When I input my SD card, the card reader lights up briefly so its seeing it, but it is not appearing on my computer and when i try and run the extra drives nothing shows up. When I plug my mini sd into the usb port it works, but id like to figure out the actual sd slot for my camera?

When I insert the card into the reader, the green light above the slot turns on as if it recognizes the device, but it doesn't show up. Device Manager says that the driver is installed and working properly, and I have uninstalled it,reinstalled it, and restarted my computer. A system restore isn't really an option because it isn't my computer.

Mar 29, 2012Up until now I've never used the SD Card reader in my laptop, but now I want to use it however it's not showing up under My Computer. I have downloaded the 'MS Hotfix MemoryCard' listed under Software (which only appears for WinXP) here: Support for NP-R519
But when I try to install (Running as Administrator), the command prompt flashes for a second then nothing happens. I've tried restarting anyway in case it had installed but my SD card is still not recognised. I've also tried running in compatibility mode with WinXP SP2 and Vista SP2 - no luck.
This card reader apparently is SDHC compatible, but my card is only 2GB anyway so its 100% compatible. I've done a google search and it seems a lot of people have problems with this one particular device/driver.
Also I've looked under Device Manager but I'm not sure where it would be listed, though I'm confident its actually not listed at all.
So what should I try next? I'd rather get it working than have to buy an adapter.

The ENE Technology website has no links or downloads for their drivers.After clicking Extract Here, there are no 'instructions'. I cannot seem to 'unzip the files. There is also no 'install file' that shows up. I have followed the steps and they are simply not working.I am trying to use my Sony CyberShot camera in my USB ports. I have gone to the Sony website and there was a driver available that would not install.I have tried a lot of methods and cannot seem to get this working!how I can download and install this driver?

I've got the driver file in an 'EXE' file -- can't be bothered to extract driver for 7100 SCAN and load driver.
Just "Uninstall" from your 7077 installation (don't click delete software box').
Now run setup.exe again. (Use Device Manager to "uninstall the driver"
No probs.

Apr 27, 2012On my PC there is a card reader connected. It shows up as 4 different drives when I look at "My Computer" and elsewhere. One of the slots in the reader is for sim cards. When a sim card is inserted a Windows sound is heard and the "Installing Device Driver" window shows up and then another window stating the installation was not successful. Any further action from within windows does not solve the problem. I tried an external card reader and the same negative results. this was tried with 3 different sim cards.

Dec 5, 2011I have some perfectly good USB flash-card readers from Transcend. They work just great on my XP office machine, and on my home machine if I dig out my XP boot drive and boot XP. But Win7 can't use flash in this device. Disk Management shows the correct size but can't show Properties; no drive letter is assigned, and I can't see the drives. They all work just find under XP.
I hesitate to go buy another brand of reader; USB is supposed to be plug-and-play.
