I have AIFF files of music on my Windows 7 64 bit PC, and I want to make audio CDs that will play in my car, etc.. The music does not show up in Windows Media Player, but I can find it in My Music and I can listen to it on the computer. I made a CD from some songs in My Music, but it won't play in my car. I thought that I might have put the CD in upside down when I recorded to it, so I tried recording it (the same CD-R)again with the CD rightside up. I got a message that listed the songs already recorded on it, so I know that they were recorded, and I know that the computer can read from the CD, but my car CD player can't read it. I tried dragging and dropping the songs to the burn section of Windows Media Player, but I got an error message that was not very communicative, but it was obvious that it wasn't going to burn the CD. So, my first question is: Can I make the CD by doing something different with the computer as it is, or do I need some other program? After reading some posts here, I looked at the Audacity website, but I'm not sure it works with Windows 7, and I'm not sure it will make an audio CD from pre-existing AIFF files. Second question: If I need another program, what will work? If I have not reached my maximum number of questions, will I be able to make an audio CD with a mix of AIFF and MP4 or MP3 files?
is it possible make audio render for application ( crystal tv ) to my tv throught hdmi.but i want have separate sound for some games and browser.because my wife want watch internet television and i same time want use my desktop for gaming and Internet.is there is any way how make separate audio render for custom application.there are no options in that internet television application.
It doesn't seem to work. Every time I click it, it gives me no audio. I have verything set up right so don't bother telling me to go into more properties. Is there a 3rd party program that can handle this instead? The decoder on Windows sucks with my receiver and I want to use the receivers decoder.
I need to constantly refresh my RTM desktop to apply any changes i do ( copy files, delete files, etc) For example when I delete something, I have to click refresh in order for it to go away from the desktop to the recycle bin.
how to make windows 7 rename the files i download in a series.I can't tell much about the work am going to use this auto rename for much because it's confidential.how i want it to be done.Basically i download "things" from a certain site for a certain use and i want to rename the downloads as something else.Basically, I would like my downloads to be renamed in the series of 1, 2, 3 etc automatically once i feed 1 manually for the first file i download.
I for some reason am not able to get a thumbnail view of any of my .cbr & .cbz files anymore. I had to reinstall Windows 7 a few days ago and now no thumbnails show for my comicbook files. Pdf's show fine once I locate them with Adobe Pro. And usually when I locate them with a certain comicbook reader program they show up as thumbnails even when viewing in windows explorer. But not now
I would like to know if it's possible to make autorun files in windows 7. I've read a bit on the net and saw that some say it is not possible, but it must be; otherwise, how would hackers use autorun files in Windows 7?
I had a game setup in my pen mixed with a lot of other important things for the installation. I wanted to make an autorun file that would do the following:
1- you plug the pen;
2- the program would start immediately (without autoplay).
Let's say the file is named "setup.exe". I created the following autorun.inf: [autorun] open=setup.exe It didn't work.. probably because I am using windows 7. So, how do I create this?
Imagine I use Windows XP. Also imagine I had the setup.exe file in this location: F:/others/setup.exe I wanted to create an autorun that would start the setup.exe as soon as I plugged the pen in. How would the autorun.inf be like?
I've just downloaded Microsoft Windows 7 Build 7057 Ultimate x86 with a size of 2.52 GBs. Since I use a fairly slow internet connection it took me AGES to complete.
Now that I want to burn it on a DVD so I can use it as a bootable disc, I see that there is no single image file like ISO, CCD, IMG, etc. for burning. Unfortunately I face a bunch of files and folders.
I'd like to know how I am able to make a bootable DVD outta these files so I can easily clean install a new Windows 7.
Somebody told me I have to download ANOTHER TWO GIGABYTES as a 3rd party program in order to do that! Since my internet connection is badly slow I didn't even listen to what he said!!!
Is there a way I can get rid of this problem? I am unbelievably eager to experience the ALL-NEW Windows 7.
I'm attempting to make files available offline, but to no avail. I've followed both this guide and this - When I reach step 3 on the latter, I cannot see the option to make files "Always available offline" which is why I'm here, cause for the life of me I can't seem to work out how to make it available.I have Google'd and followed each instruction people have mentioned, still to no avail.
before i update to windows seven my recovery was not full now it full i deleted the back and now i want it to stop saving all of my files like pictures, video, program file, etc
I've been downloading many Videos and I watch them on WMP (I'm running Windows 7 64Bit) and I have variety of files. But for some reason files like .Mp4 would show thumbnails/an image of the video while my MKV files just show an Icon. I have installed K-Lite codec pack 5.2.0 (64Bit) to enable my WMP to watch several files. Also I have try installing the Divx preview thing (Forgot what's it called) and it does make the Mkv show the thumbnail but it lags incredibly when I play it. Is there any alternate way to make my MKV videos show thumbnails?
When I bought a new computer Windows 7 was installed. My old system was XP. I put my xp files on a USB, but when I try to open them on the 7 it is garbage. How can I make Windows 7 read/open my XP files on a USB?
