Jan 18, 2011I have installed Windows 7 Ultinate on my Compaq 610 laptop but it won't discover the built-in blue tooth. I have downloaded the driver from HP Site but the driver also comes up with an error that no device found, cancel installation.

Nov 30, 2011I have an Iogear bluetooth dongle that until a couple of weeks ago was working fine. I use it to connect to a bluetooth keyboard. I went on a trip and took the keyboard with me, where I paired it with my iPad. When I came back, the bluetooth could no longer find the keyboard, or any other bluetooth device for that matter.I've gone through all of the usual troubleshooting steps, including making sure it is set to run automatically, making sure the device drivers are updated, removing and reinstalling the device drivers, making sure the bluetooth settings are correct as far as set to find devices etc. with no luck.It does appear to be working as far as the device goes. There is a blue light on the dongle that blinks when I click to find a bluetooth device. When I put the bluetooth on the computer into discover mode, my phone is able to find the bluetooth radio, but it cannot connect with it. All of this, and the fact that it worked fine before, leads me to believe it may be a problem with my computer. I ran antivirus software, and although it found a couple of malware programs, nothing changed.

Feb 2, 2012I have a HP pavillion dv-6.I tried installing Windows XP as a secondary OS, but i got a BSOD every time i tried. To be more specific, I get a BSOD once all the setup files are loaded and it says Setup is starting Windows.Ever since then, my laptop no longer boots windows 7 up. It goes to the booting screen and the cursor keeps blinking, but thats it.I think the reason behind this is because xp uses boot.ini, but 7 doesnt, and if the setup files were copied onto the hard-drive, and so was a boot.ini file, it doesnt detect xp or 7.What should i do? It ran well, and I mainly used it for the internet; however a few days ago I tried to insert a Blank Disc in the drive so I could burn a home-video onto it. However the computer didn't read it. Dec 31, 2009I have a HP Compaq nc4000 which I have installed windows 7 on a clean hard drive. Windows 7 took 8 hours to install and now every time it boots up it takes around an hour before I can use it. Time to boot to the desktop is around 10 minutes, however the computer remains frozen. After an hour the computer becomes responsive and I am able to use as normal.
Also if I put the computer into Hibernation I can use it that way, however the moment I power off completely I will have to go through the same problems. At the moment I have nothing installed on the hard drive other than windows. There is no problem with my copy of windows as I was able to install this to my desktop without problems.
My system specs are:
1.4ghz processor
1GB of RAM
160GB HD
Windows 7 ultimate 32bit
From my own experience I probably think this is a driver problem, however I have gone onto HP website but there are no Windows 7 or Vista drivers available for my system. It just seems strange it all works as normal after about an hour.
I would be really grateful if anyone has any suggestions.
