I have been playing runescape for sometime now, and i bought a new computer recently which gives me a BSOD when im playing(of course i should note that it gives it after like a hour and a half of playing...)I should also note that this happens only when i play this specific game, due to the fact that im not turning the computer off when im going to sleep so i can say if it restarts the computer after a BSOD or not.My computer specs:
Pentium(R) Dual-Core CPU E5800 3.20GHZ
Kingston 2x2GB(4 total) 1300MHZ RAM
Windows 7 Ultimate x64
Asus P5G41T-M LX
Nvidia 430GT 1GB GDDR3
HDD 3.5 Hitachi SATA2 500GB 16MB 7200RPM
My PC has been stable since I built it 3 months ago. However recently I have been getting BSODs that only identify the kernel as the application that caused the issue. They state SYSTEM SERVICE EXCEPTION and 0X00000003B as further information. After some searching I realized these are too general to pin down the issue without some experts looking at the minidump files. The only thing I can think of that's different now than before is that before I didn't have Win 7 SP 1 (I had one of those borked installations, had to do the full repair install and now I have windows 7 sp1 installed)
My BSOD appears fairly frequently while i play runescape, or sometimes even before i open runescape. Each time i do an antivirus scan with microsoft secuirity essentials, it finds a trojan, i even read something about java.
stoping with runescape is not an option, for i really like the game..
I'm using a Windows 7 64-bit Laptop that originally had 2GB and I updated it a few months ago to 4 GB so that I could play Runescape. strange thing is that it's still extremely laggy and I don't have a virus and I have even did a factory image restore but nothing seems to work.
My question is, could there be any settings that I am suppose to update along with installing the 4GB?

I've been experiencing regular BSODs now for about 3 months and it is getting worse. Sequence is getting pretty routine. Upon 'cold' boot, system boots fine and I log into Windows and start working. Within about 5-10 minutes, screen freezes with blurred color bars. Upon power off/on, system emits 3 beeps and freezes with black screen. Upon next power off/on, I usually get the prompt to boot in safe mode/etc. Usually after anywhere from 5-8 reboots, the system remains stable unless I leave it in hiberation for extended period of time, in which case it can freeze again.Sometimes, like today, I get BSOD msgs, which I have attached. I've done all sorts of virus scans to no avail
I often get a BSOD of [system_service_exception] 0x0000003B .I use HD 6870 before have a same BSOD.I though it was video card hardware or ATI driver issue. ( I did use DriverSweeper to uninstall the driver and update a new ATI driver still no luck.) So I took the vidoe card out and replace a NVIDIA video card. A few days after, the same Blue screen appear...PS: I still have a ATI driver on my computer but not the new version, because my motherboard chipset need ATI diver to work.(such AMD USB ,RAIDXpert and Promise SATA RAID ) .The driver I installed is form Biostar webside. If I uninstall it, It would case unable to boot , lose all USB port or something.
I am getting the BSOD S_S_E and I'm not sure why. From what I've read it seems to usually be a memory issue or a VGA driver. I have ran the Mem Diag with zero results and ensured that my video crad driver was up to date. I could not get perfmon / report to run. "The parameter is incorrect." is the error I get.
Just upgraded an HP Laptop using HP Windows 7 kit. Everything went smoothly with no errors. However, as soon as logged in and got past the welcome screen, received the blue screen with System_Service_Exception.
Tried everything from Advanced Boot Options including various Safe Modes and Repair Your Computer but none has helped- getting the same blue screen with System_Service_Exception. The furtherst I got was to the desktop for 2 minutes before the same thing happened. I am attaching the latest dmp files for your consideration. I can't afford to do a clean install.
Well, I've got a BSOD a couple of times now and it's really starting to annoy me.It comes a couple of times a week so not every day.I've googled abit and what I've found out was that it's a hardware that's faulty or it's driver.I'll attachprobably all the files you will need tMy current "known" Specs are:Asus Crosshair Formula IV MB2 HDD 256gb/1tb1 sdd 60gbAmd radeon 7970 sapphireCorsair vengeance rams 16 gb, dont know the speed but think atleast 1333mhzCreative x-fi Fatality titanium sound card non-integrated.
