View 1 Replies View RelatedAt the moment I'm looking after a Sony VAIO VGN-SZ48GN with Windows Vista Business 32-bit preinstalled and am looking to in-place upgrade this to Windows 7 Professional 32-bit.
Currently the machine has the Toshiba Bluetooth stack installed and Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor says that for some Bluetooth components it doesn't know if there is an update for Windows 7 and for others that there is a "free" update available from the manufacturer ("Toshiba").
However I know that updates from Toshiba are free only for Toshiba laptops and Sony has no sight of a Windows 7 driver anywhere. I think based on the Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor that I have version 5.0 of the Toshiba Bluetooth stack currently installed.
Does anyone have any experience upgrading these VAIO machines to Windows 7? Will Bluetooth work seamlessly after an upgrade or is there more to it?
Bluetooth is the only reason that I'm wary of upgrading to Windows 7, otherwise the upgrade advisor gives a completely clean bill of health.
i need this software .....because before some days i formatted my laptop....sony vaio vpceg15en..

View 1 Replies View RelatedA few months later i wanted to upgrade my 32 bit to 64, since i could only use 3,16 GB ram, and my computer has 8GB. So i bought a win 7 home premium 64 bit and installed it. Now i face the same problem, my computer can not detect any wireless network adapter, though i'm 99% sure that my computer has one.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI just upgraded my home network with wireless N.
USB wireless adapter is dlink DWA-130C, driver installed properly and windows 7 32bit detected it correctly as DWA-130C on device manager but it could not find any network in my area.
When I do troubleshoot, windows tell me that driver may not installed properly.
FYI it happened with my older G USB adapter too, when I uninstall the driver to update, it installed normally but then it does not detect any network. I have to do system restore to make it work again.
Any idea?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have just moved house and been given the internet details by the landlord. The provider is Virgin and the landlord asked for my MAC addresses of each device to allow access to the internet and gave me the password. I managed to connect on my iPhone and my housemate who is also running windows 7 off a laptop can also connect. However the network does not even appear in my wireless list. Several other wireless networks in the area are being detected but not the one in the house. I know it's not hidden as I can connect on other devices.
I have tried a manual setup with the network name, encryption etc and tick "allow connection even when network is hidden" but all to no avail. Unfortunately I have no access to the router as the landlord has that next door, however seems strange it would be a router issue if the other devices connect fine. I have been through all the settings with my housemate and ensured we have the same setup and am now thoroughly baffled and annoyed.
My laptop cannot detect any wireless right now, though the others are connecting normally. But when I plugged the cable network in, my laptop can connect to wired network. Previously, it could be able to connect to wifi, but suddenly, the wifi is like hidden from it. I also tried to check the wireless drivers but I couldn't find any.
