Programs Crash After Trying Printing
Jan 18, 2009Every time i try to print something from a program, that program crashes. (Any Office Product, Chrome, Firefox, Paint, etc). Any ideas?

Deny Printing Privileges From Certain Programs?
May 31, 2012She was saying that the person who's computer I was replacing uses there shared HP Deskjet 6540 to print most documents when really it should only be used to print one type: 'lables.docx.'
So this got me wondering whether it were possible or not to deny printing rights to the 6540 from applications such as Outlook - whilst keeping them in word and program 'x' but also allowing Outlook to print to other printers in the office.
Now I think even before asking that this is probably not possible but I need to know either way.
All 32bit Programs Crash?
Apr 19, 2012I cant run any 32bit exe. I can run sfc /scannow and I can run any virus software. When my computer boots it says that all my startup 32 bit programs have crashed and I cant open anything unless it is 64 bit. Again I cant run virus software unless it is only 64 bit and I cant run sfc /scannow. It stops at 10%. want to do a system restore or factory reset both of which I dont think will fix this anyway and I dont have the windows 7 cd.

Now today one of my favourite games Counter Strike : Source has started having the same problem.When starting Windows Live Messenger i am given the Windows Live Messenger has stopped working.. then it closes.When starting WeGame it usually crashes when i log in, with the same error.When i start Counter Strike : Source it says Hl2.exe has stopped working and needs to close.I have tried running as an administrator, in compatablility mode, restarting computer, reinstalling all 3 programs, using CCleaner and Windows Cleaner, closing other applications, disabling antivirus, scanning for viruses and many other things.

EDIT: Now it's doing it constantly, and after some time, mouse and keyboard wont respond.also, when the crash starts, it sounds like usb being plugged in.

Nov 20, 2012example: Playing Diablo III while talking with friends on mumble. The game suddenly freezes and I wait to see if it shoud come back, and it never does.So I press Ctrl-Alt-Del to close the program, and the status says "Not responding" I close the program and wait like 5-10 sec until I can see it's closed in "task manager" and i try to start the program again.This happens, the cursor shows that it's "thinking" for like 2-3 sec, then nothing happens. I am trying to repair a 1.5 year-old HP Pavilion running Windows 7 Home Premium 64. This machine is used as the main office computer in a small doctor's office. In spite of my warnings, anti-virus software was not installed until it was too lateThere was a major issue about seven months ago that required another company to repairThe problem is explorer.exe will not run. Double-clicking a shortcut on the desktop, clicking the text name of a program from the Start menu, and even in the cmd results in the same response, a dialog box pops up stating windows explorer has stopped working.
windows is checking for a solution to the problem. followed by another box stating windows explorer is restarting. But the requested application never starts. I have run the Ultimate Boot CD 4 Win, replaced the hard drive and cloned all data, run numerous registry scans, malware scans and antivirus scans. Initially removing over 1500 virus/malware hits and over 1400 registry errors. But the main problem persists, explorer.exe won't open programs.
Printer Stopped Printing, Get Error Message "error - Printing"
Feb 27, 2012System is HP desktop running W7-64 bit. Printer is HP Photosmart 7350, old but working perfectly until 2 days ago. Driver is Deskjet 5550 (closest one for this printer).
I've reinstalled the driver, plugged and unplugged the printer, and tried to print from different programs. As soon as the print button is selected the error condition shows in the Devices & Printers section. This happens whether the printer is turned on or not.
What can I do to get the printer running again?

Jun 10, 2012My office printer, HP Color Laserjet CM6040mfp, prints nicely when I just print "normally" from Word or Excel. When I try to automatize it with a .bat file, it doesn't work. I have x64 Windows 7. Another computer has x86 Windows 7 and it works nicely.
The error I receive is: "Operation could not be completed (error 0x00000705). Windows cannot locate a suitable printer driver.Contact your administrator for help locating and installing a suitable driver." So what do I need to install?The actual thing I'm trying to do is to print out test pages from several printers using a VBA script. This CM6040mfp happens to be the closest one to my room so that's the one I begin with.

Jan 3, 2010I have been struggling for days to find a solution with an annoying printing problem on my new Windows 7 (64bit) HP Laptop. I can not print from my HP Laptop to any printers on my older XP Desktop wirelessly over my home network. I can open files from my shared folders on my XP desktop from my Windows 7 Laptop, etc. I can see all of the printers when I "Add a Printer" - but it tells me that:
"Windows can't find a driver for Canon iP4300 on the network."
I cannot find a driver manually and have installed a Windows 7 compatible driver for the iP4300 on my Laptop, etc. - no luck.
When I connect the same XP Printer directly to my Laptop by USB cable - it prints find. But, I can't seem to find a solution to my wireless problem.

Certain things I do on my computer take a very long time, such as printing. This all started about a week or so ago. Each step of the printing process (choosing a printer, changing print settings, sending the print job) now take 5-10 minutes when they used to be nearly instantaneous.
I've noticed slowness for some other functions as well (of course, I can't remember specifics at the moment) but it is most pronounced when printing (from any program). It *might* have started happening after either the Windows update or Adobe update that came out recently. At one point, I was giving a presentation and my computer completely froze for all local functions except switching tabs. The Task Manager showed nothing unusual and one of the tabs had Citrix loaded and I was able to use that just fine.I have a Dell Latitude E6410 running Windows 7. At the above linked thread I ran several scans that all came back negative for viruses or malware, so there must be some setting out of whack or another conflict.
Problem Remote Printing From IE9

1 desktop running Windows XP - no problems
1 Virgin Router
I HP Wireless printer
1 Laptop running Windows 7.
When running Word, the laptop experiences no problems priting remotely. However, when running IE89 which includes e-mail, the laptop cannot print remotely, but works fine if connected through the USB port.
Script Error When Printing In Ie9 32 Bit
Apr 4, 2011I'm running Windows 7 Professional 64 bit, SP1. My hardware supports hardware rendering. I get a script error when trying to print in IE9 32 bit, and in Windows Live Mail. IE9 64 bit printing works fine. Also, if I select File-->Page Setup while in IE9 32 bit, and check OK without changing anything, printing works as long as that instance of IE9 is open. If I close it, and reopen, the same script error occurs until I do the File-->Page Setup again. Printing in Live Mail never works. I have reregistered ole32.dll and oleaut32.dll.

Feb 8, 2009Okay, so the included Windows 7 driver works but it doesn't have the scan drivers included. I have downloaded the Vista x64 driver (which does work in Vista 64 FWIW) but I can't get it to install properly. It gets to the screen where it asks how I'm connecting, I say "Network" and it just gets hung there in an endless cycle.
If I can't get this to work, I'm gonna have to down-grade back to Vista - and I don't want to!

Oct 15, 2010So, just a question more out of curiosity than anything, as I don't expect a solution (I know, pessamistic...)It's time to renew my passport and the application form is a protected pdf (no modification, no comments - only printing). After wasting a day looking for restriction decryptors, I just went with making a blank document to "double-print" ontop of the application form.The tree-huggers are going to love this, but after wasting about 20 pages (rotation, page order, orientation etc...) and a lot of time I now have it sorted, but my question is: Does anyone know of an app to overlay print jobs instead of manually inserting paper back into the printer tray?
