Oct 12, 2011I'm trying to connect my SONY HVR-HD1000U camera to my PC. I'm running Windows 7 and it doesn't recognize camera at all. In fact, my Device Manager doesn't even display any IEEE 1394 port/driver or whatever. I'm trying to connect the camera with a 4-pin to 6-pin cable. Nothing anywhere on internet says anything close to helpful.

Pages on the web offering advice on this kind of problems start their solutions with going to the device manager and expanding the "IEEE 1394 Bus host controllers" node in the device tree. Only I don't have such a node. How can I get the "IEEE 1394 Bus host controllers" node to appear in the device manager?

May 16, 2009I'm looking for a soundcard driver for my older Audigy SB 1394, using Win 7 Build 7100. I was able to get the sound working using Build 7000, but have been unsuccessful with the latest Win 7 Beta.
I think I've tried five or six drivers, and none have worked.
It doesn't appear that Win 7 is even recognizing that I have a soundcard, which could be the real problem. I tried moving the card to a different slot and running a hardware search, but nothing has worked.

When I insert the card into the reader, the green light above the slot turns on as if it recognizes the device, but it doesn't show up. Device Manager says that the driver is installed and working properly, and I have uninstalled it,reinstalled it, and restarted my computer. A system restore isn't really an option because it isn't my computer.

Aug 23, 2009Im currently running the Windows 7 RTM, and im having a little problem with my sound driver! it keeps installing a standard driver that comes with Windows 7, and i keep getting this message "This device cannot start. (Code 10)"
I have managed to download the latest driver for it, but when i try to manually install it/update driver, it says "the best driver is currently installed"
And the second i uninstall it, it installs it again straight away using the standard drivers that come with Windows 7... is there any way of stopping this?

Network Card Driver Problem
Dec 14, 2009When I start the computer, everything goes fine until the OS starts loading network connection. I get the "device plug in sound" and then everything freezes completely. I have to wait about ten seconds and after "device unplugged sound" the computer works, but only for five second or even less. This continues for about 10-20 minutes every time I boot up the computer.
The problem does NOT occur if I plug of the lan cable. That is not the solution though because the problem continues immediately after I connect the lan cable back. I have tried system restore, installed different network drivers but with no luck. What could be the problem, maybe it is some hardware problem?

So far this is the only version that has presented this problem. Even downloading the driver from other sources does not help. It installs the driver and then I get this

Aug 11, 2009have been having a problem since the time i switched over to win 7 64 bit from XP 32 bit..Got the win 7 7264 (64 bit) setup on my comp. tried installing the latest driver downloaded from Nvidia , 190.38 for my GTX 260 (Palit), but for some reason the installation doesnt proceed. have been facing the same problem with Vista and XP (both 64 bit) now..
the installation progress bar reaches around 30% and d monitor restarts and then the bar is still at d same position it earlier was and doesn move. have tried a few other drivers like 182.50 but for some reason none of these drivers gets installed..
the only breakthrough i had was when i installed it in win XP 64 bit when it started popping up the driver signature error..i believe the same issue is happening in Win 7 and Vista too but not sure.
