View 5 Replies View RelatedI've been attempting to delete files from Norton Internet Security, which has been inactive for a long time (we are not going to renew our account) and has been bugging us constantly. I assumed it would be an easy task, and I couldn't have been farther from the truth.I went into the C:Program Files (x86)Norton Internet Security where the data for the program is found, and I couldn't delete the files. A dialogue saying "You need permission to perform this action You require permission from administrators to make changes to this folder".I thought it weird, since I am one of the computer's administrators. Next, I logged on to my dad's profile (at his insistence, though there shouldn't be any difference in the administrator powers of our profiles). The same result followed.Next, I looked online in a Google search and found this site, which told me to use the command prompt to first give me the ownership of the files, then give me complete permissions to the files, and then delete them. All three of these actions failed. The command prompt said "Access denied".

View 9 Replies View RelatedWhile attempting to download Btjunkie, I mistakenly downloaded a program called videograb, which is not what was stated on the website. Now I am unable to delete it. It has made unrequested changes to my computer. The instructions said to try this deletion in safe mode. When I restart the computer holding F8, as per the Windows instructions, I get what appears to be a list of system info, followed by 'press F10 to enter setup'. This starts os as usual. What happened to safe mode? I run Norton virus scan frequently, and have run Ccleaner to clean registry; this program was highly recommended by several people. I am running Win 7 os.

View 1 Replies View RelatedDid a clean install on my Vaio laptop (VPCF11LFX) of Win 7 64 bit Ultimate. Before I had a program under Control Panel/Program and Features called Intel Turbo Boost Technology Driver. Now I don't. I can't find out what this program is or what it's purpose is. Is it even necessary as my laptop seems to be running fine. I found the latest version (I think) and it seemed to load but when I checked, it didn't show up under Programs and Features.
