View 2 Replies View RelatedYesterday I purchased an AOC 22" monitor to use as an external display for my HP mini 110-3100 netbook via a vga connection. Unfortunately, and even after downloading the required drivers, I can only choose between two resolution settings - 1024x600 and 800x600 - neither one of which come close to using the full potential of the Mini's intel Graphics Media Accelerator (GMA) 3150 graphics card and both of which cause the display on the monitor to look all grainy and webpages to not display properly. If I try to use the 1024x600 the display is so wide it doesn't even fit on the screen. The 800x600 fits, but looks like shit. The netbook is running Windows 7 Starter, could that be the problem? If it's not is there some way to create a custom resolution, one that would work better with the AOC?I'm all out of ideas and about at my wit's end with this thing
View 9 Replies View RelatedI have a pair of speakers that I have tested on other computers and had working on this system until recently it stopped. When I plug the speakers into the back port and turn the volume up max on the speakers itself and the in OS sound options I can faintly hear the audio. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the latest drivers. I have even tried reinstalling windows and it still happening. The front headphone jack will do the same with my head phones as well. Since its still happening after a reinstall im guessing its a hardware issue but I dont understand why my front headphone jack would do the same as well. I did recently remove my power supply and then put it back in.

I've uninstalled drivers and re-installed, I've used DriverMax to find drivers as well, uninstalled and reinstalled. No luck. Thats what's showing in my Device Manager. Volume Control is not muted, and maxed out for volume, and there is movement when clicking on the volume control just no sound.

Here are some screenshots to illustrate my point:

I am trying to add telephone numbers in contacts and for some reason every time I start a number with +123 it would automatically erase + and leave only the 123 and this form is not valid when trying to make a phone call.
View 2 Replies View RelatedFor my custom computer I want it to have all of the proper parts in front (power, reset, LEDS, USB, audio), and I found how to do the switched and LEDs, but not usb ports and audio jacks. where do I get these? I can dissect a USB hub and wire it to a header, but a premade solution would be better.also i'd like to install a SD (and maybe MicroSD) card reader without using a drive bay (and ideally using the same header as the usb ports).
View 9 Replies View RelatedI have this motherboard. and get no audio when I plug in headphones in the front or back ports. I'm running win 7 so there aren't compatible drivers available on asus site, I tried downloading the vista x64 and installing them in compatibility mode but the device manager shows "High Definition Audio Device" so I think it's still using a generic windows driver.
Also tried these: Realtek
Sound>Playback shows Digital Audio (S/PDIF) and sound bars move while playing a mp3 or movie but still no audio. Usually speakers and headphones show up I though? I don't even see them when I choose show disabled devices. I tested usb headphones and got audio but I really need those 3.5 jacks to work.
The audio on this board is: Realtek ALC662, 6-CH High-Definition Audio CODEC
I've also reset the bios, and the mic shows up and receives data when plugged in but still no sound.
I just picked up a set of gaming headphones that use optical audio for its source, but I also have a set of 5.1 surround speakers. I'd like to be able to just use the headphones when I want to without having to go into sound manager and make the optical plug the default audio source every time I want to use them. Is there a way to enable both audio sources at the same time or do I have to switch them every time?
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy daughter can only get dialup connection, which gets expensive. On her old laptop, (now defunct) running XP, with built-in modem, this was no problem; she simply right-clicked the taskbar and chose "disconnect". Her new laptop, running Windows 7, has no modem, so I got a USB one for her - it connects effortlessly, but we can find no way of disconnecting it and carrying on working offline, except by physically unplugging it, which seems a bit inelegant if nothing else.

