Windows 7 Won't Boot After Virus Removal

I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate and I'm hoping to get a quick fix on this as I've been trying for two days to fix this computer with no luck yet. The problem arose so far in that, I ran ESet security and it found and deleted two infections in Appdata/roaming - (I noted that it was reading trial mode at the bottom of the windows screen which I never noticed before but at least that was when it was still functioning. I restarted the computer, was welcomed by the Asus menu screen first and then when it goes to load windows, it says "loading windows files" and then goes to the automatic repair feature. It says corrupt file in problem details and proceeds to conclude that it can't fix it. In the advanced features, I have tried the startup repair with no luck, the system restore with no luck - tried all restore points listed and after many many 30 min intervals, it comes back that it cannot restore to the previous state. There are no disk images and no memory problems. Command Prompt will run (although one time it did not and simply shut down). I booted from DVD and tried repair from that with no more luck than before, however, did find it strange that when it looked for the windows installation it found one called windows and one called Microsoft Windows - same partition size, all details the same?

I followed the info under Windows cannot start/.exe files cannot run forum up until ubunto is concerned something about the cd and usb running I can get it to make the mbr.bin file but can't get it to recognize the usb to put it on to check it out or the balance of what's next? Also, at the Automatic System repair it reads:

It doesn't identify an actual corrupt file name it says it can't determine the root of the problem.Tried to run Windows 7 upgrade from the disk but because I'm not in windows that won't work and also because I'm running SP1 and I don't have the disk for SP1.I've downloaded Unetbootin and Ubontu but don't know how to work them to get things fixed I've also tried unloading the windows update cache but still nothing because prior to this problem it was failing on all windows updates and have noticed other people comment that that was their problem - still no luck.

I removed a virus from my friends e machine net book a week or so ago it was the system tool 2012 virus.it was removed fully and have checked this via AV and malwarebytes etc.but since then the internet always finds wifif points and connects but always says limited connection.

I had one of these nasty system restore viruses and managed to get it off by running two different Malware programs each two times, where i had to get creative and load it using a USB stick and change the names to actually get rid of all the files.I then ran a system restore to the point just before this thing got on my computer and then half my folders returned. When I did the Unhide to Show the rest, they came back but are faded out or half lit. Office files won't open so I am assuming I need to re-install but before I do anything else, how do I get the files to show fully? Computer also will not start in normal mode, only safe. Got it to at least boot in Safe with Networking on this last round.

I recently removed a fake windows restore virus and now, unlike before, when I select hibernate, the laptop actually just shuts down. When I restart everything I was working is gone. Obviously something is corrupted. Is there a way to repair that? To get rid of the virus I used a combination of Webroot, a program called trojan-killer and system restore.

Recently was infected with a virus, which I removed with Kaspersky, but now all of my program folders are empty and / or missing when I hit Start -All Programs. I believe this is self-inflicted. I'm running Windows 7/64 on a Dell N7010 laptop. It has a OS (C:) drive (58.5GB) and a Local Disk (D:)drive (527GB). I originally found the "C" drive becoming full. Not being overly computer savy, I tried to move program files and any large files I could locate to the "D" drive. Everything seemed to work fine, until this virus. Now I believe the computer is reverting back to the original location of these files on the "C" drive, and I'm not sure on how to link them back to my All Programs menu.

Our PC internet quit working a few days ago. Our wireless laptop and Ipods work. After some (hours) of playing, I noticed our homepage was set to something Babylon. So realized we had some virus issues after research. I have run SpyBot S&D, SAS and Malwarebytes- all came up with some various serious threats. CouponBar, Babylon, I want it! etc. These programs seemed to have removed all the problems, but I still do not have access. My LAN can find my network, but says "no internet access" the wireless does not connect either on this PC.
My computer knowledge is minimal but after comparing various ipconfig screens, it seems to have something to do with the IP addresses. I read that 169.254...is not good. I disabled IPV6 and when obtaining IP addresses automatically didn't work- I typed in the ones listed on the details part of the adapter. I'm trying to fix my girlfriend's Windows 7 laptop after she had a virus/malware infection. I'm pretty sure we've successfully cleared the virus (an updated/full scan with Malwarebyte's Anti-Malware in safe mode comes up clean). However, we have had no Internet access since the infection. The wireless router/connection itself is fine (I connect to it daily with my laptop, as I am to write this post) but her laptop won't connect to it, we can't browse any web pages.I may have made the problem worse in trying to resolve it. I stupidly followed the advice on a forum for some registry edits for Windows XP--deleting WinSock and WinSock2 from the registry and then restarting the computer in hopes they'd re-register themselves. Unfortunately, WinSock2 re-appeared but WinSock did not. I'm wondering if this has created a new problem (or compounded the problems we were already having).In diagnostics, we currently get the following report: "Wireless Network Connection doesn't have a valid IP configuration." I just ran an ipconfig in the command prompt and got the following results:

