Iomega StorCenter Software Not Working

Network storage drive that had loads of stuff on died, though we backups on a another networks drive and finally managed to get it onto a new Iomega drive.
However, the software for getting to the drive is basically a gloryfied web page. It can find the drive fine, and the folders, but cannot connect to the folders. It says "A problem occurred when trying to connect to the folder "Public"".
Tried running as admin, did nothing, then tried compatibility mode which it didn't run at all in. IE doesn't help either. However, XP can run it just fine, and can find the drives fine. But 7 can't!

i am running Windows 7 sp1, amd quad core, 6 gigs of ram. A couple of months ago, after either rebooting or logging back in, my computer began popups saying that various programs have stopped working. For instance: "Iomega automatic backup has stopped working". In a box under it: "Check online for a solution and close the program". And in another box: "Close the program". Other programs that quit working at the same time: Mesh operating environment, Adobe reader, Adobe acrobat, IE, Cyberlink, and one or two others that don't come to mind right now. Allmost all the other programs on my computer won't open and give the same popup. My virus program, Avast opens easily, but thats about it. I can open some programs by going to their file location, changing its compatability to Vista and then opening as admin. Threatfire on the other hand won't open unless I change its compatability to windows 7. Anyway, did virus check, ran threatfire, and some other things I can't remember right now. If I restore to an earlier period my computer works OK. That is until I log out/in or reboot. Then it goes back to its screwed up self. I'm reluctant to re-install windows as I have a finance/check writing program I use for my business that is a bear to re-install and get all the files in their proper place.

I have a problem I hope someone can help with. I have an Iomega Prestige 1Tb USB HDD which is working fine. I have however just insstalled Windows 7 RC on an old PC to try it out. The installation went fine and I connected the USB HDD and copied over a number of files to help further set it up to meet my requirements with no problem.
I then installed drivers for my Speedtouch 330 USB Modem and now the USB HDD is not working. I have tried uninstalling the Modem Driver and uninstalling the USB HD Driver and then reconnecting but with no success. I continue to get a Windows 7 error message. The USB HDD is still working perfectly on my XP laptop.
I hope someone can suggest a solution before I try a complete Windows 7 reinstall?

Has anyone tried using an Iomega Zip or Jazz disk with W7?
I work in graphics and ocassionally have to pull info from one of these formats.
Looking at the Iomega site lists support for XP. . . no mention of any x64 platforms or even Vista.
I'm just trying to figure out how far to go in efforts of backwards compatability . . . at least I'm not looking to integrate a Bernoulli Drive.

I have Windows 7 64 bits in a DELL Laptop Latitude E4300 working fine (more or less). I just plugged into it a USB HD from iomega with 500 GB capacity. I can see this disk without problems in all my XP (32 bits) based systems. But not on Windows 7. When I try to open it I get the error message:
Cannot access F:
The archive is damaged or inaccessible
I know the disk is fine. I have in this very same computer vmware installed with Ubuntu 64 bits where I can mount the HD and see it without problem (?) but not in the host Windows 7 system. I saw a driver installation message the first time I plugged into the laptop on Windows 7 but clearly, this was incorrect.
Should I uninstall the driver and get it from somewhere else other than the default place (which did not seem to work well)?

I currently have Windows Home Premium 64-bit and seems to be working quite well.However, when I tried to connect my Iomega eGo external HDD to *every single USB port I have on the computer* the computer would "see" the HDD but not register as a HDD that I can access.It will not show up in My Computer at all. The HDD has music files on it from a different computer, so it's not empty.When I go to look at the USB connections, it shows up as a USB Mass Storage device, but again, I cannot actually get INTO my HDD.As a side note, when I look at computer management, my external HDD shows up as Disk1. Perhaps I need to allocate a letter to it? How can I do that without erasing the data stored on it already?

I have an Iomega portable hard drive, which is compatible with windows 7, however, when running the Iomega Encryption Utility using the reconfiguration option to set a password for the hard drive, it told me you must format this drive before use, anyways, my windows 7 doesnt recognise it anywhere! yet before the encryption ran it did! in disk management it only shows my C drive, the Iomega showed up in my computer as a G drive but it doesnt now. Its like the computer cant see the hard drive! I read about formatting the disk but it wont give me that option when the device is plugged in.

