View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen viewing the properties of certain video files, such as .ts, I am not able to see the details of the video file such as audio and video bitrate. Other files such as .avi show fine.I don't know if it's related but I am also not able to view the file extensions on these same files though I can see the extensions on most others. Folder options show I am set to view hidden folders and to show file extensions. It doesn't appear to be a virus problem as I have checked with a number of virus programs and verified they found none.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a number of video, music, and picture files that I like to annotate with sometimes pretty lengthy comments. When I previously used Windows Vista, it seems that I could enter very lengthy comments under the "Details" tab of the file properties, and all of that information would be retained (and displayed in the details folder view). With Windows 7, it appears there is a much smaller maximum field length for the comments that are saved, and anything entered that is longer than that is automatically truncated. Is there a way (possibly a registry modification) that I can enter longer comments?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI was trying to change a mp3 file properties > details, but it won't let me. There is nothing listed. When looking in explorer, it shows no album information or title. It does it with video files as well, so I am assuming all properties.
When I do change something from the bottom, it gives me error 0x80004005: Unspecified error. 'An unexpected error is keeping you from applying properties to the file' I used to be able to, so not sure what happened!
MediaMonkey can see the details, but every file on the computer, I can't see the details in explorer? Do I have to register some .dll? Regserv32 of some sort?
I upgraded to win7 professional with the anytime upgrade. Thought I could now encrypt files but there is no advanced button on the files properties.

If I double click the executable it takes over a minute before the program launches.Equally attempting to access the file properties takes a similar amount of time.(the file happens to be audioconverter.exe (part of a set of programs to re-encode mkv's - e.g. strip out of the dts track and reencode with ac3, etc.)Only files in this set of sub-directories seem to be affected, the rest of the machine performs perfectly

I'm on 64-bit, and have tried inserting my installation disk as well as the system repair.I've looked at this, but seeing as I'm Windows 7 & not XP I can't see why it would work; Error Message: Windows could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt I'm following another Microsoft guide that asked to me run a command in a command prompt, Bootrec.exe which in turn gave me 4 options, only I'm not sure which option to choose.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI am Last night when I get home go to start computer and there is a error about missing dll file, then aas I click the error more missing file errors keep coming up, gets progressively worse until PC does not start windows. Ok, that's cool, I have backup and disk image on another drive in computer, no problem right, WRONG!!!
So pop in the windows 7 disk, go to restore disk image, error!!! Got a few errors while trying once I got one when I checked of not to include one of the disk, the one I keep getting is that there is not enough space on drive for restore. Now the disk the image is on is 150 GB, the disk trying to put it on is 500 GB, so why the problem???
So keep searching on my laptop and find a suggestion to do diskpart-clean. Go through every suggestion I found to use diskpart such as clean. Still not working. I install Windows 7 on the drive which works, install backup files and is there. But I want the image to restore. So in the new install I cant get it to do a image restore, so I try from Windows 7 CD again, Fail.
I moved the boot ini file from my hard disk drive and created a new folder in C: and I've put it there. And it is a bad idea because my computer won't boot. It always say Loading BOOT file from C://Windows and then as usual I get a black empty screen.
