Will 7 Work With Nvidia And ATI PCIe Cards Together ?
Aug 16, 2009
I have a XFX GeForce 9800 GT installed on my Asus P5N-E in one of my two PCIex16 slots, I also have a HD 4350 ATI Radion that I would like to install so I can use the hdmi output to my receiver. I have to hold off on getting a HTPC for a bit.
Seems I am not having much luck with graphics drivers in windows 7.
On my test box which currently runs the RC build of windows 7. I decided to install the latest stable version of the nvidia drivers, since my production pc also uses nvidia I wanted to test it prior to installing windows 7 on my production pc.
The driver that was shipped with the RC build is stable enough, no problems with it. I installed the driver from nvidia's website and noticed problems immediatly.
If I browse a website that has animated flash and also if I move the mouse pointer around then the entire screen flickers, sometimes just the flash flickers.
If I downgrade the driver the problem goes away, upgrade the driver the problem comes back.
Has anyone else suffered from screen flickering when using internet explorer with flash content on windows 7?
I am hoping this is a RC bug that does not exist in the RTM build.
The card in question is a pcie 7600GT, supported by nvidia in windows 7.
I have a UAD Quad PCIe card (A card for music making, not a soundcard tho), which my computer can't find.It has a LED light that indictates that it's getting power from the computer and so on.
System:
Windows 7 32bit Proffesional Motherboard: Asus M4N68T CPU: AMD Phenom 3Ghz (4x) RAM: 4 GB Graphics: NVidia GeForce 8600 GT
It is possible to run ATI and nVidia cards together in Win 7? Because of nVidia PhysX. I know this was't possible on Vista's but I heard rumors that this is possible now.
I'm after a list of Sound cards that people absolutely know work in Windows 7 (beta build 7000) and have drivers that support them which also are compatible with Windows 7.
List of Sound Cards and Drivers that work:
-Creative Sound Blaster Audigy 4 (Drivers Located here)
-M-Audio's Delta 1010 LT soundcard with drivers made for Vista SP1, with Windows 7's compatibility program (All Delta series may work with Vista SP1)
-Asus Xonar D2 sound card works, Recording features may not work in some with some driver software.
-Sound blaster Audigy 2 SE works with the drivers from windows update
-Soundblaster live, only with kxproject drivers. WARNING: The windows update drivers give terrible sound.
i have a question. i am running a quad screen set-up. i have been running windows 7 32-bit. with 2 video cards1 pci-e ati radeon hd 4350 now it was working great in windows 7 32-bit, but ever since i upgraded to windows 7-64 bit. its not working at 100%now i have been reading alot on this forum that alot of people have trouble getting the fx 5200 working. after trying many different drivers i finally was able to get it working. the only catch is that. i had to turn off aero and disable other aero features so it can run with better performance.but even after doing that. the ony problem i have is that videos such as in Internet. run slow seem to lag a little and worse when i put it on full screen.i figure its the card because its so old and its a pci card
i have a nvidia 8400gs gpu and my computer reconizes it and will say its working properly but it wont work ive reimaged, reinstalled drivers ive disabled on board it just wont display graphics.
I would like to know if the last driver for Windows XP made by NVidia for an (AGP) Quadro2 Pro will work on Windows 7. On Dell Workstation 340. I searched this forum and found a thread of a person that said it worked but he didn't said if it worked 100%, as in 2d acceleration, 3d support (OpenGL), etc.. Already contacted NVidiia but their customer service uses the same public search engine so it may be outdated information.
I have a Nvidia 7300 GS graphics card, and the drivers were installed etc. I was using it with the white plug cable for HD/DVI for almost a year. Last week, I took the fan off of my pc to clean off the dust and put it back.
