Network Printer Test Page Fails

I tend to bring my personal laptop to work as I usually use it when working remotely.
I can find the printer and install it but I cannot print, even the test page fails.
I figured out that this is because my personal laptop is not on my company domain. However, like for any other shared resource such as a network drive or accessing our exchange server, I would expect to be asked for my credentials so that I can connect to the printer.
Cna this be done? Is there a way to print from my personal laptop to a network printer on a domain?

I downloaded from the HP site the drivers for the HP 6480 printer for Window 7. However the printer does not print. When I try a test page, it comes through the printer, but no print is on the page. The window on the printer shows what looks like two ? Marks above the two icons that looks like tear drops. I can't get rid of the ?.

I have a new 8 GB memory stick and it passed the readyboost test - initially. But I wanted to dedicate the device to readyboost so I reformatted to NTFS (was FAT32 initially) and now all I can get is "This device cannot be used with Readyboost". I have tried a command line test that gives me a read speed of 4.8 MB/S which according to the specs I have seen is fast enough for Readyboost.

Using Windows 7 and Word, each request to print delivers only the test page. A request to print e-mail also results in printing the test page only. Have disconnected and uninstalled the 812C and then reconnected (USB) and reinstalled the driver. Same result. Only the test page prints.

installed an airport extreme router and then returned it because it would only communicate with our apple stuff and nothing else. put the netgear router back in and now neither laptop we own will print anything accept test pages. everything worked fine before. thought maybe something happened to the printer so i got a new one , installed it, same thing. have uninstalled and reinstalled and tried several other changes suggested on the internet. still ,same thing only prints test pages.

I've been using my Ps3 controller as an alternative to an Xbox 360 controller on my PC (to play games with a gamepad) but in order to use my Ps3 controller as a makeshift 360 controller, I need test signing enabled.
Unfortunately with test signing enabled I get a big ugly watermark at the bottom right of my screen, as far as I know the only way to disable this is to disable test signing, otherwise it just won't leave! Is there any way I can get past this and somehow keep driver test signing enabled but get rid of that horrid watermark ruining my gorgeous wallpaper?

We have an ASUS Zenbook U31F. We like it, but may have to return it because we cannot get it to print to our network printer on our HomeGroup. We have a Dell Studio 17 that prints to this computer with no problem.When we attempt to print to the printer (HP OfficeJet 6100 Series), the ASUS computer downloads a driver from the server and then issues the message "Operation failed with error 0x000003e3."
1) Updating the HP printer driver.I cannot do this. Windows reports that the printer driver is included in Windows 7 and I do not need to update it (and I cannot update it - the OS will not allow me to.)
2) Attaching the printer directly to the ASUS ZenBook ASUS ZenBook can print to the HP OfficeJet 6100 if it directly connected with a USB cable. This is not an acceptable solution: my wife needs to use the printer from anywhere in the house.
3) Registry Hack.I read about a registry hack to fool Windows into thinking that the printer is already connected. I did this and the printer appears in the Devices and Printer applet. Unfortunately, the first time I attempt to use the printer, the ASUS ZenBook downloads the printer driver and fails again.
ASUS and Best Buy have been completely useless. ASUS points the finger (I am not sure which finger) to HP. Best Buy wants me to pay an additional $70 for a support contract to get the computer that I bought from them to work.The server is a home-built gaming system built on a Gigabyte motherboard - Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit, SP1, 6GB RAM, Intel i7 920 @ 2.66 GHz.The laptop is an ASUS ZenBook U31F running Windows 7 Pro 64 bit.

From time to time when I go to print something in Word 2003 it prints two pages per sheet. When I check "page setup" it's somehow automatically set itself to "2 pages per sheet" and I have to reset it to "normal".Is there some way I can stop this from happening.

I used to be able to see the ink levels of my Epson Stylus Photo 1400 printer everytime I went to print something. Since I upgraded my computer to Windows 7 I cannot find out how to see this information anymore.
At this moment the "low ink" red light is flashing and I have no idea which ink cartridge(s) I need to replace.

Zebra barcode code printer s600 there is no usb port,iam using usb to serial converter,PL-2303 USB-to-Serial Adapter is already installed,in windows 7 64 bit pc.In the device manager we can see in ports prolific usb to serial to serial comm port 2 is installed correctly,but when i start installing the printer driver the USB virtual port is not available for installing the driver,is it possible to install printer by usb to serial cable,please give some valuable comments.