How can i make IE9 save web pages in a default format So, anyways, is there a registry hack anyone has made for IE 9 that can force IE 9 to stop choosing mht as the default format? I am sick, have been for years, of switching it to htm. It's also noteable that more webpages on IE are able to saved in mht form, rather than htm (and firefox can save any ANY page in either format). It's as if Bill Gates had a mht fetish and decided we should all go by his ways.I'm using 64 bit windows.
Is there any way to make the details of a FLV file, especially resolution and runtime, show up in the details view of Windows explorer? I have the Shark007 codec pack, and can see thumbnails just fine, but no information about the FLV files, other than their file size, shows up in the details view, or the file properties.I need to clean out some of my older saved videos, rather than buy a new hard drive, and I would like to start by getting rid of the low res and short runtime stuff.
i have managed my partitions but i did not made any back ups and when my i explore my new partition, i have three same folders which look like a directory but they are all folders, the files are already absent but the disk's space is occupied by my recent files what will i do?
In order to make an older program run, I have to copy a stack of dll/ocx files into System32, and then register them. Yes, it's crappy design, but it's a game editor for an older game, and I'm evidently the last tech-savvy admin. That, or a sucker.I copied them onto the desktop, and am trying to copy them from there into the system32 directory. I hit the UAC prompt, and select continue. Then it tells me I need to provide permission for it. I am a local admin (as well as a domain admin).
My main HDD is comfigured into two partitions, C: for Windows 7 and D: for data/downloads/etc. Whenever I copying a large file from Partition D: to Partition C: and vise versa, the transfer slows down to a crawl and the HDD activity light on my case stops blinking.
I'm currently doing a clean install of windows 7 64 bit on my 32 bit XP computer, I used the upgrade advisor beforehand and it said a lot of my programs where 64 bit compatable, and a large chunk of them are on my other hard drive (the one im not installing windows 7 on). After the install is finished will they be useable or will I have to reinstall them?
It will get as far as "expanding files" then stop at 0%, with an error saying "Windows cannot install required files. Make sure all files required for installation are available, and restart the installation." I have tried it with multiple iso burns on different dvds from the download I got of it, redownloading it from the official downloader, and now have tried the dvd that came in the mail, to no avail.
I have just built my first pc, and I am stuck at installing windows 7 . Here's what happens, I am trying to install off a USB stick as I don't have a dvd drive for this build. It will load into the setup and it'll stop on a screen requiring me to load drivers.
Here is what it displays: "A required CD/DVD drive device driver is missing. If you have a driver floppy disk, CD, DVD, or USB flash drive, please insert it now".
So I found drivers for my mobo Asus M5A97, I select them and then after I click next this message appears: "No new devices could be found. Make sure the driver files are correct and located on the driver installation media".
I don't know what to do! I've tried all I can think of!! Nothing seems to work! I am trying to install windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit, I've tried installing windows vista 32 bit, and its been saying the same thing as well! I found the drivers here: [URL].
I have a 120GB SSD for system etc. I have a 1TB HDD for everything else. How do I change the default program files folders (x86 and regular) so that when I am installing a program the first choice is on this second drive instead of C?
My issue is that i would like to be able to have media center audio play only through my tv and not through my pc main speaker system, tv is hooked through hdmi output on graphics card, speaker system through 5.1 output on motherboard. I have tried the audiorenderupdater extender but all that does is set default audio out for entire system, so when itunes is used or game is played on computer audio goes through tv. I would like all system noises, media player, and game audio to run through pc speakers and simultaneously all media center audio (recorded/live tv) to go through tv audio, so i can watch sports center while playing mass effect and have audio from sportscenter on tv audio from mass effect on pc speakers.
Also is there a way to separate media player's actions from media center's. For example if you are laying music in media player and then open media center and play a tv show, music playback stops, not a big deal just like media player better than itunes and would like to be able to watch tv in media center while playing music in media player rather than itunes
I have Windows Media Player Version 12.0.7601.17514. I am trying to create a CD with mostly music (.wma) files but would like to add a few .jpg files. I can move all this (.wma + .jpg) over to the "list" file and them burn to a CD but it will not play on a CD player. I can open the CD through the CD tray on my computer and make the CD play, but this is not what I want. I want to give these CDs to family and friends so they can play on their CD players and car CDs without the .jpg files interfering. The .jpg files are only on the CD for people to find a picture and message I have left for them should they drop the CD into a computer. I see on the internet where people are discussing adding "album art" to files but this is not what I want to do. I just want the .jpg files to be separate from the .wma files and for the .wma files to play. How can I do this? PS when I burn a CD with only .wma (music) files, everything works well and the CD will play in any CD player and car CD.
resently, when i was trying to get Itunes to work(never mind about itunes, not the problem) i dud deeper into the problem and i gone through some regedit stuff at the RUN wich i was told to do if Itunes was gonna work and then my audio stopped working, my media files to but i can still play games (without audio). dont really know what to do?
I have two partitions on my harddrive, one for the OS files and programs(labelled C) and the other for media and audio files(labelled F). Since I have multiple users, I made a folder for each user on the F drive to store the audio files. How can I make it so only each user can modify/add/delete their own files in their own folder on the F drive, but still be able to play files from another user?