After that, the screen wouldn't come on. So to test things I did the following:
1. Tested another pc with the screen - Success
2. Tested another Pc with the graphics card : Success
3. Bought a normal VGA cable (blue plug) - Semi Successful
Ok, so I am not sure what has happened to the graphics card. Is it possible that the HD/DVI slot on the card itself could have blown due to static? The Normal VGA slot on the graphics card works fine. I am using an older box screen with this pc as we speak. But for some reason when I plug in the LCD screen (Samsung Syncmaster 23000) nothing happens. Yet when I plug the Box screen into the VGA slot, the box screen works fine and boots up as normal. But the flatscreen refuses to.
I have checked the drivers in device manager, and it says that it's working fine.
Also, in control panel, it sees the samsung 7300 Gs, but refuses to save the settings for a preview.
I am planning on finally upgrading to Windows 7, but i want to make sure my graphics card works. It is a nvidia fx5500, and i heard that there were problems with it giving BSOD and such. Can i just use windows update stuff to download the drivers and then it works, or do i have to download the vista drivers and then install them in compatibility mode, or will it give me a BSOD?
nvidia control panel shows 2nd monitor as vga but is dvi and doesnt work it recognizes otherwise as fine in the windows settings and nvidia control panel it got reset ? after I woke it up from sleep how do i force it back?
I have a Foxconn A7DA-S motherboard that has 2 PCIE x16 slots. They each run at x8 if I use Crossfire.
My question is, does it matter which slot I put my single radeon 5770 card in? If I install the card in 2nd slot instead of the 1st slot, will it still run at x16 as long as I don't use crossfire?
I ask this because I am trying to make room for a PCIE x1 tv tuner card.
I'm trying to install the Sapphire ATI Radeon X1800 XT graphics card, however, when I place it in the PCIe slot, I don't get any video. The card only has two DVI outputs. The mother board is a Gigabyte ga-k8n51gmf-9 with an Nvidia 6100 integrated graphics. I can get a signal with VGA off the on board graphics, and I disable it, then try and install the new card and I don't get any signal from either the card, or the VGA output (Integrated). When I take the card out, I get a signal from the VGA again...Also, the CMOS battery had to be replaced. I'm wondering what settings need to be changed. Its an Award BIOS F7.
I am looking for a radio tuner card that is windows 7 compatable that can tune or record AM radio bandwidth also if it can detect other bandwidth that would be an added bonus
I asked yesterday about running my graphics card from the second PCIe slot for purely visual reasons after deciding that the speed decrease would be negligible if any. I tried to start the computer with the video card in the second PCIe slot (PCIe 3.0, 8x), but I got no video signal to my screen with both the motherboard output and the video card output. Is it actually possible to run a single graphics card out of a PCIe slot which isn't the primary one?
I need to replace my wireless adapter in my laptop. My current card is an Intel Wifi link 5100 agn, which is a PCI express half mini card. How can I tell which replacement card will be compatible? My computer is: Dell Studio 1555 Windows 7 Home Premium x64
ive been revieving some stutter noticibly when playing and form of video or audio and it has been getting worse as of late. Overall performance has dropped as well.Ive tried using Latency Checker and Latencymon and Realtek Ethernet Diagnostics Utility to try and diagnose the problem and the closest thing ive come to is that it has something to do with 'Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller' as when I disable it the stutter appears to vanish and latency readings drop however I need that to connect to the internet so keeping it removed is not really an option.I have tried using a variety of drivers and methods from this forum and others and none have come to be of any use as of yet. I am having an intermittent problem with my network connection dropping out for no apparent reason. When it drops, I still see the lights blinking on the NIC card, but cannot pass packets even to the router.Windows does not report the connection or the cable as disconnected when this problem is occurring. The problem will persist until I disconnect and reconnect the CAT-5e wire, or disable and re-enable the NIC.As soon as I do one of those 2 things, connectivity immediately returns (and works for another hour or so).I am running a legitimate copy of Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit on an HP Pavilion. All of the latest Windows updates and the latest firmware drivers are installed. My ethernet connection is a wired Local Area Connection with a static IP address, gateway and DNS.The IP address, gateway and DNS settings are accurate and work for several other computers here.
