Updates For FrontPage 2003 Installed On Windows 7 Home Pre?
Dec 8, 2012
I have just installed my old FP2003 on my HP Laptop running Windows 7 64 bit Home Premium.. I imported and published an old web site and everything seems to be working OK so far. I bought the FP2003 disk in 2005 and used it until 2009.
I have a new laptop with windows 7. I purchased Office 2010 and it is already installed. When installing Frontpage 2003 it wants a version of office so I referred it to the c: drive, but the program didn't seem to see the 2010 office version, so I found my old office 2003 cd and refered it to the CD drive where I put it and it still would not allow me to continue. I have read where people said they have not had any problem installing frontpage on Windows 7, but are they using a new version of office?
New laptop, Windows 7, office 2010 installed, frontpage 2003 doesn't seem to see the office 2010 version on c: so I located my old copy of office 2003 (full version) and put that in the cd drive and pointed it towards that, but that didn't work either. Any suggestions, I am too old and tired to learn a new html program. I have the Windows 7 home version.
I´ve got problems with FP 2003 in Windows 7. They are compatibles? In Start->All Programs browse to the |frontPage icon Right Click, then i choose compatibility with Windows XP SP2 that is the option that FP choose for you and nothing works rigth. I prove with other compatibility options and nothing...I´ve got 2 virtual machines running in Windows 7- 32 bits. They have Office 2010 packet and Frontpage 2003. In one machine i could upload archives to frontpage but i can´t save that archive in FP in that moment, i must save it in another site and later upload at FP again. That is a little problem comparing the problem that i have with the other machine. With the other machine when i try to upload any kind of archive to FP the error is "the server was closed inexperately".
I have FP up and running on a desktop with a Vista OS and Office 2003 but I want the mobility that my laptop offers. When I originally tried to install this same software on my WIN 7 Home Premium laptop it was unable to find a qualifying program. It wasn't seeing the Office 2003 - even with the actual install disk in the CD drive. So, I purchased the upgrade to WIN 7 Ultimate and have installed the Virtual PC with XP Mode thinking I could circumvent the WIN 7 and get FP installed through the virtual OS. I have access to both Office XP for Students and an Enterprise Version of Office Professional 2003.
Every time I try and shut down my computer an explanation mark (!) appears, signifying that Windows need updating. However, once I start the updating process, the process completes after a few minutes with the following message "Some updates were not installed".
I had three operating systems in my computer: Ubunt, Win XP and Win Server 2003. Grub was the booting program, that offers you go to Windows loader. When I selected this, I could choose between XP and Server 2003, according to XP boot.ini file.Yesterday I got Windows 7 installed over XP. Everything seemed to be fine. I got back Grub booting with Super Grub. When I boot the computer I choose Windows booting, and now, Windows 7 menu is shown.First options here were:
- Previous Windows version - Windows7
Firtst entry did not work: when you select it the computer just hungs up doing nothing, showing nothing, totally black.I installed EasyBCD and tried to edit boot menu: adding new entry to be autodetected or selecting the drive, but I get just absolutely nothing. When I choose this new entry to be loaded, same result: black screen. These are my curent booting settings:There are a total of 3 entries listed in the bootloader.
Default: Windows 7 Timeout: 15 seconds Boot Drive: C: Entry #1 Name: Versin anterior de Windows BCD ID: {ntldr}
[code]....
I tried also copying a regular boot.ini file (see below) into the Server 2003 partition, but all I got with this is, instead a black screen, a message saying that system in " NSTeasyldr1" cannot be loaded by some hardware/software error (no more options but to go back)
Code: [boot loader] timeout=5 default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)WINDOWS [operating systems] multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)WINDOWS="Windows Server 2003, Enterprise" /noexecute=optout /fastdetect As said, I am totally desperated with this, I really need my server 2003 getting launched

I really need to get my Server 2003 running, as that is working platform (need it for my job).I had three operating systems in my computer: Ubunt, Win XP and Win Server 2003. Here is my problem I have a 2003 program (Family Tree Journal from Cherry Tree Software) it was last updated in 2003 it's 323bit Is there any way I can run it on Windows 7?
It looks that Win 2003 server can only see Windows XP and Win 7 Ultimate. We like to buy some newer PC but don't want to pay for Business or Ultimate. Is there anyway that Home Premium can connect to Server 2003
I'm using MS Office 2003 SP3 with Windows Home Premium 64-bit, and I've noticed that both Excel and Word crash a lot. Certain keystroke combinations result in this more than others - e.g. Ctrl+V or Ctrl+C between cells in Excel.I think this problem occurs for me on every 2 out of 3 Excel session, so it is very very frequent.