View 9 Replies View Relatedso i was connected my bass amplifier (from headphone output) to the line in and i recorded the sound with soundbooth. when i played it back it was kind of skipping so i changed the quality to a higher hz and i recorded and it sounded right. when i went to move my amplifier a bit, because cables were all over the place, strange noises started comming out of the speaker. i unplugged the amplifier and restarted the computer and the sound and the realtek icon were gone . so i reinstalled the drivers and the icon was back, but the computer wasnt detecting when i plugged in my speakers or headphones. so i dugg deeper and checked my BIOS and everything was ok. i then went and uninstalled every driver related to sound with device manager and driver sweeper and reinstalled everything in safe mode. i even tried windows recovery and it still didnt work.i'm wondering now do i have to buy a soundcard or is there something else i can try?there aren't any yellow triangles in device manager and the realtek hd audio says that the device is working properly. View 1 Replies View RelatedWhere my BSOD's were not often at all. However these other days in the week, they've been happening every 2-3 days. But that has also dissapeared. Now i BSOD really often, when ever the computer feels like it.This started happening as i said 2 weeks ago when i changed my Motherboard and Processor. Because my old one was a AMD 5200+ Dualcore on a M2N-E Asus AM2.They both died at the same time. So i got myself a ASRock N68-S UCC.But do note that the first four to five days this didnt happen.Everything was fine after changing my hardware. So .. Ive read my minidumps with "whocrashed" and it indicates it is most likely a driver/ software problem and NOT hardware.Yes indeed this is a wall of text, but as a gamer i cannot proceed to enjoy my hobby with a BSOD constantly popping up.My usual temperatures for the CPU are about 35C at idle and 40C - 50C Ingame. Same goes with GPU and just about everything else.I am running on the latest drivers for all of my components, ive tried rolling back to see if the BSOD's dissapear but nope.So im guessing it's not those.I compressed the minidump into a rar file and uploaded it. There is a file also called "Additional info" make sure to read it!It contains important information gathered by "whocrashed".
View 9 Replies View RelatedI'm on windows 7 x64 bit and ive suddenly been getting this error messege alot. Everytime i play TF2, within like 10 minutes of starting the computer BSODs and give me the error messege "a clock interrupt was not received on a secondary processor" its happened like 5 times so its not a fluke. The latest hardware changes i have done:3 weeks ago: bought a pci GPU to run a third monitor and replaced a wireless G adapter with a wireless N adapter 1 week ago: went back to my wireless G adapter because the wireless N adapter SUCKED (who set of headaches...)I only started getting this error messege about 3 days ago. Ive read some forums and people have been saying that it could be a core on the CPU going bad. I'm thinking about replacing my cpu soon, but i dont want to do it then still get the same error messege.
View 4 Replies View Relatedam getting 2 bsod on computer after installing a printer? was working without flaw up until then. first (and most persistent) is the one on the subject line and the other is "problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage"I've attached photos of both with appropriate minidumps for anyone who would like to give this a shot. I already uninstalled any drivers associated with the printer. I had a video card radeon hd 4670 that I uninstalled and actually got to go 4 hours without a reboot, but it happened anyway. I have bitdefender total home security running, but I have for the better part of a year without any trouble.
View 1 Replies View RelatedSo i've been getting very regular blue screens only while playing games, and I thought it was about time to try and fix this as it has been happeneing nearly every 10-15 minutes after playing. (specifically the games played are bf3, arma 2, guild wars 2 and counterstrike global offensive). The error I get on the blue screen is "A clock interrupt was not received on a secondary processor within the allocated time interval" and it's the exact same message every time. Sometimes my computer will lock up and play a horrible sounding noise (sounds a bit like "errrrrrrrttttt") it will mostly BSOD shortly after but sometimes it even comes back. I downloaded blue screen viewer and it seems from there that a driver called "ntoskrnl.exe" is the main culprit, however some other drivers are showing up as the cause, this one (ntoskrnl.exe) seems to be the main one causing it. I've attched the mini dump files for the last 5 blue screens.[CODE]

