I'm running Windows 7 64 bit on a computer I built with an i7 920 CPU on an Asus P6T motherboard and 6GB of DDR3 ram. Every time I try to connect via Cat 5 wired DSL connection it adds an additional "Unidentified network (public network) and lists "Multiple networks under the middle icon on the Network and Sharing Center with a red X between that and the Internet. I have tried everything to get rid of the extra network but nothing has worked. It initially worked fine, but after getting a "critical update" it began to do this intermittently, now it does it all the time.
i'm running Windows 7 on my laptop and i am using mobile 3G modem as an adapter to connect to Internet. The problem is when i am connect the NIC to my DLINK router, the Internet connectivity become lose where Network and Sharing center stated that there is Multiple Networks with no Internet access. FYI, my DLINK router is not connected to Internet but Mobile 3G modem does connected to internet.This is my result of ipconfig /all

After starting up windows, it becomes inaccessible for 2 or 3 minutes and got the internet connection icon loading in the taskbar, it may caused by a program that needs internet connection while startup or after startup. So I want to know which program needs internet connection while startup or after startup and how to block it from using internet connection.
is it possible to make a VPN connection over multiple internet connection ? if this is possible then you can make multiple connection transparent to other applications running on ur pc.
I have two different Internet Service Provider (ISP). The first ISP router is 192.168.0.1 The second ISP router is 192.168.0.2 I want to know if I set 192.168.0.2 as a secondary default gateway in windows 7 pro. with metric 10. ( Tcp IP properties / advance TAB / bottom add another default gateway) will windows 7 pro, be able to tell if Router1 - 192.168.0.1 internet is down and it should start routing the traffic VIA Router-2 192.168.0.2. I had bad experience with routers that have multiple WAN port they never did the Job well. I want to know if I can use windows to solve the problem. also if Router1 is back online will it go back to it or stick to Router2 until it restarts? what exactly is Windows 7 Routing rules for multiple gateways if internet is down in one of them? If this is not the way to do it, what would be my 2nd option, and what type of router I should use.
*note if router1 internet is down, the router is still up and responding. just no internet connection
I recently have a problem with my network connection. It shows me sometimes that i have mutliple netowrks, one of them says Unknown network.. When those 2 are togheter in my network and sharing center, my internet connection is lost. If i disable and enable my network connection the internet is working and that unknown connection is gone. Anyone can help me with this one? It is kind of annoying to do that thing everyday.
I would like to be able to use 2 networks at the same time, one is a wireless internet connection through my USB adapter, and the other is a wired Ethernet connection to separate router, which i use to connect to a Playstation 3 with Playstation Media Server. Frequently I am wanting to download a video from the internet while watching a different one on the PS3. he problem is when I connect both networks, I am unable to use the internet.nd what I have learned.
1. I made sure that the two networks have very different IP addresses and Default Gateways.
2. I have tried to change the priorities of the networks through Control Panel>Network and Internet>Network and Sharing Center>Change Adapter Settings. Then right clicking the connections, clicking Properties, clicking both Internet Protocol Properties (one at a time), clicking Advanced, un-checking Automatic metric, and placing my own values. Obviously i set the wireless to the lowest priority and the wired higher.
3. Also in the Network Connections list, pressing Alt, clicking Advanced, then clicking Advanced Settings; I set the order of the connections, wireless first, then wired.
(Also I did reboot the system after trying each thing)Going to command prompt and typing "netstat -rp", under Interface List I am shown the metric priorities of network devices.It seems no matter how I try changing priorities or access orders or anything, those values do not change. I am thinking if the priority of the wireless adapter was first, I would be able to use the internet while connected to both networks, and still be able to stream to the PS3 through the wired connection.
Lost my WAN. I am troublshooting router/ modem issues so I am direct connected to my modem bypassing my router. but to maintain my LAN for sharing I am using a wireless dongle as I only have one ethernet port. as soon as my wireless is connected Windows 7 drops internet from the ethernet. even if I have net then merge the connections. I just had a fresh install a few weeks ago, nothings been tweaked cuz for the most part it works.

