how do i sort out the problem?
i have a 19 wide screen 1440 x 940
I have a three monitor set up. Whenever I open up a browser, either internet explorer or google chrome on monitors 2 and 3, after a few seconds it automatically drags my browser into my main monitor(monitor 1, where my start button and status bar is located)
View 3 Replies View RelatedI know this is not very important in the grand scheme of things, but it irritates the crap out of me. When the player is in "Now Playing" mode, using the album art visualization, is it possible to make the album art bigger? When in full screen mode the album art is but a tiny postage stamp on the desktop. I would like to make it larger so it's easier to see. Is there a way to enlarge it, or did the programmers in Redmond not think there would ever be a need to actually be able to see and enjoy the album art?

Primary: Samsung Syncmaster 19 Inch widesreen 1400 * 900
Secondary: LG E2541 25 Inch Widescreen 1980 * 1080
OS: Windows 7 64bit
VideoCard: Nvidia Geforce 560 Ti
I use my primary mostly for browsing, msn, music players, Ventrilo etc etc,I want to use my secondary Monitor for gaming Watching Videos. However, when i want to use something Full screen on my secondary monitor it goes full screen on the primary monitor.
I cant also run it in windowed mode and stretch it out to full screen, it does not allow me to do that, it goes back to the size of my primary Monitor.
Ps.I want this since i play mostly with fullscreen borderless or in windowed mode so i can still browse the internet or adjust music/ventrillo settings. I dont want to have an Taskbar below the game, so thats why i need it on the Second Monitor.
I have recently bought a new computer, pre-loaded with windows 7. I hate it! It seems to me the most stupid retrograde step Microsoft has ever made. After the simplicity of Win XP Microsoft seems to have taken steps to hide everything they can and make it as difficult as possible for the user to comprehend it and....;. Why oh why have they made everything so small. I usually sit about 500mm from the monitor. Now I am getting a stiff neck peering closely to read simple print. Is there any way I can make it all bigger, as I can with Word and I.e?

I have tried to restore the disk image to my larger drive but the recovery disk cleverly assigns the 300gb drive as the drive to install on.
Is there some simple way in which I can tell the disk image to install onto the bigger hdd without having to do a clean install, which I was holding back till SP1 came out?
sometimes, all of a sudden my mouse cursor gets bigger, like, twice the size. it doesn't look pixelated or edgy. it just doubles in sizes. my current work around is to go to "change how mouse pointer looks" select the aero_arrow file and hit apply. then the mouse is cursor is back to normal.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI wondering if anyone can help answer a problem I am experiencing with using Windows 7 own backup tool.
I have two 500GB hard drives in my system. Drive 0 is partitioned with 390 GB as the C: drive containing Windows 7 and user data, the remaining space is unallocated ready for me to install Ubuntu 9.10. Drive 1, as D:, is the full 465.8GB and is planned to store backups. Before my initial backup this drive was empty.
In the past I've used Acronis to backup, but my version is old and before purchasing the latest version I thought I would try Windows own backup as I have got the impression that it's pretty good.
However, backing up my C: to D: takes up more space than I expected it too.
C:
Size: 390GB
Used: 185GB
Free: 205GB
D: after initial backup (drive empty before then)
Size: 465.76GB
Used: 320.01GB
Free: 145.75GB
Is there something I doing wrong? or is there a reason why it is nearly twice the size? I chose the recommend option and let Windows decide what to backup, was that the wrong decision?
If it helps these are the three files/folders I see at the root of D:
MediaID.bin, WindowsImageBackup and LIANLI-QUAD (my computer name)
How do I make the page on WORD get smaller? I was using the laptop mouse touchpad and all of a sudden the page went to about 250 percent. This si not my laptop and I'm not familiar with it - I can't seem to find any way to get the page back to a 100 percent view.

