View 1 RepliesI have just installed win7 and I'm getting problems with it.
Whenever I play games after 2-5mins I get a black screen and a pop up saying "display driver windows kernel mode nvlddmkm version 195.62 has stopped responding and has recovered"
This is very annoying because i never had any such issue with win XP
I have the latest Nvidia drivers 195.62 but i can't fix this, i also tried to reinstall drivers in safe mode but I'm still having this issue.
I also ran memtest86+, my RAM has no issues.
Can anyone help me?
When I print to my Epson printer with Photoshop or Lightroom, I get a black screen and the error message above..usually it recovers, but twice I got a blue screen crash. This NEVER happened with Vista, and happens every time I print with Win 7. I've uninstalled and installed the latest nVidia drivers for my 8600 GT card as per nVidia's instructions. Also re-installed my printer drivers. Anything else I can try?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI recently installed windows 7 ultimate and i have some serious issues with it.
at first when i installed it, and it booted for the first time into windows i got the BSOD everytime, only way i got passed it was to boot up with driver certification disabled. i was finally able to boot into windows 7.
First thing i noticed was that everything responded very slow, if i clicked the start button it took up to 5 seconds for it to respond. still everything acts very slow.
so after a while i got the error "display driver nvidia windows kernel mode driver 195.39 stopped responding and has recovered succesfully"
so my screen starts to flicker black, and i get the BSOD once in a while. I can't run the performance test because my system freezes up. i tried upgrading/downgrading nvidia drivers, installed direct x disable aero and so on, ive done alot of research on the web but i can't find any solutions to it.
I just bought a new desktop and within the first hour I had an error message that said, "Display driver has stopped responding and has recovered. Display driver NVIDIA kernel mode driver version 186.75 stopped responding and has successfully restored". What the heck is this? Could this be related to Windows 7 and would anyone happen to have any suggestions?
What happens is the screen goes black for about two seconds then appears with the above error message on the task bar. This happens very randomly, and maybe three to six times a day (had my computer for about two weeks). Also, two times now it has gone black and not come back! Just a little frustrated to say the least.
my pc is not working properly nvidia driver.
View 1 Replies View Relatedok I have no idea on this one and the good news is i can't fix it LOL.
i have an hp m9340f purchased a couple new nvidea graphics cards when I started getting the noisy fan issue .
Installed windows 7 everything worked great but was having problems with windows media center after I went to a 56k connection so i decided to format start over,
Everytime it installs the drivers for my nvidea graphics card my monitor goes black and has no signal. i tried both dif cards. same problem. I am guessing it is the recommended settings but since I only have one monitor I can't change the settings cause.. can't see to do it, and I have no other monitor to hook to to try.
I can start up in safe mode so any idea's how to fix this issue or change it all to 800 x 600 so i can see when it starts up with new drivers .....
when i playing games , suddenly the screen appear random color square and the nvidia it's not responding , i try to play the game again after the nvidia it's recovered from the not responding and the games it's play normal again, the question i want ask, it's that mean my VGA already broken / damaged?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI just recently reinstalled my computer, and have OVERWHELMINGLY updated all there is to update on this Windows 7 machine. After approximately 20 different restarts, hundreds of updates later.. I have this stubborn little popup coming up, telling me that CLMLsvc.exe has stopped responding? So.. what can I do about this? It has something to do with Cyberlink, but I have no idea exactly what it is or what it does. I've never had any problems with it in the past, so as you can imagine, I'm a little baffled by this little problem. It appears to be taking up lots of my memory, and is constantly appearing to run in the background.
View 2 Replies View Relatedrecently i've been getting the same error over a period of anywhere between 10 minutes to an hour and it says display driver nvlddmkm stopped responding and has successfully recovered. it usually happens when watching Internet videos or any videos in general. i also see it sometimes happen on lower end games, but higher end games run fine without it crashing. i recently got a new gfx card that fixed previous crashes as well as the nvlddmkm bsod. the only problem is i've reinstalled the driver many times, tried various ways to reinstall using driver sweeper etc. as well as updated everything from my drivers, chipsets, directx, flash, changing to windows classic, and reinstalling the realtek sound driver
View 9 Replies View RelatedI was recently installed some USB snooping software in order to attempt to reverse engineer a USB driver. Next thing I know, all my USB devices cut out and now Windows 7 refuses to recognise them. As my keyboard and mouse are both USB, I cannot even login to Windows 7 to even start fixing this. Both devices work fine on BIOS and in my dual booted Linux. Is it possible to fix this from my Linux install (I can access the windows 7 partition)? I assume I have managed to mess up the USB drivers, is there any way I can uninstall any drivers that aren't default and let windows reinstall them when I boot back in to windows?

