my keyboard on my acer aspire laptop misses letters out but only when i am on he internet, it is fine on word or spreadsheets but on the internet it misses out lettes and sometimes the spacebar does not work

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am trying to replicate my Comcast email service that I use on a desktop to a laptop. It runs in Windows Live Mail. I do not have a Windows Essential account nor do I want one.I have downloaded WLM and installed in the laptop. Comcast runs fine but of course I am missing my contacts. I have exported the contacts from the desktop to a csv file and moved the file to the laptop. When I import that file, it only records in WLM 79 of the 649 records that are in the csv file (I looked). During the inport, I checked the mapping and all fields matched perfectly. Both machines are running Windows 7 Home Premium (64 bit on desktop, 32 bit on laptop) and IE9 browser.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI lost my Event Viewer, and had to do a repair installation to fix it. Unfortunately, during the repair install, Windows decided to rename my second HD as the D: drive... it was K: before that. Now I cannot access any of my docs, pictures, music, or videos through the normal means... they don't show up in libraries or explorer, and apps like Restorator and Sure Thing (CD labeler) cannot find them. I think that means the paths are broken..?
It won't allow me to rename the HD back into K: (it's not listed as available). I can access the data by clicking Computer > D, and I can see the data is there, but its unusable as of now. Any ideas?
I found a few pix in my files that I want to edit with Photoshop. I can't open them in PS because they are Type 1 or Type 2. When I try to open them, PS says they are .jpg.1 or. jpg.2. How do I get rid of the .1 and .2 so they become normal JPG photo files?I can look at them with Windows Photo Viewer but I can't figure out how to convert them to normal JPG files.

It is really strage because a few keys are working but not in thier usual function. My partner logged out so now i am sat at a login screen and cant key in a password. Yesterday I was just trying to win 7 botear a starter to format my usb my netbook but I Nose happened and blue screen appeared Nose xx80 that was more and restart the WinToFlash boteando .. after that when you turn the PC starts but before leaving the logo remains on the part of the bios and see a J and then not passed as Nose Hopefully I can help fix that and also whether the program was wrong to use such pot.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI just built a new computer which I am trying to set up identical to two of my present ones. The first terabyte hard drive is divided into 5 partitions, C thru G. Windows 7 is on C and Windows XP is on D. The other three partitions are categorized storage. I also added two more terabyte drives which are supposed to be H & I. Since my CD/DVD rom had assumed "H" in Windows 7, I reassigned the drive letter "J" to it. When I installed what was supposed to be my "H" drive, it showed up as "I". When I attempted to reassign the drive letter "H" to it, "H" is not on the list of available drives, So I tried renaming it to "Q" and then back to see if "H" would show up. It didn't. I went ahead and put the final drive in It was supposed to be "I" drive and indeed it came up correctly as "I" drive. So everything is in order now except for my "H" drive which still remains as "Q" until I can figure out how to make the "H" drive letter become available again. This si important to me since I do regular synchronization between my other computers and the drive letters need to be matched on all of them.I am not on the new computer right now, but on my last built one which has the same setup. I didn't seem to have any problem on this one since the drive letters are all on order. I've never had a lick of trouble getting them right on the XP partitions.What do I need to do to get "H" back on the list of available drive letters?

I knew THAT! You can't install without a serial number!) And a letter of transfer. Now THAT, I have never heard of before. I can't find any mention of such a letter online.
