View 6 Replies View Relatedi just played true the new wolfenstein game and i absolutly loved it! so i bought the old one: Return to the castle wolfenstein. tho im having huuge problems whit it.[code] The thing is when i start the game, it instantly shuts down and i get message that WolfSP.exe stopped working. When i try the multiplayer mode the screen just goes gray? i only care about the single player, i know Windows 7 got problems whit punkbuster but i do not care, i just want to play the single player.And yes i got all the newest patches, tryed reinstalling whit no patches, tryed all compatible modes etc. and run as admin.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm still fairly new to windows 7 and i have found a bug or something with mine. I normally have my windows start bar (the bar with all my open windows) set to be transparent. When I close my laptop screen it sets it to hibernation and a good portion of the time when I start it up again my start bar will be a solid light blue color.
It changes the way the windows work and frankly it's annoying! When I restart the computer it goes back to normal but there are times that I can't restart it due to a buggy Art program that won't allow me to save for a while and I'll loose everything. When I go into personalization I try and fix it and even if I change it back to transparent it stays solid until I restart my computer.
I have an Epson Stylus Color 600 (knowing it's an old printer... but I like it)... I had to work really hard to buy a HP laptop with Windows 7 Home Premium..... I also bought a converter cable (parallel to USB). The laptop recognizes de cable, but when I try to add a new printer (using the virtual USB001 port), I can't get the stylus color 600 driver.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm not quite sure how to describe the issue(hence the title) but through several diagnosis I think the Graphics on the motherboard is failing. There is no add-on graphics, the system is a HP Pavilion P6310Y, AMD Athlon 2, 6GB of RAM, 1 TB of HDD Space. The onboard Graphics is NVidia GeForce 9100. The PC is about 3-4 years old.What is happening is the screen flickers and then either goes black or becomes a certain color. This happens whenever the PC is doing something involving alot of data(Scan Disk, Virus Scan, Email, Remote Desktop). The harder part is being able to tell whether the computer is crashing or after the graphics fails that the computer is still processing. I'm going go with a no because I have a feeling this could be an overheating issue as well.I have is if it is only the Graphics, would installing a Graphics Card solve the problem? Or will the rest of the motherboard eventually fail also?

No matter what I do it just ends with the line at the top. I have a Sony Vaio VGN-FW285J laptop. The thing ran amazing until just a little while ago. I've read that it might be my graphics card, but if that's the case then why does it show the windows 7 setup stuff when I try to reinstall windows 7. View 5 Replies View Relatedok almost 2 months ago my computer blinked came back on and said a display driver had crashed ans was succsesfully recovered,well from then on out my screen was weird looking with lines ,text would dissapear ,and it was like this for a long time,so the other day my screen blinked and when it came back on my whole screen was multi colored and i could not see my desktop at all, now i read that it was probably just my video card going out so i uninstalled it thinking that .and it did,,for about 10 minutes and it did it again..i know i dont want to hear windows registery error cause i have alot on my comp that i would have to have saved and i shiver at the thought of the price of that...i mean i cannot see anything at all just alot of colors in small thin lines,.this is a home built comp, but it was made by someone who has been makeing comps for years so he knows what he is doing...

Instead of black text, the text is like a gray color. It is so profoundly irritating I cannot stand it! It isnt like this on all websites. For instance, as I am typing this post. View 1 Replies View Relatedone day it suddenly crashed while i was watching a movie. it displayed random patterns on screen. kinda like part of the image from the video is on the screen then a black strip and random colors. I restarted the unit to safe mode and left it on and browsed the net and downloaded some big files for how many hours and nothing happened.. there are also times when windows is still loading with the windows logo on screen, it crashes. there are also times when the login screen is displayed and it crashes. it just crashes randomly! so i tried to reformat it. i deleted the partitions and created a new one, formatted it then fresh installed windows 7 ( my previous OS is windows 7 by the way) and started installing the basic drivers and after a few hours, it crashed again...thinking that the driver installed might not be compatible, i tried another fresh install of windows (same execution, delete partition, create, install OS) and this time, without installing the drivers, it crashed again after a few hours... sometimes it crashes immediately after turning it on from cold start!

Also sometimes with only one browser window open and sometimes with 15 or more. Happens with both chrome and firefox. Has not happened with other programs as this lapy only gets used for surfing/email/forums etc. Sometimes happens while the computer is sitting idle right after boot. Very strange.

I'm assuming it's a BIOS driver problem, but i'll leave it up to you guys to tell me, you're the experts :P I also tried doing a system restore, but for whatever reason when I try it just says the restore is initializing and it sits on that screen and never does anything. I've left it for about an hour before and still nothing, not real sure what the problem is there either. Right now I'm running the laptop off safe mode with networking and it's working fine, hopefully it's just a driver problem I can fix.
I'm on Windows 7 32bit and let me know if you need any more information.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI just installed Windows 7 64-bit last night, and the installation went without a hitch. I started to install my programs and then things started to get a little hairy. Every once in a while (ranging 3 minutes - 3 hours) my computer will blue screen out with a mention of afd.sys. This usually happens when I try to do something with the network (ex: Skype, Trillian, etc.).
I'm too new to this to know how to read minidumps, so I thought I'd give them to you guys and see how you could help me. I'm up for any suggestions on how to fix this problem. Reformatting is not an issue, as I have time to spare (when I'm not at work). My system specs are up to date in my profile.