The Network Interface Card is a Realtek PCIe FE Family Controller (VEN_10EC / DEV_8136 / REV_05).NIC Power Management, Energy Efficient Ethernet, and Link Down Power Saving are all turned off.On the NIC, ARP/Large Send/IPv4,TCP,UDP Checksum/NS Offload, Flow Control, and are all on.Receive Buffer Size on the NIC is 64Kb (512 buffers). Receive Side Scaling on. 128 Transmit Buffers.Interrupt Moderation is turned on. Magic Packet features are turned off. Optimal Performance enabled. [code[
This is my first time building a computer and after i put all the parts together it worked fine my the only problem im facing right now is im not sure if my network card support wireless connection(Please read the attachment) if it can please teach me how to fix this problem. I got motherboard: Asus m2n-mx se plus. Video Card : nVIDIA nForce 6150SE (6100-430), Onboard Audio : nVIDIA MCP61 , D-Link DFE-520TX PCI Fast Ethernet Adapter .
My Motherboard comes with Vista drivers, but I heard that even that are creating problems for video and audio. Should I download any specific drivers beforehand?
I was having a problem with dual monitor using 7127 build. But only when I use newest NVIDIA drivers. My tv just flashes a few times, and I can see that fish a couple of times, but then it just goes to like no signal. If I use default drivers which are installed on windows install, then it works fine, but then I dont have NVIDIA control panel and some other features.
My video card is GF 8800GTS 650M 512MB DDR3 DUAL DVI TV PCIE. I would like to know if anyone else is having this problem and If it has been fixed in the newest build, so I could be arsed to do a clean install.
I'm a system builder but not too well versed in networking yet.New apartment, new ISP, new router, new adapter?

I have Dell Latitude E6410 with PC Card Bus, StLab USB 3.0 PCIe card connected with StLab PC CardBus/PCIe adapter. OS is Windows 7. USB 3.0 card do not want to work (system do not find it - no USB 3.0 controller). Other PC Ie cards (modem ...) work with this adapter and USB 3.0 card works in other notebooks with PC Ie bus (without adapter). Is it possible that the card and adapter (from the same producer) are not compatible?
I have two 9500GT video cards one id Evga and one is BFG they are both 1GB DDR2. I have looked into it but you experts will know. I think it's possible to set up a crossfire configuration. It might not be worth doing but i would mostly do it for fun and to see if I can get it working. My current mobo supports it and would like to play with it.
Is it possible with the same GPU but different companies and possibly slightly different specs on the rest of the card? I thought if it the same GPU you could do it.
Also you might know if I can make a USB install flash drive with professional and use it to install home premium or ultimate as long as I have the licence keys?
i just installed the latest build of Windows 7 (build 7100). and there are a few problems with my graphics options. There are 2 systems that i tried this on and both are having the same problem. The first setup has a Ati Radeon X1650 by MSI, and the drivers install, signed by WDDM. Now the monitor/tv that i am using is a 42inch LCD TV, and has the 1920x1080 resolution, that is its native resolution. Windows 7, supports the resolution and has it as the recommended resolution, however, when i select it, my monitor says "mode not supported" this is the same problem i have with the HD2600XT card from ATI.
Both of these cards work in Vista Ultimate, Vista Home Premium, Vista Business, and XP Pro SP3 and XP Home SP3, and even tried Server 2008 and server 2003. all of those OS's work with the native resolution on the monitor except the Windows 7 builds. anyone have an idea why this would be??
also, for the HD2600XT i did install the latest ati driver 9-4, and nothing is fixed. right now i am running it at 1280x768, but its skewed.
if anyone has any info on this it would be great, as i have tried everything.
i have also tried installing the 9-3 drivers on both cards, manually and using the installs. the manual way was to unzip the driver package and in device manager install the drivers myself.
The one system i have plugged into it now is a Shuttle Barebone SG31G2B, 4 GB of ddr2/800 ram, quad core q6600 2.4ghz, and the hd 2600xt.