I have an Acer desktop (AX1420G-U5832) with Windows7 64 bit which recently got a trojan. Microsoft Security Essentials partially removed it so I burned Microsoft Defender to a disc and booted my computer from the disc. Defender ran and removed the trojan successfully. Unfortunately, when I tried to reboot my computer to Winows normally it wouldnt. The Acer logo appers like normal but the next screen is a black screen with blinking cursor. It does nothing.I am able to access the BIOS menu with DEL.I am able to access the boot device menu with F12. I'm currently booting from the hard drive.

To all that may be having problems and need assistance: STAY AWAY from the website FREE PC TECH! I was looking for a problem with one of my XP laptops, was steered to it on a forum (tom's computing net) and downloaded three boot discs. Today, MSE caught the viruses and removed them from my laptop. The most severe one, I forgot to write down the name of it, but it was a password stealer. The other two (medium risk) were Tool:Win32/Angryscan.A & Remote Access:Win32/RealVNC.
These two were said to be a privacy risk or could cause computer damage. There are a whole page of boot and recovery discs here, but stay away. It took a while, but MSE fixed the problems. I'm beginning to be impressed with MSE. Usually, Avast places these files in the virus chest, but MSE deleted or destroyed them.

I did some 'searching' and found a few posts about 'magnifier' but most were concerning it's use, how to exit out of it, etc. My question is how to stop it.
I've been to Ease of Access Center, and there is no checkmark in magnifier. A shortcut to it is listed in start menu and I located the app in C: drive. But I can find no way of 'executing the exe'. It is constantly popping up when I'm using anything on the desktop. This is a real nuisance for me though I'm sure many may need it.

I have been fighting printing problems with IE9 for a few days. I cannot print web pages to either my printer or create a PDF using Acrobat Standard or using Cute PDF. Printing works fine with Word, Excel and other programs but the attempts to print web pages results in a blank page except for a header line & footer line.

I have 2 unusual file folders at the root of my C: drive. The names of both are alphanumeric gibberish,like:af216ca03f1720edf1e7a15b650cbd63One of the items contained therein is identified as a "Windows Installer Patch. There are numerous subfolders labeled "1042" , "1043", et. seq. Both folders are locked and i can't access any of the content even with Administrator's priveleges. These certainly look like leftovers of some kind that should be discarded.

After several days with a very patient and through BleepingComputer Volunteer, I believe my computer is malware-free. However, my computer itself still seems to be having issues. None of these issues occurred prior to the infection. Following the removal of some malware [URL], I have not been able to enable my Server Service in Windows 7. I was advised to post this here. This means I cannot share files, use bonjour services, vnc etc. I have encountered Error 1068: The dependency or group failed when I enabled the server service in services.msc.
I have already tried the following (and none worked):
- Enabling in safe mode
- Enabling all startup services in msconfig
- Modifying the registries in folders: Ndisuio, EapHost, and Dhcp (with instructions specified on another site)
- Checking the firewall.

I'm sending this from safe mode! I have been getting assisted with this since before the Holidays. I was sent to the Windows 7 forum to get some insight on why my CPU usage was clocking 100% no matter what I did. I ran several scans and combofixes and nothing seemed to work. I ran Malewarebytes and removed the items and explorer.exe will not run.

I went to uninstall this toolbar after discovering it in my Add/Remove Programs list, however, Ad-Aware's Ad-Watch prevented me from doing so because of the Trojan it detected. Any advice on making it so I can uninstall it, then clean it out using my Anti-Malware tools?

Sometimes when I move a file to the recycle bin or to another location (drag and drop), the file has moved but the icon remains anchored in the original location and does not appear in the destination location. When I restart the computer, the files and icons appear in the destination location.
Similarly, when I download a file to the desktop, the icon does not appear untill I restart the computer.

In the process, my sound has completely gone. There is no symbol on the taskbar, and the pc doesn't seem to even recognise the speakers to be there, although i think it recognises the sound card. Briefly challenged this before when i had time, and tried to download a driver update/replacement, but this wouldn't work.Any ideas on how to get the sound back? (the same also happened to my webcam over a year ago, but im not so bothered about that, but the lack of sound is frustrating at the best of times)if s the original thread when i lost the sound, and you can see from my posts where i lost it.