Ive just formatted my hd and reinstalled windows 7 ultimate 32bit onto it. This went on fine with no problems. however, when i went on the net i initially found that i couldnt download the adobe flash player as it comes up with "actionlist not found". Also when viewing websites it keeps saying "certificate error" meaning im having to click "show blocked content" on every site i visit! The smart screen filter says its temporarily unavailiable but has been for several days now and not chamnged. And finally, i went into the updates section, tried to search for new updates as i thought this may be the problem, and it come up with "Errors found Code 80072F8F"
When I restart my computer I get the notification that "Windows Has Installed New Updates. Your Computer was Restarted to Finish Installing Updates". AFAICT the only updates installed in the last two plus weeks have been MSE definition updates. The last real updates were installed on 11 April. Even though I do not restart my computer often I am sure this only started recently. It has done it for four restarts in the last 24 hours.
i have 14 updates that have downloaded but did not install. i have tried looking for a way to manually download them but i am having no luck. what do i do?
My computer was built by CyperPowerPC a year ago. Have had zero problems with it until some updates were automatically put in a month or so ago. After the install, my pc still was showing that I was connnected to the internet, except my browser (firefox) would not load any pages.
I restored the system back to a previous point to fix this. But have since restarted my machine and the problem came back (didn't realize the updates got installed automatically on reboot). My question is what do I do as a permanant fix in lieu of system restore? I think the updates causing the problem are related to security reasons. I ran anti malware and it found and deleted 2 things but still no help.
I think there were 20 or so updates that got installed, how do I know which is the problem? (if it is the updates at all). I can get more info tonight (ie specific update names) if needed.
Installed a new hard drive and did a clean install of windows 7 on it. Installed the the drivers from the recovery cd and I get the message " windows update cannot currently check for updates because the service is not running".
Why Windows won't apply my updates. I'm running Windows 7 Pro 64 bit. I attempt to install my updates but after refreshing the Windows Update program it says they installed successfully but is still offering the the same updates. I've ran Microsoft FixYa from their website to no avail. The updates giving me problems are:
Security Update for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems (KB2676562) Security Update for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems (KB2709715) Update for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems (KB2679255)
Yesterday, I got a balloon notification saying that there were some Windows Updates available. I like to keep my PC up-to-date, and since I wasn't in the middle of anything urgent I had my Windows 7 32-bit PC download and install them. WU asked to reboot my computer, so I got to a stopping point and clicked reboot. When I rebooted my PC, my 2nd monitor stopped working and wouldn't detect. So I downloaded installed the latest drivers and restarted, nothing. Tried rolling back to a restore point before the updates, nothing. Uninstalled the video card and rebooted, nothing.
I have an ATI Raedon 3600 Series video card, installed into a Dell Optiplex 360, running 2 Dell 19" LCD monitors. Nothing super fancy or extravagant going on hereI am a bit at a loss. I was going to maybe take out the video card and try reinstalling it physically and "softwarically". But I do not think that will aIt was working fine for months, and so I am guessing it has something to do with the Windows Updates that were installed.
I have Windows 7 Ultimate and have finally found that if you can get Frontpage 2003 and get it to update this version 11.8164.8221 SP3 it works fine. I have been use to using Frontpage 2002 with xp for years. This is what I've found out to work. Get Frontpage 2003 to update to version 11.8164.8221 SP3.
Just found out Win 7 SP1 was not auto-installed in a netbook and a home PC today, even though both machines were set up to auto-update. The SP1 was sitting in the Windows update notification. Is this normal? Also after manually installing SP1 (i.e. click OK in Windows update), some old updates started to pop up and asked to be installed. I suppose they were for the SP1. Is this normal?
Any prevailing issues with the latest round of windows updates? Two weeks ago our computer running Windows 7 Premium downloaded an update and received the dreaded black screen on startup. It will now no longer run windows, offer a boot menu or anything. Today our older unit running Vista Home Premium did an auto update and we now have the same issue. Sadly with the O/S and with Microsoft "stellar" customer service. I am running Norton with all the current updates and i am sure it is not a virus.
I use Microsoft Security Essentials and I have the Update Settings set to install Requiremended updates but it's not installing Optional updates for this application, how can I get it to install optional updates?
(Windows 7 Home Premium X64 - Updates all Failing. (8007007e)). This time around, my updates are failing and giving me a new Error which I have not seen before, 800B0100, here is a quick screen of the updates that are failing.
Running Window 7 Starter. I logged off. It says,do not power off or unplug your machine. Installing 1 of 69 updates. It has been like that all day, nothing installs. Need help with this problem.
