View 2 Replies View RelatedJust moved to Windows 7 from XP. I have everything working - except my USB Mini SD Card reader.I have a Cyclo DS card and have been accessing the card - no problem through XP. The card is formatted as a FAT32 (as required). When I put it in with Windows 7 - it tells me that I have to format it first. The obvious solution is to copy everything using an XP installation and then format.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a Memory card reader and on the windows explorer it shows all the card slots as drives.
Is it possible for it to only show the slot that has media in (dare I say, like a mac)?
The same with my optical drives, is it possible to 'hide' them only showing when they have mounted a an item of optical media?
Or is this just pipe dreams, and only the preserve of unix based systems?
How to open my memory card. When open memory card it says format?
View 4 Replies View Related"One of the USB devices attached to this computer has malfunctioned, and windows does not recognize it. I have 4 USB ports in the back which are connected to my printer, mouse, keyboard and external hard drive which are all functioning fine.
I have two USB ports on the front which are unoccupied. I have an internal memory card reader in this desktop, and that's the only thing I think it can be.
To resolve the problem it is asking me to reconnect the device or replace it. I have disconnected and reconnected th memory card reader while the pc was on, the pc recognizes a device has been disconnected and reconnected, but not what it is.
Under device manager, it says, "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)" I have therefore disabled it for now, but would like to get it working. Do you think this problem wil be fixed automatically in an update sometime.
When I go to driver details, it says "No driver files are required or have been loaded for this device" And when I click on update driver, it says I have the latest driver.
I have a Dell XPS M1710 laptop. I recently installed windows 7 home premium 64bit. I can't seem to get my built in Ricoh 5 in 1 memory card reader to work. I installed the recommended driver using the dell drivers on their website. None of the drives are appearing under my computer, and nothing happens when I insert a memory card. I have tried several 1 and 2gb cards. Both high speed and regular with no success. I went to folder options and unchecked the box to hide empty drives in my computer. I am unable to locate anything under device manager for the Ricoh card reader.A - I want it to display the empty drives in my computer
B - I want it to read my darn memory cards

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a "SanDisk Ultra CompactFlash" 4GB card and an internal card reader (HP desktop). When I insert the card into the reader, the green light above the slot turns on as if it recognizes the device, but it doesn't show up. Device Manager says that the driver is installed and working properly, and I have uninstalled it,reinstalled it, and restarted my computer. A system restore isn't really an option because it isn't my computer.

View 2 Replies View RelatedRecently, when I inserted my phone memory card in my laptop, Windows 7 asks me to format my NOKIA Micro SD card before I could use it. My problem is all my data such as contacts and msgs are all in the m. card and when I insert it back into my phone (Nokia N80) it hangs right away and stops responding as well. When eject the card, ny phone becomes fine. I know enough to understand that the card has some form of virus. Unfornately, I badly need the data in it.