I did a Windows 7 Repair Install on my HP (G62) laptop, 64 BIT, and installed an HP Deskjet F4180 printer,it went on virtual USB001. Recently, when printing from various PDF files, I cannot print multiple pages of a document. It prints a single random page of the document, then gives printer error, and moves the document into queue, where I have to cancel the job. It seems to work OK in other application documents however. And it even seemed to work for an older small PDF file.Im running the laptop on wireless, with router configured to automatic DHCP, shows 2 devices, the laptop and the wired Desktop, and seems to be running fine. The network is set to Public.I uninstalled all HP programs, drivers, and reinstalled the latest full printer driver & software for 64 BIT from HP website. I stopped & restarted the print spooler service.I tried different USB ports, cables, connection steps.I tried HP scan utilities for fixing, and tried Windows Troubleshoot (which temporarily fixes issue for a single print job)Thru printers & devices all printer & USB drivers show up, are updated, & working.In Printer Properties, I tried printing directly to printer setting, but then NOTHING prints at all.As far as I remember the printer worked properly on my desktop, Windows 7, 32 BIT version.I also reinstalled ADOBE PDF, in case its the applications fault SFC /scannow doesnt find a problem Ive done CCleaner, DiskCleanup, CheckDisk, also no Virus, Malware detected thru the AV applications The Event viewer shows ID #602 :The print spooler failed to reopen an existing printer connection because it could not read the configuration information from the registrykeyS-1-5-21-3851181124-22741... Deskjet D4100 series. This can occur if the key name or values are malformed or missing.MS -Windows Print Service, Spooler Operation failed.I looked at the registry keys, but I dont know if they are in fact incorrect, or what to look for, what they should be ?HP support says its most likely a Windows & corrupted file or spooler service & registry (which I doubt because this is a new Repai Install !) Also, with spooler bypass it doesnt print.

my Lenovo S10e Netbook features a Broadcom 802.11g Network Adapter Hardware ID DEV_4315 wich used to work perfectly under Windows 7 7000.
After having installed the RC it sais the driver could not be initialised. Deleting and restarting etc. did not help, Winupdate sais: driver is up to date.
Searching Broadcom's website left me even more confused..

I have Win 7 ver 6.1 (build 7600) on Desktop and I have a Linux server. I don't use a password to logon to windows.
I successfully mapped Linux drives using my Linux user (which happens to be the same as the windows user) but on Linux I have a password. All the mappings were OK (4 directories) asking me on each one username + password + ticking the box called "retain credentials".
All went OK until I rebooted, then a message pop-up that "could not reconnect all network drives"...appeared: => the old stupid message from win XP.
Ok I opened My computer and surprise: My user and my password from the sharing pop-up window were gone! I've inserted them again and all went OK.
I thought they solved the old windows XP problem which clears the user + password from the Network drive mapping IF you do not have the SAME password as the mapped drives.
What can I do to retain that User+Password combination for good in Win 7 Mapping?

I have Win 7 on two of my machines, one is 32bit and the one I am using at the moment is 64bit. I have a rather unusual problem in that I can access my Router in FF on the 32bit machine (IE as well) but on the 64bit, Nothing
When I enter the IP address for my Router it just sits there and then comes up with a Page Load Error? this happens also in IE8. I have turned OFF the firewall, all the settings are the same in both machines, except the IP adress of course .

I recently started to have an issue where I cannot access the internet on my PC. The network shows as connected and I can ping and tracert websites and IP's succesfully, but Firefox, IE, Windows Live Messenger and any other application cannot get connectivity. I have tried starting in Safe mode with networking and still have the same problem.
I have reset and bypassed my router and tried a direct connection to modem after a reset and still the same issue. I can connect no problems with another computer on this network and right now I am able to access the internet using Windows XP Mode in Windows Virtual PC. Any suggestions?

I watch videos from this site Poker Netcast | Live At The Bike | LABTTheir login is https.Ive been in IT for 15 years and even this has stumped me.When I go to login in IE9 starts looping from the login page to the https page and back to the original page and never ends. I load firefox, same issue. I load Crome, it worked for 1 day then same issue. It used to login in fine last week. It logs in fine on my 2 other PCs and my Kindlefire.I have checked for viruses with Avast and A-Malware Bytes in safe mode - nothing. These 2 pick up 98% of stuff. Personally I dont think its a virusn IE9 - Deleted browsing history, cookies, temp internet files, everything under the Geneeral/Browsing History section. Did a disk cleanup, put the site inthe trusted zone, turned off popup blocker just in case, Cleared SSL state, Reset IE9. Zippo

Last Friday my main desktop crashed (lost power to the machine) and on restarting the PC was unable to "identify" the network. By identify, I mean, when using "Network and Sharing Centre" on the basic network information page, the PC shows "Identifying" under "active networks" - no matter how long I leave the PC.
PC details
Model: Packard Bell Power x-30
Processor i7 870 @2.93GHz
RAM: 8GB
O/S: Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit)
Modem Router details
Netgear N300 Wireless Dual Band ADSL2+ Modem Router
The main desktop is connected to the modem router (via Ethernet). The modem router is showing no sign of any problems itself, all the dashboard lights look ok (i.e. power is on, port 1 shows the Ethernet connection in place, both wireless bands are lit, the DSL is lit and so is the internet). The household contains a number of laptops which continue to work ok wirelessly and/or wired through Ethernet. Even mobile phones are accessing the wi-fi ok.
The DNS Server address looks ok, as that is the address of the web page to the router. I cannot access that web page (address) via the main desktop, but I can from other devices ok. Having gone through Device Manager the Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller is showing as "working properly". I have tried pinging the DNS Server address, and that fail. I have gone through a system restore to a previous point (before the day of the crash) but that seems to have made no difference either.
I have attempted to set the IP addresses (for TCP/IPv4) directly
IP address 192.168.0.3
Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway: 192.168.0.1
And therefore forced to set the DNS Server address too
Preferred DNS server: 192.68.0.1
But I don't know what to set for the alternate DNS Server, so left blank. This seems to step me forward, in that the device/network is now identified. However the internet access is still not work, as the "DNS Server is not responding".
