Have you attempted to right click the install file for the application and select "properties," chose the "compatibility" tab and check mark the box "Run this program as an administrator?"

I found info from google and downloaded Windows Development Kits 7.1 for Windows 7 Pro x64. After I have complete the installation including debugging tools.Now when I run the windbg.exe program, I receive a "windbg.exe - bad image error" saying:"C:Program filesDebugging Tools for Windows (x64)dbghelp.dll is either not designed to run on windows or it contains an error. Try installing the program again using the original installation media or contact your system administrator or the software vendor for support."I did uninstall then reinstall the software but receiving same errors.
View 3 Replies View RelatedWhen doing a disk cleanup I noticed that the items suggested for deletion included Debug Dump Files and System Error Memory Dump Files. Both were exactly the same size (>350MB), which makes me wonder if one is a duplicate of the other. It's a fairly new computer which has only had one BSOD, and I knew about the memory dump and minidump files and where to find them. However, I can't find the Debug Dump File, nor do I know why it needs to be there as well as the memory dump. Also, if there is another BSOD, will the Debug Dump File be overwritten like the memory dump file is, or will I accumulate more of these rather large files?

i've just installed a new software called commview for wifi, it has a problem in slow capturing packets for a specific SSID & it stops at a certain amount of packets (10,000). I contacted their support & tried some solutins, at last they asked me to run it in debug mode & send them the log file, i'm not sure how to do it but i googled, when i try any command from the cmd it gives me that it isn't recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or patch file.
View 14 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to debug a slow shutdown on my laptop with an SSD.I've done the msconfig to so non-microsoft services and other startups do not start at boot but this doesn't make a big difference.One thing is that although the shutdown takes 2 minutes, and the disk activity light is pinned solid in those 2 minutes, so something is going on, I can't seem to figure out how to get information about what is going on. The big problem is that 7 seconds after the shutdown command, the event log service shuts down. After that point there are no log entries.Is there a way to configure the event log service so that it doesn't stop right after the shutdown command?If there were log entries this would probably be quick debugging.Also while I am at it, here are my theories for what is going on (1) the disk is busy in those 2 minutes doing some sort of registry backup, or (2) also running through a journaling file system log to update disk blocks to a consistent state, or (3) or running the search indexer.What does Windows 7 do to the disks when it is shutting down?

The last BSOD seen was at around 10:00 this morning (may have been earlier as the machine was found with a blue screen...), the problem I have at the moment is that the PC is not creating dump files - I have checked the settings (screen shot included) but it still won't create them.I have uploaded the output of the utilities as per the 'BSOD Assistance' posting?

Then from the program while trying to take print (by clicking on command button which sends print commands into printer) it fails. Then I executed the program from a command prompt after opened the command prompt as 'Administrator', then the print works. How can we give the print and other related things to be enable/can set the permissions if we execute the program by simply double click the short cut key?

I do a lot of photo editing with Nikon software and CS5. My critical problem affects CS5 64bit, Nikon CaptureNX2 - 32 bit, and Nikon ViewNX2 - 32 bit. Suddenly last night I could not save labels in ViewNX2 or files in CaptureNX2 and CS5. The error message was the red circle with an 'x' saying I did not have access privileges to change the file, that I will have to go to the file and change the access privileges in the files/info properties in the operating system. I can save files with a new name, I just can't edit and save again. I have over 40,000 image files; changing access privileges would be close to impossible, even if I knew how to do it.
I took a look at the properties of the folder where the images were and, for some unknown reason, the whole folder was marked as 'Read Only'. Unchecking that attribute did not solve the problem, I still can't edit the files.
This problem does not occur in other programs, notably Word and Excel 2003.
I am having issues with running certain apps with admin privilege.I have installed Notepad++ which i use for my .js files.Now here's what's happening: When im editing a file which is located in the programfiles folder, it wouldn't allow me to save it. I can only save it if i close the app, give it admin privilege(right click->compatibility->check run as admin).This is fine with me. But if i do that, another issue pops up. I am then not able to open files in notepad++ via the context menu. neither can i drag drop the file onto notepad++.

Tried to run HP driver setup (which stinks anyway) and it gets to a step where it says I needed to run it as administrator. But I am one. If I start it with "Run as Administrator" it still fails. If I run it with the hidden administrator account I get the same problem. If I change the UAC to allow everything, I still get it. I had a similar problem trying to install Nero. It seems like I am an admin, but I'm not really. Other stuff (Office 2007) installed fine.

How with their being a warning "I do not have access to administrative details," can I disable all network connections, as well as disabling the internet to guard my privacy? The system I am speaking of is known as "CASSIE," and previous to the city over seeing all aspects of IT, I had no problems. Now essays have been changed, I have had pertinent details, i.e. how to pass the bar, mastering the essay portion of the bar.... and all of these have been erased from my USB's along with many other pertinent files.

Code: You have no 'Administrator' privilege, so some features may not work successfully. I've done more fresh installs than I can count and have never seen this annoying popup before. I've tried searching on google and the only discussions about this message are in Japanese. View 3 Replies View Relatedi recently got a computer from my aunt, and decided to put windows 7 on it. Before I installed it, I put in a Geforce 8800 graphics card and a (2nd) cd rom drive. After 20 failed attempts to install windows 7 (it kept freezing at the completing installation part) it worked after i disconnected the new graphics card and one of the hard drives. Now, however, i keep on getting periodic blue screens with the following error messages : Memory Management, and PFN_List Corrupt. I ran a memory diagnostic and it said that the memory is fine. What is wrong with my computer? I also ran a system repair thing from the windows 7 disk, and it came up with this error: System File Integrity Check and Repair Error Code 0X490

when i click format a 150 gb partition space in disk management option i recieved the following message "An unexpected error has occurred. Check the System Event Log for more information on the error. Close the Disk Management console, then restart Disk Management or restart the computer". and the drive does not appear like other drives in MY Computer?

So anyway. Some time ago SP1 launched for Windows 7. I installed but it but something went it wrong and it didn't install correcly and then i was forced to use System restore. Everything worked and i haven't used SP1 because i don't want to risk screwing up my computer before some important things, i got plenty of time later for that . The problem is after the system restore every time Vegas launches i get a error : Sony Vegas pro 10 an error occurred starting Vegas Pro Error 0x80070002 (message missing).
View 1 Replies View Relatedi have a toshibio satelite model # psc16c02q00m, I've tried to reformat my computer, i have the back up Disk and when i started my computer i press F12 to get the boot bios where i made it boot from disk putting my back up cd#1 into there. it was working fine till i put in disk three, from there i got a F3-F200-002 Error said an error has occurred please press OK to turn off the computer. and that is the only option. ive tried repeating the process but now all i get to is this screen even when i try to but off the hard drive im assuming my windows has been cleaned.

What I've tried;
-Full system scan with Comodo AV.
-Revealed hidden files and folders.
-Run the installer in both compatability (Even though it does work on Windows 7, and as an Administrator).
-Also done the scan on CMD (can't remember exact command).

All goes well, it installs everything, but as it finished I get this error: I have tried redownloading, using other installers and updating my graphics drivers. Nothing will work. It's probably worth mentioning that the first time I tried installing, about a week ago, my computer totally froze in the middle of the install and I had to force restart.
