View 2 RepliesI have a Dell Studio XPS M1330 Laptop, has NVIDIA motherboard. I think ever since I purchased the PC this problem has occurred.Problem: NVIDIA nForce 10/100/1000 Mbps Ethernet card will only detect an ethernet cable when I restart. The minute I unplug it, it will not detect it if I plug it back in. I have searched high and low for a solution but have not been able to find one that works. I have disabled the sleep setting on the device and made sure the computer is not allowed to turn off device to save power.Drivers are updated.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI had this same issue on the RC but am now getting it on the retail.
Windows 7 Pro x64
Asus P5N32-E SLI with nFocrce 680i chipset
On RC, if i installed the nForce driver package then my ethernet would randomly fallover under high network activity (only internet would fall, LAN would remain) To fix i would right click network icon in system tray and select troubleshoot problems, this would then fix it.
But it did it so often that i ended up removing the nforce drivers and letting windows 7 use its own driver, after which i never had a problem again.
Now i'm on retail im getting similar things although now its not happening with high network activity, it just happening randomly.
For retail i'm using the brand new nForce v15.51 drivers and its still randomly killing my network connection, but this time everything is falling over, LAN and net.
Is anyone else seeing this sort of behaviour when using the nvidia nForce driver package?
Its really irritating and i'm very suprised nVidia have still not fixed such a glaring bug.
I just formatted/installed Windows 7 Home Premium 64. I have, as the topicsuggests:Nvidia nForce 680i SLI motherboardI downloaded the drivers from Nvidia's web site for the Win_7_64 drivers for this motherboard, but it will not allow me to install the Ethernet drivers when installing the WHQL download.Has anyone else had this problem? Any idea of how to get my PC back on the intarwebz?t: After looking through the .exe with all of the motherboard drivers, I've found that they do include an Ethernet driver, but during the installation, I only have the option of installing the 'Nvidia Storage Driver', none of the other components are even available to be installed.

When I start up my computer (Windows 7 Ultimate (not the beta)) My Internet connection thing says it can't connect because I'm trying to link to multiple networks. Well, that would make sense... if I were using a wireless network. I'm using a network cable to router and cannot access my own network. But even that's not the problem. I don't care about my network. I just want to connect to the Internet.
Well, to get a quick fix I must disable my network device, and re-enable it. Then it acts as if there was never a problem.
Today, before I did that I wanted to see what the problem was, so I opened the status of my network connection. I am receiving all kinds of bytes but not sending any. So then I disable and refresh my network connection and it all works.
I fixed this in the beta, but forgot what to do now that it's been 3 months. Can anyone help?
Upgraded from Vista to Windows 7. After installation Nvidia nforce Networking Controller stopped working. It is recognized under Device Manager but gives ' device cannot start. (Code 10)'
It's a Compaq Presario f755us with Nvidia chipset Nforce 560 and Southbridge Nforce 560. I've tried several different drivers as well as the drivers for Nforce 560 on Nvidia's website(NVIDIA DRIVERS 15.23 WHQL) however all have been ineffective. Installed the windows vista 32 bit versions of all drivers (also tried two xp drivers).
I have a problem with my Internet connection on Windows 7 x64 build 7600. My Internet connection is dropping randomly almost every day. I have an Asus M3N H/HDMI motherboard with NVIDIA nForce Network Adapter. I tried numerous drivers (even drivers for Vista x64), disabling IPv6 (with the DisabledComponents registry entry), disabling Receive Side Scaling and many other possible solutions with no luck. I have a high-speed Internet connection through LAN. My IPs are set by the DHCP but I don't have access to the Internet even when the IPs are configured correctly.
Sometimes, the DHCP allocates strange IPs like 169.xxx. or 192.168.xxx. , my default being 89.47.212.250 for my IP and 89.47.212.1 for the default gateway. The strange thing is that the connection can work for like 9-12 hours without any drop and the next day I don't have access right after I turn on my PC and it stays down for random periods of time (10 minutes, 30 minutes or hours). Also, if i have Internet access and I disable and enable the adapter the connection is lost but my IPs and DNS are fine.
I've uploaded a printscreen with the ipconfig /all command. Hope someone else had a similar problem and solved it.
NVIDIA nForce system management controller has a yellow sign on the icon. When I startup my computer, a message pops up in the task bar called Driver Installation (or something similar). It keeps loading, but then it says that it failed, and when I click on it, the driver that Windows was trying to install was:NVIDIA nForce System management controller. There is also a red X on the network tray icon on the taskbar, like this: This is not my desktop, but this is an example of how the icon looks like. ONLY the icon, as I said I can't connect nowhere, wireless doesn't detect anything, and wired network doesn't work either, and the icon with the red x is always there.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI have a HP pavilion dv9917cl laptop. Nvidia Geforce 7150M/630M
Integrated ethernet adapter, Nforce 630M.
Updated to Windows 7 32-bit from Vista 32-bit, custom (start from scratch) install.
Initially my ethernet adapter showed up in Device Manager as Nforce Networking Controller, not working properly with a code 10 error. Windows update provided a chipset download, where I manually picked out and installed the ethernet adapter driver (Browse for driver -> let me manual pick -> Have disk -> )
So now in Device Manager my ethernet adapter shows up fine, wired LAN connection shows up in Network Connections etc.
EXCEPT, now no matter what I always get "No Network Access" or "No Internet Access" no matter where I plug in my ethernet cable. Of further interest is this: my IP, DNS, DHCP information all shows up under "details" from the LAN wired connection properties, but My physical address is 00-00-00-00-00-00.
Wireless is working 100% okay. I need to be able to use wired, however, for a number of reasons.
I have a compaq presario V3000 (mine is a V3015nr), When I bought it, it had windows xp and the ethernet and wireless connection worked well, then, I decided to upgrade it to win 7, but then, the drivers just crashed, I fixed this and everything was working well, but then, this error appeared and since that I'm unable to use wireless connection. I've searached a lot of drivers but all of them are for Windows xp, or windows 7 x64.. Mine is an Windows 7 ultimate x32

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm out of ideas. Tried several different drivers, and settings. Using a fresh install of Windows 7 RC. The drivers all seem to "work", by which I mean Windows 7 has no problem with them, but no driver I've tried will let the card actually talk with anything. It keeps trying to find a DHCP address and always comes up with a 169 address. Even when I specify a static IP it still won't see anything on the network.
DHCP is working for my on board NIC, and this card works in my XP installation on this same PC.
The driver that seems to "work" the best so far is this: Download HP Intel PRO/1000 Gigabit Driver 13.5.00 Rev.C for Vista64 Driver for Windows Vista64 - Softpedia
With that driver I actually get all of the nifty features in the driver properties page, and I've run all of it's diagnostic tests which all come up green.
Also worth nothing: I had this same problem with Windows 7 Beta.

I would like to know if the last driver for Windows XP made by NVidia for an (AGP) Quadro2 Pro will work on Windows 7. On Dell Workstation 340. I searched this forum and found a thread of a person that said it worked but he didn't said if it worked 100%, as in 2d acceleration, 3d support (OpenGL), etc.. Already contacted NVidiia but their customer service uses the same public search engine so it may be outdated information.

For example, in the OO Writer, the key sequence Ctrl-Home should move the cursor to the top of the doc. This works fine on my older HP XP Pro laptop, but my netbook ignores or doesn't understand it. I have removed OO and reinstalled it, but the problem still occurs. So, I guess I need to figure out if this is a Windows or Open Office issue.
