I upgraded my computer to Windows 7 from XP, and I am using the Microsoft Natural Keyboard with the old ps/2 input. The problem is in Windows 7, the underscore on the keyboard does not work, it input a different character, so I am trying to find the original software drivers for it.

Laptop Keyboard types gibberish after plugging in Microsoft Natural Keyboard Pro.I connected my Microsoft Natural Keyboard Pro to the USB port on my Samsung R70 laptop and the device automatically installed itself OK and keyboard worked.BUT I then disconnected the keyboard, reverting to the laptop kepboard, and some of the keys have changed.I was only able to get the laptop keyboard working again by doing a system restore.I checked the keyboard driver and it only has 1 listed.

View 3 Replies View RelatedSince I'm running Windows 7 I thought I'd try to solve this on this forum, although the problem has plagued me all through vista as well but perhaps not nearly as much as it does now in 7.I have a Microsoft 4000 usb (wired) ergonomic "Natural" keyboard. I'll be on a forum typing up something (or in notepad, or anyplace I could possibly type) and all of a sudden the keyboard will stop responding to any key strokes. The only way to get it back to life is to logout and log back in, then the keyboard is working fine (unplugging it from the usb port works as well, although logging out and in is easier for me).When this happens, everything else on the computer is working perfectly fine, the mouse, display etc. It's just the keyboard that basically becomes totally inop. It doesn't matter what key I press they don't respond.
It's not a matter of an older keyboard that the wires might have broken or anything like that as this is a brand new keyboard. I've been using these MS 4000 keyboards for a few years now and have to replace them every year or less due to them wearing out from my fast and excessive typing but it doesn't matter, new or old, at some point, sometimes multiple times per day the keyboard stops responding on me.Any clues as to what might be causing this and more importantly how to prevent it from happening any further?
is anyone using the wired USB version of the Microsoft Ergonomic keyboard 4000 with Windows 7 - 64 bit? I've downloaded the latest software/drivers for this and installed them but I still can't get the Shortcut/My Favorites keys to function correctly.These used to work fine with XP now no matter whcih of the 5 keys I press it opens the same program ( CoreFTP )I have each of them set up to open specific webpages but they don't.

All letter keys work perfectly, as far as I can see, it is only the 2 and 3 keys which dont work.
2 gives me the @ symbol, whilst pressing the @ key gives me ".
3 gives me #, whilst pressing that key gives me , shift pressing the # key gives me |.
What has just happened?
The keyboard is part of a keyboard/mouse set, the Microsoft Wireless Optical Desktop 700 v2, and I am running Win 7 Home Premium x64.
I have lost my usb dongle of wireless mouse and keyboard.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI recently posted about a problem I was having with Outlook Connector, thinking I'd broken it after initially installing it successfully. So, after removing and reinstalling it, I was delighted when it worked fine all over again. Both my Hotmail and Outlook Pop3 accounts were syncronising in both places and in turn on my Windows phone.
Now 2 days later and having altered nothing, my hotmail emails are only being delivered to Hotmail and my Pop3 account emails only to my Outlook! And subsequently my phone is only syncing to Hotmail!
I've not touched anything but something's changed and not working how I need it!! Is this a common bug? I seem to recall reading something somewhere about Connector only working for a day?
I just got the Cisco valet connector for my desktop and I plug it in and run the setup file which is on the device, but I can't get it to connect to the network. It's running Windows 7 64bit. I've searched google and I was on the phone with customer service and still no solution.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI've used Outlook for a few years and have set up a bunch of personal folders for things such as online receipts for the past few years. I now use Outlook Connector (so I can sync my HTC phone) and have just tried moving each of those folders into my "@hotmail.com" folder, which is now the default.My logic being that by doing so, each of these folders will now be backed up online in my Hotmail account too.However, a pop up message appeared, stating that there was some kind of sync issue and would I like to try to repair this? I clicked ok and long story short, the folders are now no longer in their original folder locations or in the locations that I had moved them to. My inbox is also now filled with old emails that I've already replied to and subsequently deleted and some of my draft emails have returned to states that are not my most recent edits.I think Outlook Connector had stopped working correctly a while back, as my Outlook inbox and Hotmail inbox were not syncronised, and it's now returned to some earlier state or something?

View 1 Replies View Relatedjust recently I had the power connection fail on an INTENSO USB3 ext drive -- as it was a 3GB drive I didn't want to lose all the data on it.Anyway I cracked open the case and it was simply a 3GB SATA Barracuda 7200 RPM normal HDD with a power and USB connector card embedded in the case.So I just removed the HDD and connected it up into a SATA slot on my desktop and it works fine as an INTERNAL drive (still fast too).Also frees up a valuable USB3 slot on my computer. (I only have 2 USB3 slots so each one is valuable).If I really want to use this as an external drive then I'd just get another SATA==>USB3 enclosure --but the disk is a bit heavy to use as a portable.
( I got the INTENSO drive for 70 EUR -- so even breaking it up it's still a bargan for a 3TB Barracuda SATA drive - whish Id' bought to or 3 of these and converted them to INTERNAL HDD's. !!).eems most of these larger external powered (not self powered) USB drives are simply normal HDD's contained in a SATA==>USB2 or USB3 container.

View 5 Replies View RelatedAs i've mentioned in the title my Realtek Network connector is missing and Windows 7 cant locate it.This happened after my computer went into sleep mode for some odd reason. And whenever i try to re-install my driver it says:
"The RealTek Network Adapter/Controller was not found. If Deep Sleep Mode is enabled Please Plug the Cable".
So how can I get it back? So far I've tried:
-Removing my RAM for 10 mins and after that for another 1 hour
-Resetting CMOS from Motherboard
-Re-Installing Windows.

It is really strage because a few keys are working but not in thier usual function. My partner logged out so now i am sat at a login screen and cant key in a password. The on screen keyboard is behaving the same way which is very odd! Any suggestions? I have only had it 3 weeks and have had no problems it's been great. When using Microsoft Update, there is a security update for .NET Framework 3.5.1 R2 SP1 for x64 systems
( that would be my machine) - KB2518869 & KB2572077. I download them, yet the install fails and the following " Error Encountered Code 80073712" is called out.1st I am not knowledgable of the purpose of .NET and its workings so cannot talk intelligently about it.AND I have tried to down load this a few times ( even with some tech support help from AVG ) and they too could not crack the code.

I want to install SP1 on my home m/c but it's a slow link (file size is approx 1GB) and I want to download SP1 on another machine (XP) with a faster link and then run it on my m/c.
When I try and download from Microsoft it says XP m/c illegal action (or some such). So far I have been unable to find a copy I can download on a XP m/c.
I am currently trying to determine if MSE is having a problem that Microsoft is not addressing.If you check the Event Viewer and show a SxS error or a Microsoft Anti-malware error, it might be caused by a problem with MseSysPrep.DLL.It seems running the Scheduled Task related to Application Experience will show a problem with MSESysPrep.dll. Many folks are showing the error and I am having a problem with the MSE real time protection shutting down because of "updates".I do not feel shutting down the real time protection for MSE updates is appropriate, so I will be watching to see if Microsoft addresses the problem.