View 2 Replies View RelatedSo a few days ago this problem started when playing just WoW, My computer would randomly lock up for 5-10 seconds at a time, during this period the sound would loop and the entire computer would lock up. The problem got worse and worse to where most of the time it happens now i have to do a hard reset of my system. It is still isolated to WoW most of the time however i have started getting short lock ups when playing other games, never lasting more than a couple seconds in those. Not sure why this problem just started but here are a few facts:Since it started i have updated my BIOS as well as my Graphics drivers, ive checked for virus and also done a system restore. attached is my JCGRIFF2 File and below is my DXDIAG.[CODE]
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have done a quick search around here to see if I could locate this problem so as not to replicate it but couldn't find anything so I'll fire away.I recently bought Windows 7 Pro 64-bit upgrade, I'm currently running XP Pro 32-bit. I ran into some problems during setup, most of which I managed to fix, but the latest one has me stumped.Basically when the setup reaches the 'expanding Windows files' part of the setup I get a BSOD which reads: Clock interrupt not received on secondary processor within allocated timeframe.[CODE]I suppose I can safely assume that the problem is hardware related, but exactly what is beyond me. I was wondering if it could be to do with the memory not being paired? I have recently replaced my hard drive with a new one as my last XP installation's registry became corrupt beyond the point of salvaging.
View 9 Replies View RelatedRecently I have noticed higher than normal CPU usage from my laptop which I know will reduce battery life, cause higher temperatures and slow the computers performance. The task manager did not tell me too much so I decided to have a look in the Resource Manager.Sure enough under the CPU tab of the Resource Manager there is a process called System Interrupts that has a description of "Deferred Procedure Calls and Interrupt Service Routines" with a average CPU usage of about 30%.I did notice that when I first turn my laptop on and boot in to Windows that this process uses about 1 - 5 % CPU usage and my temperatures stay at about 28 - 32 degrees Celsius.Usually after some time of using the laptop I notice this temprature rises to about 48 - 54 degrees Celsius and when I check the process it is using around 30% CPU usage, usually to resolve this I restart my laptop and everything goes back to normal and the process is back down to 1 - 5 % CPU usage.I done a little research online and found that clean boot of Windows may solve the problem, I did this then re-installed all the required drivers from my system manufacturer, installed Avast Antivirus Pro then done a Windows Update.

View 1 Replies View RelatedOccasionally when i have firefox open and browsing my computer BSOD and i get an error as follows, "a clock interrupt was not received on a secondary processor within the allocated time interval". I have stress tested my CPU to see if it is faulty and it is perfectly fine. The PC is rather new about 3 months and i built it myself.
CPU- intel i5 sandy bridge 3.3 ghz
Motherboard- AsRock z68 Extreme 4
SSD- OCZ agility 120 gb
HDD- Western digital 3tb
GPU- on board graphics (due to power supply not being able to run add on graphic card)
PSU- master cooler 600W
I am not overclocking at all and have never messed with those setting due to the fact that i do not have a water cooler yet.
i have an intel i5 2400 cpu, combined with 4gb ddr3 memory. mobo is dh67bl - revision 3. no gpu installed.power supply is via corsair vx450.problem i been facing:
1) bsod saying that a clock interrupt wasnt recd. [url]
2) bsod saying: page fault in non paging area. couldnt grab a screenshot for this.
3) display randomly goes off for a split second and reappears.. but the color of the panes go blue (i havent chosen blue. my setting is for clear pane.)[url] this error solves itself after random number of hours/mins
4) display vanishes for a split second and reappears, and a small balloon at the bottom right corner prompts that the display driver had stopped working.
5) system plain hangs/stops responding. randomly happens.. but more so while on Internet, or after hrs of it idling, i come back to the comp and try to scroll the content onscreen.sometime it revives from the stuck state as if nothing happened, sometimes i have to give it a cold boot.
6) while reading forums with blue bands.. the blue bands kinda form blurry bars which stretch till the end of the screen. i tried to grab a screenshot but the screenshots were clean. the bands moved as i dragged the image about.
7) also, my comp's display went off one day and within a second came back with a blue-ish hue. it restored itself but again has gone back to blue-ish.
