I have a number of rss feeds of shops that I buy from on a regular base, and have placed them on my favorites bar. When a particular shop lists a new item the name shows up bold, after I clicked on the new item in the list that drops down and load that page, the name of the feed goes back to normal.
I've done it 100 times so you'd almost expect I would remember... NOT.
One of the feeds didn't seem to work anymore. When new items were listed, the feed name didn't change to bold. So i removed the rss feed from my favorites bar, and deleted it in the favorites list.
I tried to make a new rss feed by going to the shops website, click on the rss feed logo in Windows 'Tools'. That brings me to a rss feed but I cannot click on 'subscribe' anywhere, so the rss feed doesn't work. I had one favorite that showed up as an rss feed in my favorite list but when I put that in my favorites bar and clicked on it it said something like 'no contents' or something.
I imported my RSS/Feed list in IE8. I have over 200 entries in my Common Feed List and I want to start over with just a select few. So first I want to delete all entries. My question is this. Is there a way to delete everything in the common feed list at once?
1. How to download in Windows 7 from Internet to a DVD to create an ISO image? 2. If the ISO image is larger than the full capacity of one DVD how do I create the full image? 3. Once I create the full image on one (or more) DVD , how do I transfer the ISO image to another HDD? 4. Can I create an ISO image directly on a 2nd HDD? 5. Can I create an ISO image of the Windows 7 OS on a second HDD? I have tried to create an ISO image for a few months and i haven not been able to do it. Special note: 6. How could I copy the Win 7 OS into an ISO image on one or more DVDs? 6.1 What size is Windows 7 Home Premium OS? 6.2 Which partition does Windows 7 store the OS in?a. "Recovery" ? b. FAT32 ? how to create the ISO image, how to install it, and how to make sure that the "image" could be used to fo make a backup of my HDDs and also how to use the backup to fix the computer should a fatal crash prevented from booting up Windows 7? IMPORTANT: I use only DVDs, mostly re-writables. Which is the best free Image Burn Software that does work with DVD's.(as I dont use CD's anymore)
is there a way i can back up my PC and have it in an iso format? I have looked at acronis but it give me an .tib. I want to create and ISO of my whole PC to an external nas.
I have a USB Drive that I can use to install Windows 7. I would like to know how to put the Windows 7 Installation files that are on my USB on to a DVD so, I could boot to the DVD and install Windows 7.
I recently got a new PC it has Windows 7 Pro 64Bit OS. My old XP box finally died. I have my music drive which is external USB 500 GB drive Seagate Free Agent drive. I used in on my old system. I have about 110GB of music on it. It is my main music drive. I got some new songs that i wanted to add to the drive. I tried to make a new directory and I received a message saying that I don't have permission to create a folder. I tried creating a new folder within my music directory. I can create a new folder within the root of the drive but I cannot create a new directory where I want it. I am an admin on the PC so I even made sure that I was added as a user on the drive when I set permissions and sharing.
I read somewhere recently that win 7 can create an iso file, just by sticking a cd and right click on the desktop and choose Burn. It suppose to have its own iso burner built in. I did just as that message said and nothing popped up. Now, it could be that it may be only on one of the win 7 versions, mine is the home premium one.
Just purchased my first Windows 7 Professional (64-bit) PC (Hewlett Packard). No media was supplied with the machine and I have been advised that media is not shipped anymore (apparantley it is Microsoft's way of ensuring media cannot be loaded onto several systems).
Reading comments on the internet it seems clear that I have to make an ISO file, but I'm unsure what directory/files I need to pick and copy.

I installed Windows7 Ultimate from scratch, and it warns that it might create a 100MB partition before creating a second one where the real stuff lives. This makes imaging more complicated.