My Iomega Home Storage NAS is suddenly not accessable. It is formatted in Linux (I believe). Can I in any way connect it via USB as an external HDD and save my files? My computer has Windows 7 64b. If I try to connect the drive via USB, I cannot see it in "My computer" but it is present in Diskmanager.

I am thinking about getting an 'iomega (#34836) 1TB eGo USB 2.0 External Hard Drive to replace a much smaller one from a different manufacturer. However, I have read a few reviews where some folks running Windows 7 had some problems getting it to recognize the iomega eGo External Drive. this External Drive while using Windows 7 ... either 'pro or con'?

the iomega_HDD(F use to be reconized and it was droped and now it is not reconized. the ubs connection is good i tried on another divice and it was reconized. The light on the imogea_HDD(F is on when plugged in but it makes a ticking sound and it is not reconized?

I am trying to fix a iOmega harddrive for a friend and the issue that he has is that the iOmega is not being recognized by his computer. The device has power, the disk is spinning and the led is on and stays constant, no flashing or anything. I have tried to see if the device was in Device Manager but it is not. The device is not being recognized by Windows 7 at all. No beeping noises when I plug it in or anything. I have tried multiple USB ports as well as other computers. The device just isn't being recognized.

I have a HP dv6910us Pavilion and the DVD is not listed in Device Manager. DVD Tray opens and light comes on but does not play DVD. 1st USB port on left side gets - USB Device Not Recognized.One under it works and one on the right side works.OS Windows7 Ultimate. It is running kind of screwy so I wanted to reinstall Windows7 but with the DVD not operating Can't do it. Seems like maybe something in the register got erased or corrupted. If I can get the DVD and USB port to work I won't have to reinstall Windows 7

The problem likely started when I cloned my drive to a new Seagate drive using a Seatools *Seagate** utility, which I believe is actually made by Acronis. The final fix was installing new drivers for the Hard drive from Intel "Intel Rapid Storage Technology"

I'm using Windows 7 Home Premium.My wireless connection has been working on and off for a while, but now it just refuses to work.The other computers in the wireless network are working just fine, so it must be definitely something in my laptop.I can detect the network just fine, with good signal.It says:
Media State: Enabled
IPv4 Connectivity: No internet access
IPv6 Connectivity: No internet access
Also, in the activity there are Bytes sent and received, but I cannot connect to any webpage either with Chrome of Firefox I'm using McAfee Security Center. I tried turning off the firewall, but it still doesn't work.

Recently my computer has been force closing applications like Photoshop and Windows Explorer. It usually happens when I right click in Explorer or try to open anything in Photoshop. i'm bad at explaining problems but ill try. i had a dual boot of windows 7 and xp. the win7 OS messed up so i formatted that drive and reinstalled, now when i booted up for the first time it said something about the MBR being missing. so i booted into the win7 cd menu and tried to repair but it said "this version of recovery console is not compatible with the installation" or something like that...so the only way i can get into windows now is to keep the cd in the tray and wait for it to load passed the "press any button to boot from the cd" then it will boot straight into win7. i also formatted the drive with XP on it. so what i need help with is fixing the win7 MBR in windows, i tried using easybcd but it doesnt seem to work.

when i try to play or burn to a disc nothing happened,so i right clicked on my computer,properies,then device manager,theres a yellow symbol under my dvd/cd rom drives,when i right click on any of them and open properties it comes up, Windows cannot start this hardware device because its configuration information (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. I posted that IE 9 (and Firefox) not working properly. I now find that Google chrome is working, so I researched this problem. None relate to my specific problem and nothing new in 2012. I have been using win 7 with IE9 for 12 months so no problems after installing and no error messages. It just stopped working one day. I cant do a systems repair because I received 18 updates yesterday. I have 32 bit Win 7 Professional.I dont want to use Google chrome as my IE set up as I want it and password program wont work in it. This is a must for me. Also a reinstall is not an option as I will lose everything. I could do a restore and reinstall updates.
