I have two printers USB connected to my Dell Vostro running Win 7 Pro 64 bit. I also print to PDFs, All printing operations default to A4 page selection. How can I change this default selection?

I'm gettingthe same "out of memory" error message on Outlook 2007 running under Windows 7 (64 bit). Reading this thread, I checked my RAM and Page File Size and they are both ~6G... Should I REALLY increase my Page file size to 12G?
View 8 Replies View RelatedAfter some searching I located where to create a custom Paper size in the printer setup.However, when I proceed to scan (via the document feeder, not the flatbed), I still cannot get the newly defined custom Paper Size to appear in the pre-defined list of page-sizes that are available - and that is regardless of which program I'm using - the 'aquire image' from Microsoft Photo Premium, the import via Microsoft Live, or the 'start scanning' in the printer setup.

I can find the printer and install it but I cannot print, even the test page fails.
I figured out that this is because my personal laptop is not on my company domain. However, like for any other shared resource such as a network drive or accessing our exchange server, I would expect to be asked for my credentials so that I can connect to the printer.
Cna this be done? Is there a way to print from my personal laptop to a network printer on a domain?

I load firefox, same issue. I load Crome, it worked for 1 day then same issue. It used to login in fine last week. It logs in fine on my 2 other PCs and my Kindlefire.I have checked for viruses with Avast and A-Malware Bytes in safe mode - nothing. These 2 pick up 98% of stuff. Personally I dont think its a virusn IE9 - Deleted browsing history, cookies, temp internet files, everything under the Geneeral/Browsing History section. Did a disk cleanup, put the site inthe trusted zone, turned off popup blocker just in case, Cleared SSL state, Reset IE9. Zippo
View 1 Replies View Relatedi have an intel i5 2400 cpu, combined with 4gb ddr3 memory. mobo is dh67bl - revision 3. no gpu installed.power supply is via corsair vx450.problem i been facing:
1) bsod saying that a clock interrupt wasnt recd. [url]
2) bsod saying: page fault in non paging area. couldnt grab a screenshot for this.
3) display randomly goes off for a split second and reappears.. but the color of the panes go blue (i havent chosen blue. my setting is for clear pane.)[url] this error solves itself after random number of hours/mins
4) display vanishes for a split second and reappears, and a small balloon at the bottom right corner prompts that the display driver had stopped working.
5) system plain hangs/stops responding. randomly happens.. but more so while on Internet, or after hrs of it idling, i come back to the comp and try to scroll the content onscreen.sometime it revives from the stuck state as if nothing happened, sometimes i have to give it a cold boot.
6) while reading forums with blue bands.. the blue bands kinda form blurry bars which stretch till the end of the screen. i tried to grab a screenshot but the screenshots were clean. the bands moved as i dragged the image about.
7) also, my comp's display went off one day and within a second came back with a blue-ish hue. it restored itself but again has gone back to blue-ish.
other relevant information:
windows 7 x64
no other os resides/installed on system
full retail version
os was installed in july.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI am slowly transferring from XP on an old PC to Windows 7 Pro. on a new one. The new one has a small solid state drive (SSD) for OS and programs and a large disk for data. Today I ran a Win 7 system restore to get back to a clean situation and found that the desktop had been re-set to default values. Several icons have gone, the mouse is double click instead of single, and so on. An icon-restore program has gone (but is still in the Download folder). And now, every time I re-boot I get a message that a temporary profile has been loaded - and to get back to 'my' desktop I must log off and re-boot. Which does nothing, apart from removing the gadgets and resetting everything to default again.Yes, I know I shouldn't be using System Restore with an SSD, but that is not because of any software restriction it is to stop the SSD wearing out. and is only a temporary measure whilst I load software.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have installed Windows 7 RC1 Build 7100 x64. Default system display language is english (EN). I have since installed Norwegian. Norwegian Dvorak and programmer Dvorak, all well so far, but no matter what i do it always defaults back to EN on "new windows" opened.
I have even removed EN from the list of installed services (See attachment picture if it made it in here).The short cut keys work fine for switching between the languages. I run windows update regularily and have restarted the pc several times.
When I invoke the "New E-mail" function in Outlook 2010 (or "Reply") I find myself composing in 11-pt. Calibri with a font color of light blue. How do I change this? Wading through the maze of menus avails me nothing.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI just bought an HP Mini (200-4218tu) last Sunday. Now, when I tried to partition C, it was cut in half. However when I tried to format the unallocated space, it won't allow me. It said it doesn't support what I did. This case, the partition for HP RECOVERY and HP TOOLS were still intact. On boot-up, I can still press F11 for the HP recovery. Now, relying on the partition recovery, I decided to wipe C and install a trial Windows 7 ultimate just to be able to partition the drive. Success! I was able to create a partition but the HP TOOLS got wiped out too. I did a research that the HDD supports only 4 partitions. And the drivers downloadable via HP site were not useful at all to be able to override the OS installation. Thus far, when I tried to press F11 for the recovery, it prompted an error that the "BOOT" thing was not found and I need the recovery disk. Even upon OS set-up, I can no longer delete C. And bring it back to its 400Gb clean space.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI restored my friend's HP Vista desktop to factory defaults. When I attempted the first round of 91 Windows Updates, 50 of them came back as Failed to Install. I thought maybe the Recovery went bad, so I re-did the recovery to factory defaults. I was able to install half of the updates, (I decided to do half at a time), but now it is locking up at random times. I ran the Windows Memory Diagnostics, found no errors. I ran chkdsk /r from a command prompt, it found no errors. Any ideas where to look next? I'm thinking to open it up and look for swelled up capacitors
View 9 Replies View RelatedI remember a while back I got a BSOD, but I fixed it by reformatting my C drive, this didn't remove my OS or touch anything on my D drive however. I would now like to do the same, not because I have a problem but because my computer is becoming sluggish and I haven't reformatted for a long time. However, searching up how to reformat the C drive, without removing this OS seems literally impossible, every post I see just says the following: get your OS disk. Despite this, I managed to get the C drive back to factory defaults while keeping the OS, all my drivers for my hardware (graphics card, sound card etc.) intact. I would like to do the same again, if it is actually possible. This was originally a box PC so I don't have any CDs except for the one for my new graphics card which I replaced a faulty one with.
