when i playing games , suddenly the screen appear random color square and the nvidia it's not responding , i try to play the game again after the nvidia it's recovered from the not responding and the games it's play normal again, the question i want ask, it's that mean my VGA already broken / damaged?

When doing this I can use either Nvidia's controls or windows controls (right click desktop>Nvidia Control Panel. When using Nvidia's Control Panel, there are two choices: Use other applications control color settings or Use Nvidia settings. Am I correct in assuming that the former setting is Windows? I always check the button to use Nvidia settings (and then Apply>OK), but when I go back to this screen at a later time, the Other applications control color settings is always selected. I'd like to default to Nvidia.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI went to hop on my computer as it wasn't in standby, just had been sitting there in the on position, I clicked on one of those catchy news articles on Yahoo, and then the screen freaked out and the color pink started to slowly take over my screen. I couldn't move mouse, nor keyboard. A hard reset was the only way out.
Alas, upon reaching the log in screen, I click my name, and await the load. Oh, but my computer wasn't having that, it decided that I will be presented with a big gray screen at first, then I restarted again, a pink screen, upon another restart a black screen. This happens always after I click on my name, and it goes to load the desktop.
So I tried scouring the net, tried every possible little solution I could think of, except most of the people's problems I found weren't like mine, theirs was the blinking mouse and black screen deal, mind doesn't even show a mouse cursor, it just goes into a solid color and freezes. Which a hard reboot is the only way out.

I am currently sitting in safemode with network support, camping this thread. So with that knowledge, safe mode boots up just fine with everything in tact. The things I tried: Check disk, it came back with an error I was only able to get to pop up once, so I don't have an exact phrasing of what it said, but basically something about a software change that couldn't be updated and then went to load up.
I did the memory check and it had no errors Did all the standard checks with my anti-virus software. I will even virtually kiss your face to death. Cause I am a broke college girl with like no money to buy extra hard-drives to backup all my school work. Which is pretty significant considering we're late into the semester.

This NEVER happened with Vista, and happens every time I print with Win 7. I've uninstalled and installed the latest nVidia drivers for my 8600 GT card as per nVidia's instructions. Also re-installed my printer drivers. Anything else I can try?

i have an hp m9340f purchased a couple new nvidea graphics cards when I started getting the noisy fan issue .
Installed windows 7 everything worked great but was having problems with windows media center after I went to a 56k connection so i decided to format start over,
Everytime it installs the drivers for my nvidea graphics card my monitor goes black and has no signal. i tried both dif cards. same problem. I am guessing it is the recommended settings but since I only have one monitor I can't change the settings cause.. can't see to do it, and I have no other monitor to hook to to try.
I can start up in safe mode so any idea's how to fix this issue or change it all to 800 x 600 so i can see when it starts up with new drivers .....

View 7 Replies View RelatedSince the past 6 months i have been using my PC using my onboard graphics which is HD4200 (must be ATI), but prior to that i used to have my GTX 460 installed in this PC but it was on a 32 bit windows 7. On 6th Sept 2012 i re fitted my GTX 460 with the latest drivers of that day ( first i uninstalled the ATI drivers from device manager and then used driver sweeper in safe mode) but soon after installing the GTX in 5 minutes got a BSOD but all i could see was a percentage counter like 0-5-10-15... 100 and a reboot. All this happened in 5 seconds max i guess. I reformatted the PC and this time installed the previous WHQL drivers from nvidia namely 295.xx something but they didnt work either.All i had left to do was to remove the GPU and reinstall the onboard drivers and without my gpu pc worked great.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm not quite sure how to describe the issue(hence the title) but through several diagnosis I think the Graphics on the motherboard is failing. There is no add-on graphics, the system is a HP Pavilion P6310Y, AMD Athlon 2, 6GB of RAM, 1 TB of HDD Space. The onboard Graphics is NVidia GeForce 9100. The PC is about 3-4 years old.What is happening is the screen flickers and then either goes black or becomes a certain color. This happens whenever the PC is doing something involving alot of data(Scan Disk, Virus Scan, Email, Remote Desktop). The harder part is being able to tell whether the computer is crashing or after the graphics fails that the computer is still processing. I'm going go with a no because I have a feeling this could be an overheating issue as well.I have is if it is only the Graphics, would installing a Graphics Card solve the problem? Or will the rest of the motherboard eventually fail also?

No matter what I do it just ends with the line at the top. I have a Sony Vaio VGN-FW285J laptop. The thing ran amazing until just a little while ago. I've read that it might be my graphics card, but if that's the case then why does it show the windows 7 setup stuff when I try to reinstall windows 7. View 5 Replies View Relatedok almost 2 months ago my computer blinked came back on and said a display driver had crashed ans was succsesfully recovered,well from then on out my screen was weird looking with lines ,text would dissapear ,and it was like this for a long time,so the other day my screen blinked and when it came back on my whole screen was multi colored and i could not see my desktop at all, now i read that it was probably just my video card going out so i uninstalled it thinking that .and it did,,for about 10 minutes and it did it again..i know i dont want to hear windows registery error cause i have alot on my comp that i would have to have saved and i shiver at the thought of the price of that...i mean i cannot see anything at all just alot of colors in small thin lines,.this is a home built comp, but it was made by someone who has been makeing comps for years so he knows what he is doing...

Instead of black text, the text is like a gray color. It is so profoundly irritating I cannot stand it! It isnt like this on all websites. For instance, as I am typing this post. View 2 Replies View Relatedone day it suddenly crashed while i was watching a movie. it displayed random patterns on screen. kinda like part of the image from the video is on the screen then a black strip and random colors. I restarted the unit to safe mode and left it on and browsed the net and downloaded some big files for how many hours and nothing happened.. there are also times when windows is still loading with the windows logo on screen, it crashes. there are also times when the login screen is displayed and it crashes. it just crashes randomly! so i tried to reformat it. i deleted the partitions and created a new one, formatted it then fresh installed windows 7 ( my previous OS is windows 7 by the way) and started installing the basic drivers and after a few hours, it crashed again...thinking that the driver installed might not be compatible, i tried another fresh install of windows (same execution, delete partition, create, install OS) and this time, without installing the drivers, it crashed again after a few hours... sometimes it crashes immediately after turning it on from cold start!
