I am trying to use 2 sets of the insignia NS-NBBAR USB sound bar speakers on my laptop simultaneously. Both Speakers are recognized independently and I can choose one or the other to run, but I can find no way to link them both. Is there any way to set these up to run this way?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a HP G62 series laptop with Realtek HD Audio Manager and an iSymphony NC1 Headphone with a male to male 3.5 mm cord connected to my audio output jack. The jack on my laptop is loose, but I can still hear sound coming from both sides of the headphones. The problem is that the internal speakers still play and the headphones don't show up on my devices menu or in the Realtek HD Audio Manager.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI had an issue recently where I upgraded from OEM Vista x86 to Windows 7 Professional x86. There was very little sound coming from the internal speakers. I also had major BSODs from then, so obviously I was focusing my attention on the BSODs as a priority. That issue has been resolved, however, or, at least, I implemented a workaround - reinstalling Vista. I no longer have BSODs. The audio, however, is still extremely quiet. I've checked the following:
- Went into properties and maximised the 'levels' on everything.
- Went into volume mixer and maxed everything.
- Went into Devmgmt.msc and tried updating drivers - drivers already up-to-date.
I have two internal speakers as well as what I guess is a subwoofer (I'm terrible with hardware - its icon looks like a box server or something. I'm currently at work so I'll upload screenshots when I get home). Only one speaker plays at a time. I can change between the speakers by right clicking and saying "set as default speaker" and that plays sound out of one at a time with no problems, unless I choose the subwoofer(?). Is there a way to make both speakers play at the same time, instead of just using one of them?
I have two audio jacks in the back of my computer. I just bought a headset today and no sound is coming through them and I just want to be able to play sound through the speakers and the headset at the same time. I'm using windows 7.

View 9 Replies View RelatedWhen I attempted to turn it back on after having to cut the power, it wouldn't boot up at all.
After resetting the motherboard by taking out the battery, it did get into windows, I ran a startup repair, it got to a while in, then BSOD'ed. Eventually I managed to pin it down to the memory. I have 2x4GB and 2x2GB.
The PC boots up perfectly when only either of these is in, so it doesn't seem to be a problem with either of these sets.
When both are inserted, I get a blue screen when trying to boot up which points to a dll file in system32. Unfortunately I haven't noted the name down yet.
I have had numerous customers who randomly can't print. Upon looking at their computer, the printer port will be selected on "LPT1" instead of the proper USB or TCP/IP port. I have not been able to find any correlation. This happens on Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7 on both business and residential computers. Originally I had thought that customers must be attempting repairs on their own. However, after 8 years and seeing this same thing happen to people who are afraid to even attempt to fix their own issue I believe that there must be some bug in Windows that causes this printer port to change.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have split my user profile onto a larger mirrored drive using a junction link. This works perfectly. However when viewing my personal folders I see multiple identical icons for favourites, links, my music etc. When I navigate to the actual area everything appears as it should be.If I try to delete one of these identical icons then both icons go to the recycle bin along with the files inside the relevant folder.Please see screen shot. I could recreate my profile and point the new profile at the relevant folders but setting up all my applications again will be a bit of a nightmare that I would like to avoid if possible.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI bought 6 identical win 7 tablet pc's. (Acer Iconia W501) one for each of us in the famliy. They come with a lot of crapware and the initial startup - process and cleaning took forever. Now my neighbor want the same setup. All the computers are exactly identical. Before we had Windows XP machines and by using the cloning software from Easeus I took ,from just one of the pc's, a complete Cartion sector copy to an external USB harddrive. Then using a easeus boot cd on any of my other identical XP machines I could simply clone this single copy back to any of the identical xp machines, and they would work fine. The question is then : Is this possible with Windows 7 home premium machines ? They all have their seperate windows license, so will 6 identical cloned machines be able to work. Can windows "feel" that it is not the original windows it came with, but the system software from its "sister". I am reluctant to just try it out, since none of the new tablets came with a Windows 7 install disc. Once im a through the startup cloning, can I rely on this one copy to be enough for future rescue-clonings ? or do I need to take a clone of each pc?

