Aug 26, 2011My OS is win 7 32bit and I'm using office outlook 2007. I've been using yahoo and Google accounts through outlook 2007 without any problems. But for hotmail account, I found out that I had no choice but to use outlook connector, so I downloaded and installed it and added my hotmail account. But when I click inbox, nothing happens.

Apr 14, 2011I recently posted about a problem I was having with Outlook Connector, thinking I'd broken it after initially installing it successfully. So, after removing and reinstalling it, I was delighted when it worked fine all over again. Both my Hotmail and Outlook Pop3 accounts were syncronising in both places and in turn on my Windows phone.
Now 2 days later and having altered nothing, my hotmail emails are only being delivered to Hotmail and my Pop3 account emails only to my Outlook! And subsequently my phone is only syncing to Hotmail!
I've not touched anything but something's changed and not working how I need it!! Is this a common bug? I seem to recall reading something somewhere about Connector only working for a day?
Valet Connector Won't Work
Jan 13, 2012I just got the Cisco valet connector for my desktop and I plug it in and run the setup file which is on the device, but I can't get it to connect to the network. It's running Windows 7 64bit. I've searched google and I was on the phone with customer service and still no solution.

Jun 20, 2011I've used Outlook for a few years and have set up a bunch of personal folders for things such as online receipts for the past few years. I now use Outlook Connector (so I can sync my HTC phone) and have just tried moving each of those folders into my "@hotmail.com" folder, which is now the default.My logic being that by doing so, each of these folders will now be backed up online in my Hotmail account too.However, a pop up message appeared, stating that there was some kind of sync issue and would I like to try to repair this? I clicked ok and long story short, the folders are now no longer in their original folder locations or in the locations that I had moved them to. My inbox is also now filled with old emails that I've already replied to and subsequently deleted and some of my draft emails have returned to states that are not my most recent edits.I think Outlook Connector had stopped working correctly a while back, as my Outlook inbox and Hotmail inbox were not syncronised, and it's now returned to some earlier state or something?

Jan 8, 2013just recently I had the power connection fail on an INTENSO USB3 ext drive -- as it was a 3GB drive I didn't want to lose all the data on it.Anyway I cracked open the case and it was simply a 3GB SATA Barracuda 7200 RPM normal HDD with a power and USB connector card embedded in the case.So I just removed the HDD and connected it up into a SATA slot on my desktop and it works fine as an INTERNAL drive (still fast too).Also frees up a valuable USB3 slot on my computer. (I only have 2 USB3 slots so each one is valuable).If I really want to use this as an external drive then I'd just get another SATA==>USB3 enclosure --but the disk is a bit heavy to use as a portable.
( I got the INTENSO drive for 70 EUR -- so even breaking it up it's still a bargan for a 3TB Barracuda SATA drive - whish Id' bought to or 3 of these and converted them to INTERNAL HDD's. !!).eems most of these larger external powered (not self powered) USB drives are simply normal HDD's contained in a SATA==>USB2 or USB3 container.

Sep 13, 2011As i've mentioned in the title my Realtek Network connector is missing and Windows 7 cant locate it.This happened after my computer went into sleep mode for some odd reason. And whenever i try to re-install my driver it says:
"The RealTek Network Adapter/Controller was not found. If Deep Sleep Mode is enabled Please Plug the Cable".
So how can I get it back? So far I've tried:
-Removing my RAM for 10 mins and after that for another 1 hour
-Resetting CMOS from Motherboard
-Re-Installing Windows.
My Motherboard's model is : GIGABYTE GA-H61M-S2V-B3 with 1 x Realtek RTL8111E chip (10/100/1000 Mbit).

Go into your BIOS and set it to disable the floppy controller. The BIOS will tell Windows (any version of Windows) that a floppy drive is present, even if none is hooked up, if the floppy controller is enabled.

Mar 6, 2011When booting upduring POST, I get a "floppy drive fail (40)" error code. I have to use F1 to get to the desk top. I do not have a floppy drive! I have replaced the cmos battery on the mother board. When I access floppy drive in the removable device priority menu, click,nothing! I get no sub-menu to disable it.

Right click on my computer and select properties. In the hardware tab select 'Device Manager'. In the device manager there should be an expandable menu labelled 'Floppy disk controllers', expand this and you should see something like 'Standard floppy disk controller' right click on this and click disable. If at some time you do need to use a Floppy Drive you can re-able it.

When i connected it to other computer it not worked and then when i connected it to my PC again it's not working. When i connect floppy it says nothing. I tried to update disk drivers with Computer Management and it says that my drivers are up to date. I tried to uninstall drivers and than install it again and that's not working. BIOS and Computer Management can see the floppy drive, but Win Explorer can't see floppy. What should i do to access my floppy and my files?

Nov 1, 2009I have purchased and installed Win7 on a New (2 months old) PC that has a New floppy drive. The first time I used the drive I inserted a disk and opened it up to see what was on it. Explorer showed files and allowed me to open one for viewing. I then deleted all files from the disk and attempted to copy other files to the disk at which time I got a device not readable/disk not formatted. I attempted to format the disk numerous times with no luck. I used another PC (WinXP) to check/format the disk and again put the disk into the Win7 PC and opened it - showed disk empty (Good). I then copied some files to the disk, they did copy this time, then closed all windows and reopened explorer to the F. Drv again at which time I could See and Open the files. HERE'S WHERE THINGS GET FUNKY. I close explorer window, remove the disk and reinstalled the disk, open explorer to F. Drv and now the disk is EMPTY. When I try to again copy files to the disk I get the disk not formatted - but it will not format the disk and keeps giving a bad media message (I've tried 15 disks). I figured it was the drive (HW) even though it's new so I obtained another New drive and it did the same thing. I changed cables 3 times (one cable is new) - NO CHANGE. I tried an old but good drive - NO CHANGE.
Each time I try to read a floppy disk and then try to read the same disk on my WinXP PC I'm told the disk is not formatted/corrupted file system. The disk(s) are good and work as advertised in the XP machine but not with Win7. Kicker - my USB floppy drive works very well with Win7 and no issues.
USB Floppy Drive Driver Error?
Jan 14, 2009Has anyone else had trouble using a USB floppy drive in Windows 7? The drive does not appear in My Computer, I have tried troubleshooting the device, uninstalling it and re-installing it and trying to install other drivers to resolve the issue (windows will not accept others as it already has the best driver apparently...). I'm at a loss now I have even tried using drivermax to correct the problem but even that does not recognise the device.To ensure it wasn't an issue with the Floppy drive itself I have even tried using another, with the same result.

I googled it and as suggested disabled it in the bios and SORTED.However yesterday i was installing a new wireless dongle and it crashed and I had to shut down. I have since got a variety of messages relating to files includinf "NTFS" and "PCI" so I want to do a repair of the Windows XP Home OS. However I cant install the CD because the drive isnt working. I had a look inside (because I am pretty sure the drive worked fine before the new PSU) and I am sure that all the wires are in right. When the computer is on the CD drive opens up and closes but is not actually recognised. Also, I have tried several other working CD drives but to no avail (presumably because they have to be installed right?).