I just recently built my new rig and i keep getting blue screens of death!I current have gotten "memory_management 0x00000001a 6 times" and "system_service_exception 0x000000003b once".
I've been getting BSOD's with the POOL_CORRUPTION_IN_FILE_AREA reason and once or twiceMEMORY_MANAGEMENT. I ran memtest86+ and no errors were reported. BlueScreenView shows that it's ntoskrnl.exe causing the crashes. The crashes recently have been happening quicker (1-2 hours) with uTorrent running, and if I load uTorrent after the crash reboot, it crashes almost immediately. In the past, it would crash every couple of days right after clicking on a button in any program.
I get this bsod occaisonally at random times - i just did a fresh install of Windows x64 Ultimate like two or three days ago and it is still happening. When i look at the Bluescreenviewer application it mentions that ntoskrnl.exe has something to do with it. How do i fix this??
I constantly get BSOD while gaming. ive done a memtest, replaced the ram, replaced the video card, ran chkdsk, uninstalled usual suspects avast daemon tools etc., and nothing. the most prevalent error message isDRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL. ive attached a zip with all my dmp files.
I just got a new computer about 2 months ago. I got it so i coukd run Star Wars:The old Republic. The first month went well, with absolutely no problems. Then one time in game i got my first BSOD. Since then i have gotten about 3 more, so i reinstalled windows. That went well for about a week, till today i got another one.ystem SpecsWindows 7 64bitWindows 7 came preinstalled (Computer came with Windows disc also)Computer is 2 months oldI reinstalled Windows 7 1 week ago.
I get random BSOD the only thing in common is the Crash Address: ntoskrnl.exe+7cd40.I have already ran memtest86 for 7 hours which gave no errors (7 Passes) so dont think its a hardware problem. Link to my system
I've been getting this bluescreen error sometimes when watching videos and I can also get it every time I try to install a specific game (it plays music in the background when installing) when clicking the next button after inputting the serial. I think this has something to do with the drivers but am not sure which one. I have updated all of the drivers I can from the Asus page a few months ago. I have checked for newer ones but I can't find any on the manufacturer's page.Laptop Model: Asus N53JQ-XR1 The OS is Win 7x64 OEM.The system is about 2 years old.The OS has not been reinstalled.
I've had 2 bsods and one of them was irql_not_less_or_equal and the second was system service exception. They have this common thing which is ntoskrnl.exe You can see all the info in the rar included.
I am getting BSOD while doing average tasks like web browsing or playing solitaire. I have already done a memtest 86 for 7 passes with no errors, chkdisk, repair files from install disk with no errors found, updated bios, and windows update.
So - downloaded and installed Windows 7 from a memory stick.
Installed apparently ok.
Re-booted - came up with the "popular" NTOSKRNL.exe missing/corrupt error.
Re-copied various files; hal.dll, ntoskrnl.exe etc as directed on various sites - no joy.
Thinking it could be a MBR fault and not being familiar with Vista/Windows 7 I stuck in my old XP install CD to use Fdisk.
With the XP install CD in the drive, Windows 7 boots perfectly! (Doesn't even attempt to load XP install/repair)
Take out CD - NTOSKRNL error.
Once in Windows 7 - everything works fine.
Looking at various other options, came acorss a couple of tips about BCD and bootrec such as: How to use the Bootrec.exe tool in the Windows Recovery Environment to troubleshoot and repair startup issues in Windows
Error message when you start Windows Vista: "The Windows Boot Configuration Data file is missing required information"
Bootrec used to say the only OS was C:Windows.old.00
Ran fixes as above - now says there are no OS installed.
Windows 7 repair console only finds Windows 7 OS
Am starting to go insane.
To summarise:
Recieve NTOSKRNL.exe error when booting up PC
Boots Windows 7 fine with WinXP install disk in drive
I was playing some games today and i got a BSoD.I attached the minidump to the post.I opened it with a debugger tool and it said that ntoskrnl.exe might be at fault.