View 6 Replies View RelatedOn a brand new laptop the user copied some word files over, and they opened on the new computer just fine. Then they copied some more .doc files and they could not open them, so (they claim) they choose word as the default file association (which is fine, except it should not have prompted for that in the first place). After that all the word document shortcuts they created on the desktop changed to a shortcut with IE's 'e' symbol - clicking them flashes up a screen that instantly goes away (ie I assume) and ie's download file dialog then opens. Further, an attempt to open ie acts the same way. Worse, running system restore does the same thing - flash, then ie files downloaded dialog - asking if I want to open one of the files listed (which are the .lnk files to the word documents on the desktop). So short of doing a full system restore, and also short of manually copying the registry files from the last restore point (which I'm not sure is even possible on a windows 7 drive) what can I do to resolve this mess?

I'd like to buy a used version of the same PC model and simply swap the hard drive from mine into the purchased PC.
Will this retain all the programs, settings and files? Or are there some things that are tied to the motherboard or other hardware devices.
I have a Dell XPS M1330 laptop and have recently upgraded to windows 7 professional (32bit) from windows vista. Everything seems to be running smoothly except I can get no sound from the internal laptop speakers. When I plug in external speakers in via the jacks on the front, sound comes through fine, but as soon as I unplug them there is nothing. Headphones also work like this too. Under sounds in device manager, it simply says 'High Definition Audio Device', and I'm not sure if I should be downloading some other drivers?

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have a Creative SB X-Fi Xtreme PCI-Ex, and Logitech Z-5500 5.1 THX speakers. All speakers work; all software, drivers and codecs are up-to-date. Recently I noticed that in the Speaker Setup screen, the test button only results in sound from the left and right front speakers.
I checked because after a VLC update, mkv files no longer played correctly in the 5.1 mode. Music played, but the voices were muted (while no speakers are muted, and all are connected). I have to select "2 front, 2 rear" Audio Device in order to hear the speech as well.
I have the same problem when playing movies in PowerDVD, where I have to select the 2-speakers setting in order to hear all the sound.
Note:
- Previously the test button did sound all 5 speakers
- The test button on the Logitech remote still sounds all 5 speakers
I have Windows 7 Professional, 32 bit.
only my front left and sub and main speaker work and if i put the cords in a different hole then only one will work and i got all of the in the right colour coded hole i have tride everything WHAT DO I DO!

View 3 Replies View RelatedAbout a month after I started using it, the Say the Time clock program I bought stopped launching the management menu when I right click the date/time field in the task tray (notification area).
Therefore, I can't use or edit the program. Neither the touchpad nor the cordless mouse works.
Other than this problem, my computer works great. Every single item that's meant to be right clicked works for me.
Is there a way I can generate a log to show the software manufacturer (Provenio) that it's their problem and not mine? I am a novice user but I can follow instructions. However, I don't want to put my computer at risk if I make an entry error.
I've been using computers for 18 years and I've never had this problem until I bought this software and used it for about a month.
I just wanted a conclusive way of putting the ball back in the manufacturer's court.
I spilt some water on my laptop a few days ago but fortunately it's completely dried out and working perfectly.... apart from this minor (but important) issue.
Problem: the system time does not stay correct. Even after manually updating the BIOS time and also even after manually syncing it with the various servers available under the time options.
Fix: set the internet time sync interval to every minute rather than its default setting? How do I do this?
P.S. This couldn't be a CMOS battery issue surely because even when the system is on and plugged in the system time still deviates from correct. (I assume the CMOS battery is only used when the system is powered off.) If I need it replaced, how does that sit with my Dell hardware warranty?
So I bought a new desktop computer about 2 weeks ago and ever since I got it, it's been freezing (locking) up on me at random times. I currently use Windows 7 64-bit. I put in a new graphics card and new memory sticks just the other day and I got the same freezing problem. It's very random. I can be surfing the web and the next thing you know, the whole thing freezes up. I can't move the mouse. Can't do CTRL ALT DEL. Can't do anything. Seems as if the whole computer locks up. The only way to restart the computer is by manually holding in the power button for a few seconds. So since I replaced graphics card and installed new memory, I was thinking it may be something else causing this.