Does someone know why Windows7 needs two partitions, and whether it's possible to have a single partition?
I'm also interested to know if any steps are required before imaging Windows7 (sysrep, etc.) where the image will be reinstalled on the same host (own test machine).
The tutorial for creating the bootable XP disc worked great and I would like to have a backup with SP1 on it for my Win7 Home Premium x64 (retail version). I didn't see anything in the Win 7 tutorials, maybe it can't be done with 7, but if it can I would do it so I have the cd with SP1 on it already.
i got a new hp laptop which already as 3 partitions. C:, Recovery (D) and Local Disk (Q). Since iam very new, i want to know can i take a Backup of the Recovery(D) in DVDs and restore the space (capacity) to C drive? Or is it necessary to have it in the system? Quote: About a year ago I set out to create me a Windows 7 live CD. Finally, I am able to present you with the How-To. But before we get into that, lets review what a LIVE CD is.A Live CD is an actual Windows Installation that you carry with you on a USB Flash Drive or CD/DVD. The Windows Installation is portable, meaning that you can have your own windows running on any PC you encounter. The Live CDs are most commonly used to repair computers that have crashed or to rescue data from a hard drive before doing a fresh installation. The great thing about a Live CD is that it does not alter anything on the computer you use (almost like a sandbox). You boot the computer as if it is your own (from the CD/DVD or USB). You can pre-install all the software you like, making it available no matter where you are. Sort of a Laptop, but without the hardware.
I could not install winxp or win 7 before hand because I had wiped the drive completely. I've tried formatting and all the tutorials on the internet and nothing until I just now tried Clean All. I'm wanting to go about this the right way before I throw it out the windows.Steps to take after a clean all command?I'm using a usb to install because my optical drive is a no go. Can I call my dir for bootsect from the usb? Please note that I can not repair my MBR, I have tried using Gparted, Windows XP wouldn't install to the HDD nor Windows 7.
i normal run windows xp on my machine but currently trying out windows 7 but i have a small problem. ok so in xp i create a network bridge with my wireless card and ethernet so that i can connect my xbox 360 to the internet without buying the wireless adapter. now when i try to do this in windows 7 i get an error that says. To create a Network Bridge, you must select atleat two LAN or High-Speed Internet connections that are not being used by Internet Connection Sharing. im useing a lan connection and a high speed wireless connection isnt that all i need....and if it's because of intnert connection sharing how do i turn that off in windows
I am trying to map to a network drive and I cannot, this is am hp laptop running Win 7 32bit ultimate, if I map to \servernamesharename, cannot map, I cannot even browse to select the servername, I can ping the two servers I have, I also have the local account in the laptop in the two servers which are still win nt 4.0 servers that only acts as storage servers, but if map using \serverIPSharename, then I can map to it. Is there any security settings that I need to change? I have others computers running win 7 6bit proff, and never had any issues like this.
I have Windows 7 Professional installed on my 13" Macbook pro, I went to attach a VHD, but the option was greyed out, it won't let me create one either?

I have a problem laptop that has a oem windows 7 home premium on it. I want to wipe everything so that only windows 7 is left and start from scratch as the issues I am having cant possibly be hardware based (I hope!!) The issues are varied. Can I write a boot cd from my current setup. Have googled it but see alot of topics that dont exactly match my situation. My ssd has partitions for system and hp recovery. Would it be simpler to restore somehow using that. Ideally I would like to create a windows 7 disk from my Oem erase everything and boot from cd.I know there will be a thread somewhere that fits this but I cant tell the ******** from the right way to go.
I am a database programmer. I publish a client-server application. I have a client who is adding Win7 Pro workstations to their existing network, which at the present time consists of WinXP workstations talking to a Windows Server 2008 R2.The application needs to be able to create and destroy temporary files on the server. The XP workstations have no problem doing this, so the server permissions are set correctly. However, the Win7 workstation is unable to create the files as needed. The same user and folders are being used, so the only difference is the workstation OS.The folders are visible and can be accessed; the application runs, and can read and write existing files on the server, it just can't create/destroy files there.I am not able to recreate the problem here, but I do not have anywhere near as sophisticated a network so I can't truly reproduce their environment.
