Cmd Commands Dont Work?
Jul 14, 2012I can't use any commands in the cmd prompt. It says that the command is not a command.I installed a jdk from oracle so I could use Javac but now its the only one that works.

Jul 17, 2009I've tried several times solving this issue but nothing seems to work.
I own an Asus M2N32-Sli motherboard with SoundMax 7.1 integrated audio and I'm trying to get a 5.1 sound system work on this. Windows is able to recognize the audio card perfectly (I don't even have to install any drivers). Control Panel allows me to configure it just fine, even the test works great; all 6 speakers work in the test, but they do not work in any application (Windows Media Player, Power DVD, Winamp...), I only hear the front speakers, not the surround or the SW/center ones.
I guess this is not a driver issue since they work perfectly in the test, but if anyone can give any suggestion, I'd really appreciate it.

Sep 22, 2011The way i connect to my XP network is i open explorer and click on the Network folder icon. Then i wait for the green search bar to do it's thing at the top of the screen and when it detects the XP computer, it will show XP under Network and i can access it.Well it stopped. No matter how many times I clicked on Network the green search bar only searched once after a reboot and it would not find the XP drive.After searching I found that you could open the drive by typing in the start menu's search bar, \NAME. This worked fine, so I am able to access the drive but why don't it work with the Network folder in Explorer anymore? After I open the xp drive this way, it will then magically pop up under the Network folder but not before.Also is there a way to create a shortcut to this drive? I don't see that option by right clicking on it.

Oct 8, 2012The sound card I am using is a SupremeFX-X-Fi that came with the Asus MB. I am running a dual boot system with Xp Pro SP3 and Windows 7.As per Ulrich's on the Asus forum I d/l'd the 64 bit sound driver set for the Rampage Extreme MB. I unzipped them and used the "AsusSetup" icon to install. After the installer ran it wanted a reboot so I did that. Then I got another message asking if I want to run (x86)analog devicescoresmax4pnp.exe to which I agreed. Nothing happened and there was no reboot required.Then using the MB CD I installed all the Creative Stuff. NOW I have the "SoundMax Integrated Digital Audio Volume Panel" in my tooltray as I do in XP but it doesn't do anything.
When I choose MIXER I get " No Supported audio device App will close"When I choose Karaoke Player "Audio device for this app not detected."When I choose Console Launcher " No supported audio device available close app."When I choose Audio Console " Device supported by this app not detected close app."So in effect, I am no further along than I was with the default Windows 7 driver settings.I don't know why I had to register the SoundMax card or software if it won't function!I even tried a re-install of the drivers themselves after I had all the Creative stuff installed and that did no good. I am back to square one with it all <sigh>What to do now? The SoundMax HD soundcard shows up in Device Manager so it clearly knows it's there and yes I have sound but only at the most basic level. I need control of the bass and treble at the very least.

Aug 15, 2012First I know this has been asked a many times but no solutions seems to work for me. I have a bunch of stuff going wrong and all seems to related to each other. I am running Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit.That is how the problem progressed:1. I was trying to enable Telnet service and found out that 'Turn Windows Features on/off' in Control panel > Programs and Features is a blank list.I checked on internet and i found out that it means my windows update wont be working as well so i check it:2. Windows update gives the error 80070002 and it does not check for updates.. Again check net and it said to run sfc/scannow in command prompt (as administrator). I did it. and it gives error 'Windows Resource Protection can't execute the command'.
I have tried everything. I have tried: msconfig.exe to enable/disable services and restarting and rechecking. Uninstalling my Avast Antivirus. Running MS Fixit toolI have checked disk check in advanced startup options. Deleted C:WindowsSoftwareDistributionDownload' contents and recheck the Windows update facility. Nothing works. I dont have Windows CD coz my laptop came installed with windows.

Mar 31, 2012ok i have just been given a dell desktop by my partners sister as she was just going to bin it so i said i would have it to see if i can fix it... so the problem is it needs a good clean inside the tower as its full of dust, so i connect it all up and boot the tower and monitor up and i see on the monitor the dell startup logo then it goes off quick and i can see the faded loading bar then i dont see anything just black screen, and the tower shuts itself off and back on again a few times and then jus the tower iv just cleaned out, never seen so much dust in my life lol its sound smooth when running now as all the fans have been taken out and cleaned and even the power supply as that had quite a bit of dust in ihavent got another monitor to test with, was trying to find a way to use my laptop on the monitor i will re install windows once i can get it up and running..

Jan 30, 2012I've installed windows server and Virtual PC Console to setup a new Virtual Machine. I can setup the machine but not run it because I don't have an ISO File. When Im gonna start my VM I get a messages that says; Reboot and Select proper Boot device or Insert Boot Media in selected Boot device. I have no Idea how to create an ISO file so this will work, never done it and when I use google to try to find ISO file that I can download I don't find a website that can take a nob like me through this.Bootable ISO - Create from Installation Files;Is there any way to make an ISO file that I dont have to burn or use USB?? I just want to have it on my desktop if possible.