View 1 Replies View Relatedmy monitor exhibited signs of flickering during start-up, but only minor ones and would just stop at the 'Welcome' screen of windows so I didn't give it much thought. Iv'e been using it with the cpu the same time I bought the monitor. But after some time, the flickering got worse. It went from 1-2 second interval flickers to a whole 10 seconds of blackness before it showed anything. Now,Iv'e got a new cpu but still using the old monitor. After a day or so, the monitor exhibited the first symptoms of my first cpu, so I just dismissed it. But after a week, It got a hell worse, before I even start-up my computer, the monitor doesn't show Analog/Digital at the top-left corner of the screen. PLUS my cpu keeps restarting after I pushed the ON button after 10 seconds or so. Is the monitor responsible for the restart and what could be the reason for the flickering?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a netbook with a 10.1 inch screen, and a 22inch LCD display panel. When I connect my netbook to the display, the words seem too small at 1920x1080 resolution. If I set the font size to 125% or 150%, then it would be too big once i unplug my external LCD and use the netbook's 10.1 screen. Setting the 22 LCD to a lower resolution makes the text look very blurred, so that's not an option.
Is there anyway/script/program to automatically change the font size when I connect/disconnect the LCD screen?
Motherboard: MSI Z68A-G45
Nvidia GTX 580 (Latest 285.62 Drivers)
Windows 7 64 Bit
I've had this computer about 2 months and everything was working great until today. This problem started out of nowhere. I didn't mess around with drivers etc.
Anyway, when I switch on my computer, the bios screen loads up..followed by the Windows 7 loading splash screen. Then just when the welcome screen should appear, my monitor turns to standby and says that it's not receiving an input signal.
I booted in safe mode and removed the drivers. I restarted my PC and it worked and my desktop appeared. However when i install the drivers again and restart the computer as required by the driver installation..the same problem as above reappears.
My monitor is connected via a HDMI cable to the GTX 580.
EDIT: When I go to device manager and right click the GTX 580..there is an option to roll back drivers. I clicked this and it now shows as a VGA Adapter. I restarted and my computer booted up...but obviously in low resolution as no previous drivers were ever installed since i bought the PC with up to date drivers.
I also just installed 290.53 BETA drivers. Restarted and my computer now just hangs at the welcome screen. I can still boot in safe mode which is how i'm managing to write this.
my new laptop's screen has a weird stain at the bottom, I can't get rid of it can you guys tell me what is it and how can I fix it myself? I still got the warranty but I don't want to send the laptop to repair because It's too much trouble there must be a way I can fix it myself so
Here's a picture of the stain I took 4 different pictures and put them together in 1 single picture.. (stain is in the middle)
I have a dual monitor setup, with a 1280x1024 VGA monitor coupled with a DVI 1920x1080 monitor. I use the 1920x1080 one as primary, because I like to play a few videogames and they're much better on the widescreen (and higher res).
However, I'd like to be able to display the windows 7 logon screen on the secondary (vga) monitor, it's just a minor bug but I'd like it that way because whenever I wake up my computer, the vga monitor wakes up almost instantly but the widescreen seems to take a few seconds to wake up, and I'd like to be able to input my password and start using my PC right away - I use an nvidia card if that means anything (maybe the ati drivers support it but not nvidia I don't know).
This am I booted my computer to; find everything was twice the size it usually is there by requiring me to scroll right to left and from up to down to read my home page.

View 4 Replies View Relatedmy laptop has an ati x1600 mobility card and is outputting via hdmi (mini dvi-actually) to an ASUS VH242H (full 1080p) monitor. When I had this connected running xp I had not problem with the screen resolution and size, but now that I'm running windows 7 the 1920x1080 resolution is available, but the picture doesn't fill the whole screen, there is like a 1" black box around the displayed screen.
I believe it has something to do with my display driver, I'm currently using the one provided by windows update.
My problem is that if I connect the computer via DVI to a display it functions normally, but when I hook it up via HDMI to my Flat screen, it doesn't show the splash screen that gives you the option to enter bios. The screen just stays black until the windows welcome screen(win 7 64bit) comes up, then it acts totaly normal from that point. When I try to press the del key during the boot, I believe it is entering the bios, but the screen remains black so I can't see anything. I am guessing that the MB is not sending the signal to the Flat Screen until it loads windows, but can't find out anywhere that confirms that or what to do in order to resolve it.

So it's not the monitor or the cable( switched them a few times by now) I believe it is the new tower. I think it might be the VGA card but know little about these things. I had turned off the computer and when it was turned back on the screen was red. I restarted it a couple of times and it finally returned to normal.