I'm having a problem with my networks... i have 2 networks that i connect to, one that is wireless, and is connected to my INTERNET connection, and another that is connected to an Xbox and a file server through a router.
My problem is that whenever i connect to them both, i cannot connect to the Internet anymore, but as soon as i disconnect the router, i am able to access the internet again. My network center shows it as
*My-PC* -------- Multiple Networks-----x-----internet {when im connected to both}
and
*My-PC*---------*Wireless Network*---------Internet {when im connected to the wireless only}
"Is there possible in Windows Firewall to block all the internet traffic just by a few clicks?" I mean like the other firewalls just by selecting "Block all traffic"... (a right click on the tray and select this option) or (enter in the firewall window and click on a button -> Block all traffic). Is there a method or a button that i haven't discovered? Or there are some fast steps in which i can do this thing? I'm using Windows 7.
I have an Acer laptop windows 7, but Just recently (yesterday) a problem came up that at first I thought it was the modem but now I see the problem is my laptop. And basically when I run the windows network Diagnostics 3 problems come up:
1. None of the networks you have previously connected to are in range, 2. Problem with wireless adapter or access point, and 3. The default gateway is not available.
Internet connection over an electrical Powerline instead of a wireless connection?is it easy to setup, reliable, fast,..?More in particular a D-Link device:DHP-307AV PowerLine Homeplug AV Kit
I am using a nokia E66 to connect to the internet at home. My pc at home is running windows 7 home premium 64 bit. I am currently using nokia pc suite 7.1.40.1. All the software installed without any problems. The problem that I am having is that after I connect to the internet, I can only roughly download / upload about 5MB of data and the connection will time out. I do not get any error messages that is did timeout. The only way I know this is that I stop seeing data being transferred in Network properties.
I then open my e-mail client to see If I can connect with a POP account and then I get an error saying it could not connect to the e-mail account. I then have to disconnect and reconnect and try again. This does not seem to affect web browsing though, only when I am downloading files. Like Steam will start update and stop, windows updates will start download and stop and so on.
I initially thought it was a problem with the network operator, but when I boot back in xp (my pc is set up to dual boot between xp and 7) every thing works fine. No download time outs. Is it the nokia software that is not supporting 7 100% yet or am I missing something else?
I am trying to share my internet connection thru my laptop wit my ps3 but iyz not working for some reason.when I search for a network wit my game it finds the ip address but no internet connection.
internet connection sharing: No internet access!?I am trying to setup internet connection sharing between my laptop (Connected to WiFi) and my pc which has no wireless connection. I've spent a day or two troubleshooting problems such as 'LAN' doesn't have valid configuration and such, i found a solution and I've got the two connections to be able to see each other, but i can't get an internet connection to go through.I have my ipconfig /all for both computers available: (Both have had excess trimmed off to save on character limit)[CODE]

For the past few months, I have been accessing the internet with my laptop's wifi through my neighbor's password-protected network (with his permission). I also sometimes go online using another neighborhood network which does NOT have a security key.As of today, I can view networks and connect to both of these (as well as others), but I can't get online. I get the "No Internet access" message when I connect to any network.When I go to the command prompt and type ipconfig /all, I get this for IPv4 address: 192.168.1.9(Preferred) and I cannot successfully ping any ip addresses.
I have just got a new laptop with Windows 7 (finally!) My question is this:
Is there a way to configure multiple internet connections with either a preferred primary connection or a way that I can manually route applications to a specific internet connection.
For example I am connect to a corporate lan for corporate email, unix access etc, can I plug in my 3g card and then use that connection when i use msn or a specific browser? I want both connections active at the same time, but the banned stuff on the corporate network to use my 3g connection.
I've had multiple BSOD over the past week. It seems most common when I try to play Total War, but it has also happened while I'm on the Internet as well. I have Windows 7 Home Premium 64-Bit Installed OEM and my laptop is about 1.5 years old.
I used to access shared internet from a router, now the router has no internet we only use it for local home sharing. I added the secondary adapter to connect to the DSL-modem directly.so now when I disable the 1st adapter my internet works fine. when they're both enabled internet doesn't work at full speed or sometimes not at all.
I was installing a software on my other laptop (it had SQL software with it) and I ran into some trouble as I got error problems that the installation of the software had failed and now whatever I do, I can't access the web! Sure enough, my wireless connection connects successfully and it indicates that I am on the "Internet" but every time I try to use either firefox or internet explorer to go to a web site, it says I don't have a connection.

recently, i have had many bsod consecutively. recently, i have had about 9 bsod over about 5 days (although the report lists a break between my bsod between 2/21 and 3/27 because i was on break for most of this). in the past i have gotten bsod while playing games, but the recent ones have been while doing mundane tasks such as browsing the internet or watching Internet videos?i have used bluescreenview to try to discover the cause of my problem, but every bsod seems to have a different error and file associated with it. many of them are blamed on ntoskrnl.exe, but have different error messages. some are from different files.i am running windows 7 64 bit on a desktop i built about 15 months ago. since then, i have gotten many error messages, but more recently. i have 8 gb of ram, geforce gtx 470, amb phenom ii black multicore processor, and gigabyte 890gpa-ud3h motherboard. i assembled the desktop components and installed all software new onto the computer.
things i have tried recently: resetting the ram in different slots, running antivirus (i have avg free, malwarebytes, and spybot), cleaning the computer fans, uninstalling/driversweeping the video card drivers and reinstalling, disabling the motherboard sound card through bios so the external sound card i have installed does not interfere, running cmd /chkdsk with fix to try to correct any errors found. i have been dealing with bsod a lot frequently, although it has usually only been about 1 per week in the past. these are extremely frequent recently with multiple per day and it is interfering with my work. attached are the files requested.
my internet stops working for ~30 seconds multiple times a day. I am using Time Warner Cable with a Motorla SBG6580 modem and Asus RTN56U router and a wired connection. When it drops the internet access icon in the bottom right doesn't change (no yellow exclamation point) and sometimes when I run the troubleshoot internet connections it will come back with "the DNS server isn't responding. The other computers in my house don't seem to have the problem. My computer uses a wired connection and am running Windows 7.
