are my theories for what is going on (1) the disk is busy in those 2 minutes doing some sort of registry backup, or (2) also running through a journaling file system log to update disk blocks to a consistent state, or (3) or running the search indexer.What does Windows 7 do to the disks when it is shutting down?

Random BSOD - Difficult To Debug As Will Not Create Dump Files

One computer is setup as a server with specific software on it, and another or more computers are setup as workstations.When attempting to connect to a workstation computer in the network I receive the error message:Network Error Windows cannot access \ComputerName Check the spelling of the name. Otherwise, there might be a problem with your network. To try to identify and resolve network problems, click Diagnose. Error Code: 0x80070035 The Network path was not found Here are some details:I'm trying to connect to a computer running Windows XP SP3 from a different computer running Windows 7 Pro Sp1 (both machines are 32-bit). Share folders are setup correctly giving everyone and administrators full access. I'm trying to connect from an administrative account created with the same name and password on both computers. Both computers have the same subnet and similar IPs (IE, one IP is 192.168.1.1 and the other is 192.168.1.2). Both computers are on the same workgroup name. Enable TCP/IP is setup on the network adapter (versus being "Default"). TCP/IPv6 is disabled Windows Firewall is disabled on the WinXP computer, and turned off on the Windows 7 computer. Computer Browser, Server, SSDP Discovery, and TCP/IP NetBIOS Helper services are all set to Automatic startup and started. Both computers have other software anti-virus/firewall that have been disabled (for testing purposes). I can browse the shared folder on the Windows 7 computer from the WinXP computer without problem, and don't get the above error on WinXP. Other interesting facts are that I can see the WinXP computer when opening the Network browser on the Windows 7 computer, but I can't see the Windows 7 computer in the Network Places browser on the WinXP computer. Also, I can edit the HOSTS with the computer names/IPs to stop the above error message, but it's really only a bandaid to this problem.I have other services that broadcast from the Windows 7 computer via the network adapters based on the LANA number (which I have correctly setup). These broadcast information and let software on the WinXP computer work correctly. These broadcasts are not getting through as if the LANA number was setup incorrectly, even with the HOSTS file edited.
I would like to find a solution without having to edit the HOSTS file. I've been reading forum post after forum post (google search). What's frustrating is this is not the only environment I have something like this setup (Windows 7/WinXP mix), but this network is the only one I'm having issues with. I've Looked over every concievable network setting between two identical mixed OS locations and found nothing different. Yet the problem persists. The Windows 7 computer was just upgraded to Windows 7 from WinXP Also. The image used to do the upgrade is the same used at another location I compared this computer to.
Windows 7 Update Error...error 80246008?
Dec 15, 2012seeing as it had infected my services.exe, part of the fix was to get a new copy of it, or something around those lines; this will come in to play later, I think. Anyway, its been a LONG time, my last update whenever I try running windows update, it runs for a bit and tries to receive the updates, but then stops and displays a message saying it failed to update, and gives me the error code of 80246008. I've looked this up, and I see that it possibly has something to do with the background intelligent transfer service.

Jun 28, 2011i recently got a computer from my aunt, and decided to put windows 7 on it. Before I installed it, I put in a Geforce 8800 graphics card and a (2nd) cd rom drive. After 20 failed attempts to install windows 7 (it kept freezing at the completing installation part) it worked after i disconnected the new graphics card and one of the hard drives. Now, however, i keep on getting periodic blue screens with the following error messages : Memory Management, and PFN_List Corrupt. I ran a memory diagnostic and it said that the memory is fine. Nov 15, 2011when i click format a 150 gb partition space in disk management option i recieved the following message "An unexpected error has occurred. Check the System Event Log for more information on the error. Close the Disk Management console, then restart Disk Management or restart the computer". and the drive does not appear like other drives in MY Computer?

-Full system scan with Comodo AV.
-Revealed hidden files and folders.
-Run the installer in both compatability (Even though it does work on Windows 7, and as an Administrator).
-Also done the scan on CMD (can't remember exact command).

May 19, 2012I get this error using both a HOme premium DVD and using the HDD on this system ... best I can tell it is not giving me options about what sort of boot to attempt. Not sure the hardware is healthy but there are no removable devices present [that is no sd card, no usb thingies plugged halfway in, just the dvd drive which is either empty or with the Windows 7 disc, depending on attempt]

Aug 11, 2010I recently switched out an older Netgear router for the Netgear WNDR3300. I have a 1TB WD MyBookWorld connected via ethernet to the router. Ever since the router switch I have been having two specifice issues:While uploading videos to Facebook, the video will upload anywhere from several MB up to over 100 MB, then stall, saying it's still uploading but trust me, it isn't. I can copy files/folders from the networked hard drive to my computer flawlessly, but when I try to copy files/folders from my computer to the networked hard drive, it copies anywhere from a few seconds to maybe a couple minutes then stalls out, giving the error message: "Network Error. There was a problem accessing [\SERVERFOLDER]... Make sure you are connected to the network and try again." with Retry, Skip and Cancel. When cancel is pressed it gives: "An unexpected error is keeping you from copying the file. If you continue to receive this error, you can use the error code to search for help with this problem. Error 0x8007003B: An unexpected network error occurred.
Other useful information: on the new router, the WNDR3300, if I use WEP security, I can copy files/folders to the hard drive, no problem. However if I try to use WPA/WPA2, the abovementioned problems occur. I would use WEP and just forget the hassle, but WPA2 is much faster and more secure, so I really want to get this fixed.I also believe the two problems are somehow related, considering they both involve working for a few seconds to a few minutes, then stalling and failing. Could this be somekind of authentication or something to do with WPA/WPA2 that I'm doing wrong?