After that I cannot play any video what so ever (game, online video, etc). this is the message: (Display driver stopped responding and has recovered - Display driver NIVIDA Winnows Kernel Driver, Version 285.62 stopped responding and has successfully recovered)

This annoying vista bug persist on my copy of Windows 7 Beta. The screen freezes, goes black, restores - starts showing choppy graphics and frequently gives me a BSOD.
My setup : AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000 Gigabyte GA-M750SLI-DS4 4 Gig RAM Gigabyte GeForce 8600 GT 512Mb w SilentPipe.450W PSU, but I can replace it with a 1kW PSU at any time if needed. This error has been giving me a VERY hard time on vista, SP1 nor any patches nor file swapping didn't help - it is why I've switched to Windows7 - I couldn't get rid of it no matter what - and now it's back, are there any workarounds to this?
I have a dell inspiron 1501 Laptop that came with the vista platform. However, I have upgraded my computer since (and it's been years now as well) to windows 7 ultimate. For months I have been able to use my computer fine with no problems whatsoever pertaining to my Display, but of late, since about 3 months now or so, my computer has been delaying when I am watching movies and now every time I am on it, my display driver keeps on stopping and then displays this message
"DISPLAY DRIVER STOPPED AND HAS RECOVERED"
I get this message I would say almost every 2-5 minutes when I am using my computer. It is getting frustrating because it makes it harder to watch movies, and burn any kind of dvds on my computer.
I recently upgraded to windows 7 from vista to try and solve an issue I have with my video drivers crashing whenever i do something graphically intensive.I opened up a thread on the vista forums here: Video Drivers Crashing - Vista Forums. But it doesn't seem that anyone can help me. I tried all of the basic troubleshooting steps, and have updated all the drivers on my system. The problem I am having is that I upgraded my graphics card recently to an Nvidia 430GT. I have done numerous checks (RAM, CPU, power supply, updated every driver on my system, etc.), and have had the graphics card replaced, but am still receiving the same issue. When I load up video games I will receive the message "Driver nvlddmkm stopped responding and has recovered" at random intervals.Sometimes my system will completely freeze because the drivers won't recover. I contacted nvidia about the drivers and they had me try out a few driver versions (which i had already done), before telling me to get the graphics card replaced.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI am currently having an issue with what I think is my graphics card. When I run online games the game runs for about 2 minutes, crashes and says "display driver AMD has stopped responding and has been repaired." I've googled this problem and none of the solutions that I've found have worked. I've downloaded Microsoft fix it center and it says nothing it wrong. I've tried to update the card but it says it's already updated.
-My graphics card is: AMD Radeon HD 6630
-My computer model is: Sony VIAO SE
I have a fairly fresh install of Windows 7 (< 1 month), because I found a good deal on a SSD I couldnt pass up, and it has been running nice. I mostly use this machine for working and as such used the on-board graphics card of the motherboard (GA-880GM-UD2H), however with the great reviews on Guild Wars 2 I figured I would get back into gaming and bought a XFX Radeon HD 6870 for the occasion. As my Thermaltake TR2-450 would not be sufficient for this FX card I swapped it with a TR2-500 I had on another machine. I can play GW2 for hours at best quality and it works great no slugginess or stuttering at all. However if I start the machine and open up a browser I can within 5 min get 2-3 errors (Display driver amdkmdap stopped responding and has successfully recovered.), and eventually the system will reboot. It is not limited to one browser and has also happened with Windows Live Mail.

I don't get this error in Windows XP, only getting it in Win Vista and Windows 7
I've tried several drivers and even reinstalled Windows 7 but i can't fix this
Sometimes, after having been on for a long time, my screen will go black for a few seconds. It comes back a bit awkwardly, with different parts of the screen appearing separately. Once everything is back, I get a little popup saying that the display driver stopped responding, and has recovered. It's only a minor annoyance, but I'd like to know if there's any way to fix this? In my device manager, it says that I'm missing a video controller, which could be the cause of this.
View 1 Replies View Relatedbut has recovered...is the message i get right after my games freeze for about 5 seconds. My games never crash when this happens, screen flashes then comes back as if nothing happened. I get this maybe 1 or 2 times every three days or so.I get this message when im gaming sometimes after my computer wakes up from sleep mode(only seen it do it once though).I have tried catalyst drivers 9.11, 9.12, and 10.1. It has been doing this ever since i got my computer a month ago. I have the newest drivers for just about everything. In the beginning i would get this issue half a dozen times a day but now its much more rare for some reason. I have had this issue in every single one of my games at least once.

View 3 Replies View Relatedurl...I installed it and started experiencing some serious problems. When i do anything slightly stressful on the system (mostly gaming) the game runs fine but after a few minutes (sometimes seconds) into gaming the screen will freeze, go black, then come back again. I get a pop up that says "Display drivers have stopped working and have recovered". This is extremely aggravating and stressful for me seeing as ive read a few things on this problem and all the trouble shooting ive done has got me no where. Ive tried keeping the system cooler, adjusting the OC, giving the cpu a bit more voltage, updating drivers, and taking the radeon 6450 i had in (with dual graphics enabled). The motherboard i have in here is a Gigabyte A75M-S2V.

View 7 Replies View RelatedAs of late I've been thinking about upgrading to windows 7, simply because I've encountered the dreaded "nvlddmkm driver has stopped responding" message, which leads to a lot of crashes and a lot of f'ing and blinding!!! Correct me if I'm wrong, but what I've read about it is, it's a vista only related issue.
My question is, has anyone else experienced this error? And if so would I be right in thinking that installing windows 7 would eliminate this problem? And also have a less glitchy experience with windows?
I've tried so many fixes without luck, I even read that running 1 x DIMM would solve it, which it didn't..
Is it possible that my system showed me msg that "Display driver stopped responding and has recovered" error just because I did not have SP1 installed? It is Windows 7 64bit and Asus 7770 graphics V2 DC. My video card run normaly in games, but i get that msg when im usin browser. Is it possible that msg is gone just because i installed sp1?
View 9 Replies View RelatedI RMA'd the videocard as a lot of people reccomended, and they told me there was no fault in the videocard, but sent me a new one. Before RMA'ing the card, i reinstalled Windows and still had the issue. What other part should i test? The videocard people said it couldn't be the MB, as it wouldnt display that issue.
